I met my boyfriend similarly the same way, I wasn't supposed to go out that night to a restaurant because it was a Monday and I had work the next morning. When I first walked in I went with one of my friends, who I mentioned to "I think that guy is so cute!". She then took my drink and told me we are sitting at the table beside them, and I had no other choice! We hit it off right away and coming up 2 years now!

As a child of this situation, I want to thank you for sharing your journey to motherhood. My parents (aka my Brittany & Anthony) are my world and hearing your story gives me even more appreciation for their journey to creating the family I am grateful to have today. Absolutely love how you guys included her and he included her in the proposal. Being a daughter of a single mom I always have grown up knowing how important I was in the dynamic and feeling included is so HUGE for kids ! It was so sweet to see. Love this love so much for you guys ♥️♥️

when she was in 4th grade 🥰 She had my maiden name as her last name before.
This whole story hits home more than I can express. I became pregnant my senior year of high school. I met my now husband when my son was a month old. He was in college and we took it slow. 13 years later, my son is 13 and our daughter is 9. We have a beautiful life we built together. My sons dad use to see him but stopped like 4-5 years ago... It is heartbreaking to see your child go through that. But he has always had my husband since he was a month old. truly a blessing a man can love a child so strongly, and biology is the only factor. Thank you for sharing your story!
My parents separated when I was very young, my dad took full responsibility of me while my mom didn’t really want to be a part of my life. My dad gave her the freedom to visit me whenever and never bad mouthed her even though she did very hurtful things to the both of us. It was very important to him that I came into my own conclusion when I got older, I’m very grateful my dad did everything he could for me and tried to make my life as normal as possible being a single dad. Growing up in a conservative country didn’t make it easy to have a child be born out of wedlock, let alone being a single parent. Thank you for sharing your story. 🙏🏽 Good parents are truly a blessing and I thank God for making him my dad.

My parents never spoke negatively about my biological father and I am so appreciative of that. I have always been my "step"-father's daughter.

My sons birth-dad dropped out of his life pretty much after we separated & divorced. When he was 7yo I married my 2nd husband & had a similar "name" situation. We my so that he could either call by his 1st name or dad. His response was, " I finally get to have a dad?!"
When he turned 13yo we offered him the choice of adoption. He didn't choose that because he always hoped his bio-dad would come back & want to be in his life. When he turned 19 we asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He said he wanted his dad to adopt him...so he did. They are so much alike that no one would ever guess that they aren't blood related.

hearing your story made me very emotional aswell. My mommy died when i was 9 (im 14 now), and i was living with my grandparents for about a month. Then all of a sudden i thought i was just visiting my dad for the weekend but I ended up staying with him forever. I still visit my grandparents tho. Also ive lived with my single mom and grandparents since i was born. My mom and dad had never gotten married, and she didnt have a job which is why she stayed with my grandparents. My grandparents would take care if me while she went to school aswell. Very similar situations. Except my step mom is horrible to me :(
I’m so sorry... I hope and pray your stepmom has a change of heart. My stepfather was horrible to me until I was able to cut ties when I graduated (he is mentally unstable and doesn’t want my mom having anything to do with her family or kids). When things are hard, remember that you are so loved and you will do bigger and better things.

UA-cam recommended this series to me a week or two ago and I've been following along with every episode. After watching this video especially I can't believe you were so worried you wouldn't be maternal while you were pregnant. Your maturity at such a young age was incredible and it's so obvious from hearing you both speak that Jadyn was priority number 1 from the start. Awesome family and now I can't wait for next week's announcement!

Her dad is my dad. Its sad and stress on the child in the long run to constantly feel obligated to make those trips when it should be the parent. Check in with her often, I'm 28 and its still the same.
