My logs say I've died to them 6 times 🙃
your hair is cool
Thank you for bestowing upon us the fire of knowledge Mr. Streamer
@@maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa733 nerd try dying to them 74 times
It really do be like that
that elder lemurian animation is priceless!
I can't believe Artificer is fucking dead
Oh hi Matt
Mini Mushrums are weird. They're classified as a regular monster but they have the HP pool of a champion. They're absurdly tanky.
Then you fight their champion versions and it's like fighting a boss lol
And they are called "mini" Mushrooms. I wonder how big normal size mushrooms is.
Their walk animation is dumb and funny.
Actually overloading worm has a hidden ability of negating your fps and making the game stutter so you disorient and die of this. I've seen magma worms do that too but it seems they have a lower power ability wchich requires more than one worm to be present in order for the fps to drop.
Ah but this is countered by a single item, a better PC
@@ryandoan9953 RoR2 pay to win confirmed
As a switch player, I can relate to this. I dread the arrival of any worm.
On a side note, the issue has got to be caused by all of the segments.

listen mister streamer, I don't think you realize how important pizza rolls are to me, so I'm going to have to ask you bump void revers up a tier
Clay dunestrider, wandering vagerant, and imp overlord put in mid tier:
Somethings wrong I can feel it.
Imp and vagrant are mid I’ll give you pot boi tho
@@gareth6956 nah imp is harder than pot boi cuz when the bleed starts to stack it SUCKS and the vagerants explosion also is just annoying.
@@timothytosser288 I'll have to check, but I rarely die to imp. Clay dunestrider gets me waaay more than him, but luckily I don't see it much
Imp and dunestrider are upper mid and vagerant is really only threatening when there are multiple of them using their homing orbs or explosions
I feel like every survivor has their own tier list for monsters. Like Mul-t struggles against some enemies way more than other survivors
I feel like Minimushrooms should be bumped up a tier, their attack hits hard if it actually hits you and the ground AoE it leaves stays out for a VERY long time and hurts like hell + slows.
For regular bosses I feel like Clay Dunestrider and Imp Overlord could have a tier of their own higher than the other 3 but to keep to your current tiers it makes sense.
I think you could have talked about the different Twisted Scavengers and how they rank up against each other (Guragura and Wipwip are definitely more dangerous than Kipkip and Twiptwip ) but also not a huge deal.
Great video man!
DullahanJeff also special versions rip through one shot protecc

"Jellyfish are low-threat"
*cries in MAAO*
I was in the Void fields and the Jellyfish got triple Runald's Band and triple Red Whip. Suffice to say, Loader could only survive like 30 of em before getting two-shot.
Actually there is an Extra Low Threat special boss, the artifact reliquary
depends on the artifact, and the state of the run, and it still does damage.
@@satsuryokoi7477 well that's the stage and not the boss directly. all the boss does is fire the homing beams in an orbit and gets 4-shot
Unless you're doing the Trial of Glass, of course, in which case it subjects you to an endless bullet hell of increasingly fast homing shots that will almost definitely one-shot you.
@@Bogeynator Yeah, but almost everything is threatining under the glass artifact. Additionally, that's the circumstance of you having 10% of your health and no OSP that you subjected yourself to (either by plugging in that code or selecting the artifact already), not the Reliquary itself doing that.
@@Liam-yl7pq Technically, the Reliquary literally contains the artifact in question, so there's an argument to be made that they're the source of the artifact's effect.
I feel so vindicated that Vultures have made it up to high tier threat. Every time one of those bastards clipped me from a weird angle and ended a run or put it at risk I would always think about how they got stuck so low on your last list and being like "nah, that can't be right." Wasn't sure if they'd changed since that video, but it's good to see you finally recognize their terrible screechy horror.
Agreed, I was very confused as well on the last list, their damage is absolutely ridiculous and sometimes there's so many of them
And their movement pattern is rly annoying, i generally stack wisps and kill any other enemy hopping that the wisp larvae stick onto them.
... as long as you're not standing completely still for some reason.
Engineers: sweating nervously
Did you guys know on the stage 5 map if you get a really difficult horde boss, you can just run over to the flying rocks and the rocks will knock them off the map and instant kill them?
Void Reavers also kill enemies in their blast radius, so it's good to take them out first if they're in a crowd.
Also, I have more trouble with Beetle Queens than I do Stone Titans.
Samson Yeah, their explosion does infinite damage AND it bypasses 1 shot protection.
Only dio's best friend can save you from that guys.
SSS - Contraptions

The true high tier: Your Australian friend hosting the server while you play in America. :)
At that point you might as well search for servers on the moon.
Interestingly enough, Contraptions are, in game, considered light monsters like beetles and not heavy like a golem or Templar. Loader's alt grapple drags light enemies to you, and you to heavy enemies, and it drags contraptions to you.
It suprised me the first time I saw it, because design wise, and gameplaywise, they absolutely seem like heavy enemies.
Yeah, I found that odd too
stand near wall. grapple. enjoy a oneshotted brass boi
imagine dying multiple times to the fire trail left behind for elite fire beetles
Yeah...imagine...
I disagree about the mushrooms. I've been gigaslapped by blazing mushrooms hitting me with 20+ stacks of burning when I accidently go into their pool. They also have a tonne of hp and stick around to cause problems.
Not to mention it absolutely sucks when you don't have a lot of damage and you run into a celestine or malachite cause once their health is widdled down enough, the basterds just heal in seconds again
It also sucks when you have the artifact of command they kill you while going through the items
Until now, I didn't know the grovetenders spawned anything. guess I've been doing it right

And bleed
"Soulless probes don't dish out a tonnn of damage..." I'M SORRY WHAT
I don't usually worry about jellyfish, but I think they become a lot more threatening on stages where they're the only enemy that spawns, like in the Void Fields. It's really easy for one to spawn close behind you, and because they only make noise when they're about to explode, I often don't notice them until it's too late to move out of the way. The normal ones do respectable damage on their own, but elites can put you in danger or outright kill you on higher difficulties.
You know you're shit when the Lemurian is your nemesis
I like how badass are clay templars, like literally they won't stop shooting until you are dead
Could we possibly see a video in the future about log entries for monsters and environments? I’m not sure if any other viewers agree but I only have log entries left to do in the game and I’d like to fill them out as fast as possible, but I do not know the spawn chances of radio towers or the spawn chances for special boss monster log drops.
Every strategy can be summed up as follows: sprint and jump around in circles while taking potshots at the enemy, occasionally hide behind a rock or something
Thank you for your videos, I love this game (RoR 1 was excellent too ^^) With theses videos I'm getting better at this game =)
It's fun to get a couple shaped glass and crowbars as Bandit so you can just delete Brass Contraptions with your R ability. In fact, mass deletion with the R is just fun in general.
Also a sidenote that Woolie forgot to mention: unlike other mid tier champion monsters where being hit is dangerous but not instant death, being hit by a void reaver explosion is instant death. Yes, even with your OSP up. You can't afford to get careless with dodging them, ever, which puts them above Brass Contraptions in terms of danger for me.
What I find important to know about dunestriders is that their suction attack has a pretty hefty cooldown of 2 minutes before they can do it again. That's nice in general, but pretty crucial when you fight multiple of them with a melee character (and your items are bad). While the intuitive strat is to kill one boss at a time, it can be good to bring down the health about equally on striders, then GTFO. One strider entering suction will bring the rest with him which leads to two important things happening:
1. All the striders will cancel eachothers heal.
2. If they finish, you'll have a 2-minute window where you don't have to worry about ANY of them pulling the move and all still being at low health.
Squashing Vagrants and Solus / Protect Units never gets old, easily my favourite bosses to fight with Rex / Mercenary.

Woolie, you're a legend.
You're our personal wiki but better, because you make videos :)
you should make an updated version of this because now theres blind enemies, void enemies, gups and more
Jellyfish are obviously low threats but one exception is when your in the null void and they get some movement based items. Then they are extremely hard to avoid (it might just be me being bad tho)
You get an automatic thumbs up for making it low/medium/high tier vs S/A/B/C ranks
...Beetle queen acid is superb at bypassing one-shot protection for a sudden run-over when you least expect it, though.
I love the animation hope I see it more

i like how when you give the option to dislike, nobody does.
Worth pointing out that woolie showed us ON STREAM that he has 7 deaths to beetles :) ( I think it was 7 it was a while ago)
They were most likely malachite beetles that spawned a crap ton of anti-heal spikes
Monky Dance yeah that or suicide, still thought it was kinda funny tho lol
Keep in mind he has almost 1000 or more hours in the game and only 7 deaths to one enemy, even beetle is incredibly low
That Abyssal Depths gif is too true.
Void ravers always get me in the chaos towards the end
Blazing Brass Contraptions still give me nightmares.
I would put the magma worm as extra low tier as well (not the overloading version though).
I mean, has anyone actually ever died from one of those in this game? They were more of a threat in the first game.
90% of the time they aren’t even attacking you and are off somewhere figure-eighting inside of the walls.
You are wrong. Queen beetle is a medium or high threat because of her lasting aoe attacks and crazy damage when their acid ball things hit you.
9:37 “Heat seaking balls”
I don’t I’m mature enough for this
You could also do something like this with void fields since a bison with goat hoofs is actually pretty dangerous especially with focus crystals
Lesser Wisps do actually miss sometimes to inaccuracy, but it is rare.
Not that rare. You just have to move fast.
If you time a jump with a couple of quails correctly you should be able to get out of the way.
Honestly the void reaver should be the least prioritized thing in a run because they aren’t a threat unless you kill them because of their instakill death explosion.
artificer : looting
ninja elder lemurian : im about to end this mage whole run
“Don’t let them do the big suck” -Woolie
I just want to know about the grandparents, I forgot this vid is too old lmao. I've gotten burnt too many times now
watching this after the survivors of the void dlc, i have to say squid turrets CAN be terrifying enemies
Mini mushrooms are a high threat because of their aoe and extremely high damage over time. If they spawn in the Void Fields then you are done!
everyone laughs at beetles until you play acrid and a elite one spawns right next to you.
when are you doing the full MAAO guide? i´m struggling to get consistent runs
Had a great start, got 2 blazing clay templars at stage 3 :/
I was about to get my first skin when on the last stage i got like 5-6 blazing templars as boss fight
Thus spawning even more because of scorched acres
Mini Mushrooms = Omega-Threat
Lemurians are underrated. I died to lemurians about as much as to wisps. Their shots have large hitbox and make you burn, making them very dangerous in groups. Same goes to beetle guards and stone golems. They are not as dangerous by themselves, but in groups can kill you very quickly
one time 4 brass contraptions lined up and shot me at the exact same time, killing me instantaneously.
worms after 1.0 took that to heart
Is it bad I've been having the most trouble with Beetle Queens than any of the other early bosses? I can't dodge that damn spray to save my life (literally). Titans are easy, Vagrants catch me in "oh shit I have no cover and am dead" every now and then, but rarely. The bugs just... shoot me. Over and over again...
Scavengers with chronobauble Op
the trick to knowing that this is pre anniversary is beetle queens are low threat
Succesfull Acrid run coming in hot
I have come from the future to say that overloading worms were been buff by making them more agressive an satanic on the 1.0 update, so better have that on mind next time.
Your amazing at risk of rain 2!!!
The best ive ever done was stage 7, on the easiest mode( it was with acrid)
btw keep up the good work
I find greater wisps to be a greater threat than the brass contraptions. Sure the brass and greater wisps attacks are very predictable but considering the blast damage I'd say that's harder than dodging slow moving spiked brass balls.
true
Hermit crabs belong in the ultra low tier with beetles since it's pretty much impossible for them to hit you unless you are standing still for a couple seconds with clear line of sight to the top of the map
The Beetle Queen can be a little problem for the new players. The tip is the same as with the Imp Overlord - don't strafe in a circle but also forward/backwards to Beetle Queen, otherwise the poison spit will hit you
I never took vultures seriously
until i had a pretty good run
activated shrine of the mountain and had a celestine vulture boss spawn
yeah... they hit hard
beetle queen is the reason for all my early game deaths...
The jellyfish always just spawn behind me ending the run early.
Mini Mushrums are champions and brass contraptions are really powerful normal enemies.
I feel like greater wisps and brass contraptions should be swapped. But I'm also on switch, so things are different. I'd also swap grovetender and beetle queen, and maybe move down titan. Beetle Queen is the scariest first level boss, since she can straight oneshot you with her spreadshot. Extremely dangerous when your mobility and crowd control are bad.
Man i cannot count the amount of times i got oneshoted by the bettle queen
To be honest I would actually swap beetle queen and stone titan because especially later on when you have more than 2 bosses, it can be hard to tell when all of them are about to poison spit and the distance from which you can get immediately shotgunned is surprisingly long. While on the other hand, the titan's insta-kill move (the laser) is much easier to avoid whether it's by just standing right next to him to prevent it entirely or just circle-strafing to avoid it.
Titans in group can be a problem, you want to take cover from a titan, but on the other side there is an other titan trying to kill you.
Beetle queens can ofc be dangerous in group if they shotgun you at the same time and there is poison all over the floor, but they're extremely easy to manage and it's not hard to take them one by one.
Beetle Queens have gotten a lot worse since they started summoning beetle guards along with beetles, at least in the early game before you have any good aoe
killed my runs so many times lol. no more mountain shrines for me until serious AoE
Tbh the only time I really struggle w wandering vagrants is on the first wave. If I get it first wave and I don’t have good items I’m almost guaranteed dead. (I only play monsoon)
My strat for scavengers is to always stay behind them, this way they can’t hurt you with their shotgun and you can wail on them until they die
For me I'd definitely switch brass contraptions and golems
I just, never get hit by brass contraptions, can mostly just ignore them
Golem on the other hand are one of the main dealers of damage against me, thus a primarily threat
And while the elder lemurian can kill me if I get close, I don't get close to them, and if I do I'm dashing into and behind them to get some damage in before leaving
Clay templars though are a real threat, if you're stuck in mid-range without cover then you're kinda screwed
the best character is dead to literally every hermit crab you see: engineer
This is just 12 minutes of someone saying "To kill the Cyber demon, shoot it until it dies"
wdym the full release is coming faster than it looks? Im so hyped now
The beetle queen always kills me in higher difficulty runs. She just snipes me with her acid spit and im dead
Void reverse are insta kill, doesn't matter how much he, teddy bears or clovers. Idk molded though but thats the only reason I think they should be high threat, not them but their death.
I really would place Greater Wisps over Brass Contraptions.
I may, one day, maybe, have died to a Brass Contraption.
Greater Wisps are so much harder to avoid without decent mobility.
As an Artificer player, Brass Contraptions may hit hard, the thing is they just don't hit.
Greater Wisps hit hard AND reliably.
Have you made any videos that go in-depth about Malachite and Celestine enemies? Those affixes are probably ones that end runs most often.
If you have any ranges attack and the scav doesnt have regen or teddies with the beads. you can damage him from a distance with acrid and the poision. jello % bases damage and just sorting ther with and atg or a royal cap. if you dont got for the first oblitorationyou get thwy have always seemes easy if you have any ranges attack.
So uh... today I had a really good run on Loader and I saw a Malachite Beetle. I wanted to see what it did, so I let it hit me. I died instantaneously.
Actually, I'd say that the Magma and Overloading Worms are a high threat if you are playing a melee character. Getting a DOT on you from getting too close is pretty horrible as melee.
The only thing that bothers me about worms is that they always fuck off out of the tp zone to take down that one turret you bought that spawned on the opposite side of the tp. :)
I have never had trouble with the Grovetendies, in over 100 hours I've only killed 45, like 5 of which were the actual teleporter boss, I haven't been killed by one. Every time I fight one, they shoot their chains at me and it resembles the scene from Pulp Fiction where a guy unloads at John Travolta and Samual L Jackson and outlines them without hitting a single shot. They are really rare and them hitting their chains on me is even rarer, to the point that I've died to more Beetle Queens (2 deaths) than I have Grover (I don't wanna talk about it...) If you get one as a boss just hope he drops his boss item, because if you have a few rose bucklers, energy drinks and goat hooves you can just sprint around and let the enemies die.
You can't say beetle queen is extra-low-threat. Because she one shots every survivor on early game monsoon, by shooting that homing goop balls, with you being near a wall.
