How’s Qatar Airways in 2023? Flying the A350 from Singapore to Doha | July 2023

Almost two years ago I flew Qatar Airways enroute to Canada via their hub in Doha, and things have changed since the peak of the COVID pandemic. Things have been resolved with Airbus regarding the paint issues on the Airbus A350s, and more people are travelling than ever. Also, Qatar has recently been named as the second-best airline in the world by Skytrax. They also benefit from the extension of the airport in Doha as well.
With the near end of the pandemic and the settlement of the Airbus technical issues, how will Qatar perform these days? In this video, I’ll take a closer look at their economy service on their route from Singapore to Doha, and on a new variant of the Airbus A350. Enjoy!

Nice video! I recently also flew on this exact flight in July also. Contrary to yours, mine was a super full flight. We were only able to get seats 40D and 40E at check in, right at the back of the plane and not window seats :( but well, who needs window seats when it’s a night flight and there are cameras? It also feels more spacious tbh. My headrest broke when I sat at my seat. The crew couldn’t do anything about it, but a wonderful crew member gave us some pre departure drinks while I moved to the middle seat (the whole row was only occupied by my mum and I). My only gripe with the IFE is that the moving map is not very advanced and you can’t seem to search for stuff. After that flight I had another flight also with QR out of Doha. I must say though, the service on the SIN-DOH sector was much better. It seems inconsistent among all the other flights that I took with Qatar. The crew just left us alone after meal service and didn’t bother to clear the trays until maybe 1 and a half hrs after the meal. I would fly with QR again though as the catering is quite good. 4 stars instead of 5 for me.

Hey! Sorry to hear that you didn't get the best possible set, but glad to hear the service was at least good and that they gave you predeparture drinks! Didn't really like the map and yes, the service can be rather inconsistent with some of the flights from Doha. I wouldn't say they are the world's best or second best airline...lots of work has to be done to really be at the top, including the airport transit experience.
