    LYRICS:
Babe it feels like it’s all happened
    23 years of the same
And I’m sorry ‘bout this morning
For the damage I will pay
All the mirrors face the walls and
I wake just to long for bed
“Love what’s got you so down low? - The saddest tongue is in your head!”
I forget the thrill of lies
The truth escaping through the eyes, now
You use voices on the phone
That once were spent on me
The world has changed beyond our doorstep
people talk and dress so strange
    I don’t know a neighbour’s name
And all of life is rearranged
Nice to know that you’re still caring
well enough to raise your voice but
If we must bring up the past then
please don’t speak to me of choice
Across the way moved in a pair with passion in its prime
Maybe they look through to us and hope that’s them in time

Hugely underrated tune from Fontaines DC’s entire discography. Probably one of my favourite songs from them

Yeah it’s just so good. Love the monotone sound of the accordion, it really fits the song. Their Tiny Desk version is even better.

@@benjadamon I played the concertina in school as well, similar to the accordion. Its mandatory in Ireland to play tin whistle or concertina for 6 years. Hearing it again in this song after so long makes it feel a lot more personal to me.

Skinty Fia had some amazing lyrics throughout but the last lines of this song are some of my favourite lyrics in any song ever. The strained, tired old couple who are living a world they don't recognise see a younger couple move in across the street and are instantly reminded of the joys of youth and love, people who they can relate too without ever saying a word. Amazing.

I'm amazed at how such talented people are casually reunited in the same place, get to know each other and form bands like Fontaines D.C.
Such a blessing to be able to hear them.

Reunite where? These bozos aren’t even from Dublin, and they’re literally owned by the people responsible for shutting Dublin down. They’re manufactured as fuck.

One of my favs! This band just keep on giving. I'm hugely shocked that they aren't a household name here in Ireland, It actually offends me when people tell me they've never heard of them.

Then found I was trapped with this thing strapped to my chest and had to wait for someone to come home to escape phew
    only then did I realize
    It was a child's accordion 😬

    Forse ci guardano
E spero che siano loro in tempo
