When all other hubs were shutdown during Covid April 2020, Hamad International remained open. Qatar Airways kept their services going. Getting people home. I was locked down in Kuwait when Qatar Airways and The Australian Consulate arranged a flight out to get me home to Brisbane. My colleagues didn’t see their families for a year but Qatar got me home to my wife and kids when nobody else could. I’ll be forever grateful to them. Great airline.
3 weeks ago I spent 10 hours at Hamad International Airport and loved every minute eating at Harrod’s Tea Room, chocolates, window shopping and spraying myself with lots of perfume. Can’t wait to return.
I was connecting a flight from Zanzibar to Texas at Qatar. Long story short I was stuck at the airport for nearly 4 days lol. Flights from Qatar to Texas leave every 2 days. The business class lounge made things a lot easier for sure and the showers were absolutely amazing lol.
@@jazeelhusain6254 it was during Covid when Qatar was not allowing any tourists into the country at all. Since the overnight hotels were outside the airport, they were closed to travellers as well.
