    One thing I forgot to mention in the video, and that some people are not realising, is that Blade is going to fall further behind as the game progresses. Since literally everyone scales off ATK, almost every support that is going to be released, will buff ATK in some way.
    This means everyone else in the game will get stronger as new released supports are getting more OP. Blade is absolutely not going to scale in the same way. Yes, he will be better as supports get stronger (because they don't exclusively buff ATK) but he will steadily fall behind every other ATK scaler.
    So while he's similar to someone like Jing Yuan right now, when a broken ATK buffing support releases, Jing Yuan gets further ahead while Blade just keeps waiting for the one that buffs him. We don't know much about Robin right now, but this could literally happen with her release.

    One thing I would like to point out is that blade is the only character in the game that could probably solo all the content in the game. He really highlights the “high survivability” part of the destruction path’s description.

    All things considered, he's my favorite character and main damage dealer for farming relics, traces and killing mobs. His team, Unlimited Blade Works, is one of my favorites, and while I don't have a specific main character, I choose whoever fits the job best. However, I pulled for Blade because his emo personality reminds me of Xiao (I play both games and haven't spent any money, just to see how fair the games are to non-paying players). Though his damage output may not be as high as other DPS characters, his playstyle, voice lines, and backstory are what drew me to him. I hope the developers give him the treatment he deserves, similar to what they did with Xiao, and perhaps indirectly buff him through new characters!

    I really liked your idea of buffing based on amounts of SP's used. Here are 2 of my ideas:
    1. A unit who drains hp every time Blade takes a turn in exchange for buffing him or deal dmg themselves.
    2. New Planars that for example give small crit%/dmg boost if you lose hp, but when you lose over 30% of hp > permanently ignore 20% of enemies def (basically like quantum set)

      other idea i had (that would also buff clara) is Unit that can apply effect simular to traiblazer's taunt to allies. just think how this would ramp up follow up attack consistency for both units. of course, only giving taunt would be too weak so also this uni could grant dmg or/and CC res if we go with preservation character or Dmg% or crit buffs based on taking hits or loosing hp with maybe even having ability to debuff enemies to make them attack more often but they take more dmg, deal less and can't put effects on friendly units

    with how currently we see a trend that characters don't really have to follow specific path restrictions i.e. nihility =\= dots and debuffs, I have this sick idea of destruction buffer with a twitst that character gives very strong buff in exchange for damaging targeted character. This way it's literally win win for blade, he gets buff and a stack. And said character pretty much still "follows" his path. And other teams can also use it cuz why not ? It would also indirectly buff some sustain characters.

      Nihility is debuffs. Even Acheron technically has debuffs. However, most forget that Nihility =/= DoT.
      Destruction is more of a self-sustain path, and Blade exhibits that well.

      ​@@Frostborne2778 acheron has 0 debuffs in her kit. Out of 9 nihility characters Acheron is hyper carry.
      4 apply dots, and 4 focused on debuffs. So nah, nahility = dots, but it's not exclusive to them BUT they are focused on dots, same as debuffs.
      For destruction, you are even more wrong, Blade is ONLY destruction with self sustain. Destruction path is kinda all around the place, but is more like a bruiser with splash\aoe damage.

      Instead of direct damage boost other usually have
      The Crimson knot boost more damage for the ult the more it stack and her passive that apply all damage type to enemy upon her ult activation

    Since Sam reduces his HP in his boss, it'll be likely the same for when he becomes playable, which means potential planar sets and future Destruction Harmony focused characters that buff max HP to ensure survivability for Destruction units whilst giving them that damage amp they need for those who cut their own HP
    And Blade feels pretty balanced, sure he lacks in damage but he's really hard to die lol (I love using him in Swarm with Abundance, goes to show how HP Harmony / Abundance buffers will make him top tier)

    I think a character like furina who bufs depending on hp fluctuation, because blade on top of hurting himself, heals himself too, it could be also a big boost for healers like Luocha and Bailu who fall off in terms of sustainers.

    I find that Blade's "DPS trade off" you mentioned in the video (like how DHIL is super strong but at the cost of being extremely SP greedy) is that while he doesn't get a lot of dmg buffs from his base kit (like DHIL's crit dmg boost/stacking dmg buff or Jingliu's crit rate buffs that come with their kit) he trades those built-in buffs for premium survivability and SP positivity. He is an absolute tank when you build him well, despite his kit heavily revolving around him draining his own health. I love Blade's playstyle sm and I'm hoping that we see a buffer or support to help push him into the spotlight again.

      All those aspects are irrelevant when the hardest content requires you to clear the stage fast/within x cycles. Even sim uni has preservation/remembrance cheese.
      If they were to release a gamemode with infinite waves with each one of em getting stronger, more you clear higher points you get. He'd be the best dps imo.

      @@This_Origami no you're totally right that while survivability is his strength, clear speed (aka high dps) is what the game and meta value more currently. I think a way to buff him and other units (like ones with backloaded damage) could be a mode where you get points based on how long you can survive (like how erudition units were buffed by PF) while clearing enemies, with healing from supports being drastically reduced (or something like that to prevent cheesing it, idk its just an idea i dont have a full concept thought out) meaning you have to rely on your own units inherent survivability

    One thing I can think of him getting buffed is probably a new Relic set or maybe Abundance pseudo Harmony unit's buff that gives something like a stackable % DMG boost whenever a unit's HP changes (receives dmg or heals in anyway) up to X number, and when maxed they also received a % RES PEN buff. That's something I think Blade can utilize at peak.

      @@imagebear8916 that's a common misconception but Blade isn't a berserker that deals more dmg the more his health drops or the lower his health is, it only increases his FUA frequency which is good but not the best if he isn't even at E6, so the HP draining effect isn't really the buff he needs but a DMG DEALT scaling based on max HP % I can see that there's a possibility since SU Blessings also gives a general idea of what possible future units kit can have.

This is just for me but, in a turn based game a DPS' value is determined on how much DMG they can put up within a limited number of turns that's why I called that it's better if he gets a unit/relics that synergizes and amp up his HP % scaling, but you're saying that he needs more HP draining to increases his FUA frequency, which doesn't mean much if that FUA deals average DMG (pre-e6). So you'd prefer a buff for him that focuses on a solely on his FUA mechanic instead of his overall kit HP scaling that doesn't fix his main issue which is the DMG output per action. Anyway, nough said do whatever works for you in the end of the day, I'll fully commit with Blade to be my main Wind DPS regardless.

      ​@@imagebear8916 ​ Let me just remind you of Blade's E6 - The maximum number of Charge stacks is reduced to 4 there's the "FUA frequency means more dmg" your talking about that lessen his cap but the thing that makes all the difference is the HP% Scaling which increases the DMG of the follow-up attack triggered by Blade's Talent additionally increases by 50% of his Max HP. On top of that his E4 which then again boost his HP% scaling. Does that not boost his FUA DMG? And since you're so down bad with the Disciple set as if it solves his problem, the crit RATE you will receive doesn't mean much if it only increases the chances to multiply a DMG that deals average at base eidolons which again, is his main issue. Case closed, let see on future patches which Blade believer has the better take.

    Dw blade is very unique and very powerful. Cos he isn’t like other dps ATK and crits, he scales of HP which is a really good long term investment. He is like wine he will age well with time, just watch how powerful this unit will become.

    Happy to see a video like this as a Blade main myself. The idea of overhealing Abundance to increase max hp sounds interesting. Abundance characters often struggle against enemies who can one-shot as they can't heal the dead, but with increased max hp, they might be able to prevent anyone from getting one-shotted.
    Personally what I love most about blade is his follow-up attack, it's always satisfying to see. So I'm thinking of a Harmony character who can buff an ally, at the cost of said ally's hp (the buff will be bigger to compensate the hp loss). This will create a high risk high reward plays for most dps out there, while Blade (and Arlan) gains an advantage over the others.

    I think the most interesting way to buff Blade would be a harmony unit that can capitalize on shifting HP values, especially because playing Blade with Luocha is so comfortable! Great vid btw!

    Really fun ideas 😊 It would be nice to get Blade his own Faruzan (hopefully one capable of working before E6)
    I like how he’s so flexible. You can slot him as the second dps in many teams. Maybe there are also new combos coming in the future.

    I think it's safe to assume that they will be trying some sort of hp shenanigans in the future, just like Hoyo did with Fontaine characters in GI. This also matches how Destruction/Abundance path works in the SU, so you can get the idea how they can do it. For now, it appears that their main focus will be the 'break effect' play style.

    This is for people that care about leaks:
    Jade is going to be a character that with her skill reduces the hp of the selected character by ?% and buffs them.
    She is erudition quantum.
    And Sam is HP% scaling and reduces her own hp but her dmg comes mainly from break effect, thats why in 2.2-2.3 we will get a new set that is based on break effect.
    Its all leakes and i saw it from reddit.
    I main Blade, and i want more supports for him just because i find him the funniest dps that they added in the game, i hope that the purple girl from the annihilation gang is going to be dedicated to blade

      Maybe he means Blade to keep using skills and reduce a lot of HP. If you build him wrong, then it will be suicidal attemps. Keep use hi skill and not able to calculate the moves, healer get stun and Blade get attack (ex. Svarog boss). Then, Blade is dead. He is dps. So if he is dead, then it will be funny.

      about jade, from the leaks we have rn, she is absolutely not looking to be what’s going to "fix" blade.
      if anything, this going to be a jingliu x blade synergy situation again. don’t get me wrong, they are a great pair and the og dual-dps but they’re not meant to be paired together. that’s because blade’s highest dmg team is the jingliu+blade team solely because jingliu is busted and carries a huge part of the team’s damage, but jingliu’s best team is double harmony ruan mei bronya.
      jade is going to be the exact same, because from the leaks we have of her rn (via dimbreath) she is basically AoE topaz. just like topaz who’s meant to be played with (preferably single target) consistant FuA units, jade will prefer consistent AoE FuA units.
      while we may immediately think of blade, especially with her hp decrease on an ally, blade’s FuA at e0 is the weakest part of his dmg. because of its inconsistency (i pulled blade on his first banner and would get terribly pissed when the FuA triggered during the non-bronya turn), his follow up only becomes important at e6. sure, by depleting hp, jade will make his FuA consistent every jade turn assuming she’s going to skill every turn, but why buff only his follow up attack when ruan mei, sparkle, pela or the upcoming jiaoqiu can all buff his entire kit and bring him to a much higher dps ceiling?
      obviously this is still leaks and it is going to change, but as someone who does care about leaks, let’s not forget a certain robot imaginary erudition genius society member was leaked to do consistent AoE FuA, and that’s pretty much who jade is meant to be played with, alongside Robin and Aventurine of course. (aventurine who can’t be played with blade also prevents one of jade’s best looking synergies)
      this is just to say that even post-jade, the chance of blade still being best played in hypercarry with ruan mei bronya or sparkle is still pretty high

    I genuinely liked the video but I do want to bring up a point about the specialized supports argument. I think there is a chance that we could get more HP scalers with an HP centric buffer. We saw something very similar happen with Topaz and follow up attackers. On release she did have some units she worked really well with. Notably Himeko, Jing Yuan, Clara and Herta to name a few. But post her release we have seen a steady increase in follow up style units. Dr Ratio was given to everyone for free, Adventuring is coming up. I wouldn't be surprised if Topaz's stock continues to rise as we keep getting follow up units. I could see something similar happening with alternative scalers like Blade.

    Knowing how Hoyo likes to make new units for whatever they’re currently doing that happen help old units, I expect something similar to your suggestions with Abundance and Harmony
    will happens. Especially as they continue to explore new archetypes in the playable paths.
    The overhealing idea is interesting. I’ve seen people suggest a relic set that cares about overheals as a potential way to improve Bailu. In another vein, I think more effects like the SimU Abundance Dewdrops could be something to look into. Not that such an approach would help Blade’s kit exactly. 😅

    Blade is my favorite as well
    I plan to eventually E6 him as well
    I hope we get more variety of supports that can help Blade in the future
    One idea that could work is having a support character(can be abundance or preservation) that combines the benefits of HuoHuo, Lynx and Fu Xuan's skill
    No doubt blade needs consistent healing in any of his teams but perhaps someone who can buff him based on how often hes healed or also provides hp increase would do wonders for Blade's kit, but the taunt demerit is necessary to trigger his follow up as well

    Blade has a lower damage output than other characters because he doesn't spend that many SP but also because he's a lot tankier than every other DPS unit. So I don't fully believe he needs to compete with the top tier.
    However, one way he could leverage this aspect of his kit is to run a non-sustain/pseudo-sustain team, maybe with a buffer character that redirects damage towards Blade.
    I love your idea of an SP-intensive support too, whether it works for Blade or not I really want this concept to come at some point.

    Jingliu x Blade x Jade + Huo Huo with Penacony land of dreams planar set to boost wind units' damage. Jade is an upcoming character that drains HP and boosts speed. 2 things beneficial to Blade.
    Rather than focusing on bigger numbers, try to get Blade to hit more often. Put him with characters that drain ally HP so he can get his 5/5 ticks faster and hit more often.
    Huo Huo also will help him get his Ult up faster. That paired with the global attack buff + wind dmg buff helps Blade. And the global buff allows Jingliu and Jade to increase their own damage too.
    You were given enough hints in the story. Blade seeks death and where Jingliu goes, he follows. To get the most out of him, make him lose & regain HP as often as possible. That will make up for the damage gap between him and newer DPSes.
    Also, (just putting it out there in case anyone was concerned) I don't believe Blade will be an abandoned unit. With Sam and Jade (and even Clara with her counter attacks), Hoyo seems committed to HP-manipulating characters for the long-term.
    So, going forward, try to pull for characters who belong to that playstyle. They will eventually support Blade indirectly and Blade will support them as well.

    i think what blade need is a character that increase aggro of characters and increase their damage based on how much damage or how many times they were hit. HSR has been quite out for almost a year and we only has 2 character that has taunt mechanic (also worth mentioning the lc) its looks like a niche role but it offer a lot of team comps depending on what u need. its not ground breaking or meta defining characteristic but its enough to lift those aggro dependent dmg dealers so they could just create a 4 star character from it and it would be mid
    i can see clara and blade mostly benefitting from it but its not only limited to that, it also offer survivability for a lot of situation.

    For a Pure DPS unit he does need an extra Edge against the other Units. The slow speed hurts if you're running 0 speed builds.
    They can fix him if they give him Defense penetration. That would fix him

      Ive dabbled with the idea of relic or planar set that gives either speed or insane DMG based on your HP%. This will probably be a bigger boost to Arlan (to whoever uses him idk) while Blade can benefit from more turns to make up for the fact he is not spending points as much.

    As a Blade main myself since 1.2, I will be very sad if hy forgot about him....really hope they release a good harmony unit dedicated for him. I like your ideas for future Blade's support. I also have some ideas like harmony char that can lower theirs and allies aggro except destruction/preservation characters and maybe blast heal to allies if a char is healed (like SU buff). So character that can heal themself like Blade could be played with 3 harmony units/no sustain :')

    He needs a support that can do taunting and some kind debuff but workw like a buff like spider web debuff on simulation
    Something like.
    Harmony
    Basic atack - hit one enemy, consume 3% hp to all allies exchange to grant one time nullfies damage to self.
    Skill - heal an ally and adjacent allies snd grants increase effect resistance and hp for certain amount of turns.
    Ultimate - target one ally and inflict it with a unique debuff.... This debuff will allow the target to receive damage from other allies while reducing the damage they received. It will also do extra damage based on amount of hp lost. The target health will decrease everytime it take turns but if the target received a damage but still have the debuff.. it will consume the debuff and recovers 50% of max hp.

    Seele is also stuck with a team that does universally buffing that doesnt focus on her own mechanic: Resurgence, so alot of other DPS-es can fit in her team. I really want to see a plannar set that Increase DMG base on the number of actions, which we saw in the form of The Hunt Blessing.
    Maybe sth like this:
    - increase Crit DMG by x%, when the wielder act consecutively, their ATK% increase by x%, stack up to x times. (This also work for almost every character that like to Ult and Skill on their turn, but the stackable buff only work for Seele or any self-advances character)
    or
    - increase Crit DMG by x%, when the wielder speed is above x value, they immediately take action after using Ultimate. (Magnificent for Sparkle since she usually having high speed, and usually ult during a dps turn, making it a double turn for them. It also work for Seele since after using Skill and Ult to get double Resurgence proc, she gain another turn for a potentially second Ult)

    idc if he's not meta I WILL get blade on his next rerun and i will use him with my jingliu (who i also don't have yet but i'm impatiently awaiting her banner) fr tho the ideas you came up with to buff blade are pretty cool ngl if i was going to use blade as a hypercarry dps instead if dual dps a harmony unit that buffs based on skill point consumption would be perfect and tbh i think an overhealer would be broken in general as someone who never lets huohuo leave my team once you get a sustain who's that good there's really no going back and it would be amazing to see new units pop up that can really benefit blade but still have that appeal for other characters

    We're seeing the break meta coming into play the further we go along, and though blade is HP scaling, he can still function within these teams since they skip atk buffs and focus on dmg, def shred and res pen. Then he has the bonus of having one of the strongest break elements with wind. While not a monstrous snapshot like fire/phys it is 2nd best in both DOT and snapshot. We'll see how he actually functions as we progress. I'd say he's got the Jing effect, and later in the game he'll see more improvement.

    i think between blade, jing liu, kinda clara and very likely sam i think there is a decent chance of destruction berserkers being an archetype added to the game as we go that they will start supporting
    also similar to how kafka plus black swan solidified dot comps and topaz plus ratio solidified follow up attack comps i could see either a destruction character that functions like jing liu light cone or a destruction character like acheron where either way they need other units to make their kit shine to an extra level

    Pretty much, the way I see, is Mihoyo's miscalculations in the in-game stats for the scale.
    Because, comparing the stats, most Atk-scaled DPS can reach 4k atk, depending on the buffers, builds, etc... and it's not far-fetched, and they have high scaling.
    Blade, however, lack so much in comparison, and the HP statline can't make up for the lack of scaling, because even in-game, the most practical HP statline most could get, is around 8k, only double the atk statline on others, but the scaling of Blade is less than one fourth of other DPS in comparison.
    So they try to make him have many dmg sources: his BA, his Ult, his passive FuA. But none can really make up for his low dmg output in total due to the condition for 2 out of 3 dmg sources kinda really hard to proc consistently, especially when most of DPS can do high dmg per turn, or special cases like Dr Ratio and Acheron.
    He's more like a sustainable DPS, but they made his scaling so bad that genuinely, idk. I mean, sure, back then the scaling wasn't even that high as of now, but it was 1.2, right before IL banner w/ a huge 500% Atk scale. That's just, outright dumb.

    I think we're gonna have a hu tao / fontaine situation where a character is released early on with hp scaling (hu tao) and later becomes buffed after a ton of other hp scalers (fontaine) come out so hoyo has to release supports that mesh well with hp scalers

    For Blade Fu Xuan is a little more than a harmony unit than to others bcs she increases max HP on top of the crit rate buff, so yeah, sustains buffing Blade already happened once and i except it will happen again sometime in the future if they make another HP based character

    They can play around with a support that increases taunt then buffs your character everytime they decreases/increases their HP, just like GI's Marechussette artifact. This plays with the destruction path, and can be used not only by Blade but also Clara. Also, they can also make it that when the character they buff got healed, they get damaged a little based on the healed amount, and vice versa (get damaged, heal a portion of it) With this, Blade can proc his FuA more.
    Or they can make it that they buff a character to insane amount but they lose a portion of their health everytime they attack, but doubles their incoming healing. Ult can be general heal based on the percentage of their hp and also a buff based on the healed amount. Talent can be that they tally the amount of hp lost/healed by the buffed unit and when it reaches a certain amount, either movethe buffed unit forward or add another buff.

    SO, I freaking loved this vid!!! As a diehard Blade main, I have been thinking about this for sooo long. So harmony DHIL or 5 star Lynx. Very creative! Have you had any ideas based on SU blessings? I feek like a lot of character kits are inspired by those. SU is a great way for them to test mechanics for future char kits.
    Also, I would LOVEEEEE to see this same vid for Yanqing!!! I think his kit actually has very big potential with the right kind of additions to the game. For example, a Harmony/Nihility inspired by that Remembrance blessing that allows a % of the ice dmg dealt to be dealt to all enemies, eliminating his single target limitations. Or a support who buffs EHR. That'd make him follow-up after his every attack, massively helping him with energy. These buffs would very useful to other chars too, like you said they'd need to be in order to be added to the game.

    New relics specifically focusing on Reducing HP every turn BUT, Has HP heal overtime for ATK+ Or even Crit rate/Damage definitely going boost, Blade, and Arlan.
    For the skills of it.
    2 piece sets will reduce HP every turn, But increase ATK% by 10% each turn. It also give 1-10% Reduce damage. Scale by HP%.
    4 Piece set. Will have a passive Heal every attack been used. It will be Scale by damage (Atk%). And increase Crit damage or rate the lower the character is by 5% to 20%. Depending on the HP%.
    This is a potential changes.
    4piece set. Instead of healing, Def% is replace, and instead of it scaling by ATK% It scales by Lower the HP. Similar to fighting spirit buff in simulated universe.
    Also possibly, New Mechanic, the hinted Evade mechanic that was, Mentioned in 2.1 Livestream. The lower the HP, The higher the evade. Scaled HP% lower than 50%

    I did tackle this and my verdict with Blade is that he isn't a must pull, but really strong if you have e0s1. He's at his strongest with a healer and two harmonies. The harmony characters could be Ruan Mei, Sparkle and Bronya. What made blade good is that he fulfills both the role of the tank and damage (though it depends on your luck since your buffers are sometimes more targeted for some stupid reason). But the HP scaling niche is hard to circumvent around endgame content like swarm and g&g which the elites can easily one-tap your team. Another thing hurting blade is that his Lightcone options are limited, at least in 2.0 the sam lightcone did circumvent that but by a bit.

    I was thinking a harmony character that buffs HP for all characters and also gives damage bonus scaling with each character's HP, not only would this be a nice safety net character like luocha by making characters more tanky with just sheer HP, it would also be a direct buff to blade who has a shit ton of HP to begin with.

    Ideally, some sort of relic set that synergises really well with HP-draining characters is the best option. I say relic set because if it were on a character kit, it would make that character rather niche and reduce the pull value.
    Genshin actually does this with Furina’s ultimate. It gives 1 stack of DMG boost (independent of ATK/HP stat) per HP percent loss/gain so the cycle of losing and regaining HP racks up the buff stacks.

    As a Blade main, this video covers all problems and issues with Blade extremely well.
    I honestly feel like hes going to be unplayable later on unless theres a very good/broken HP buffer. One thing is almost for certain is that if there is going to be a dedicated buffer for Blade, it would definitely indirectly buff other DPS. Therefore his overall damage would technically still be behind.
    My idea for a dedicated Blade buffer would be a character who states that if a Basic ATK were to not consume or generate Skill Points, consume HP to buff that Basic ATK by the character's Max HP. Yes, this indirectly buff Qingque but like I said, you can't buff Blade without indirectly buffing someone else.
    Again, fantastic video to bring some attention to Blade because he needs it 😭

    Just a really simple and comfortable DPS to use
    The role he originally was intended was a subDPS and tank but most people just run him as a hypercarry
    And the thing with having a HP support is that it'll probably give him like 15k-20k HO which is something you can already achieve but will miss out on quite some dmg
    Or maybe idk, a healer that increases dmg dealt to the one they healed based on the target's HP and healing gained

    When ruan mei came out they release xueyi with it both scaling break effect and right now in the leaks we have break effect scaling characters so hoyoverse is shifting meta if they make a hp dedicated support like ruan mei+ a fan favourite 4 star hp scaling unit and in the next patch a hp dps on a different element that can indirectly buff blade and shift meta (lets be real all of us looks leaks)

    An idea I had in mind is an abundance unit that does what the destruction card in simulated universe does. The unit 1) Increases the team's max HP 2) Skill creates field that spreads the damage to everyone (similar to Fu Xuan but not a damage focus) and does a teamwide heal through ultimate, 3) HP based buff. This way Blade triggers his FUA REALLY often and the HP based buffs (such as total HP of team) are reasonable since they are an abundance unit.

    Blade might be Outclassed just like his ATK scaling Brethren around or right above his level in Jing Yuan and Seele, He might not have the Buffer that is made for him, but both of the Buffers that have been Released work really well with him (Ruan Mei working Perfectly with him & Sparkle (Other then Blade not taking advantage of her SP regen, she works really well with Blade) and lets not forget Bronya (Who was the Only Harmony that even Worked well with Blade until the Release of Ruan Mei)
    So one area we could work on is a 4 Star Harmony that specializes in Masochistic DPSes (Maybe gives a HP or a all type Scaling buff (With both ATK% and HP% being buffed or one or the other being Buffed based on the Units Scaling on ATK% or HP%) and maybe either a Crit Rate/Crit Damage buff or a Damage Boost buff scaling to it's maximum with about 120%-180% HP loss on a Interval of every 20-30% HP.

    Yeah overhealing feels like a natural direction for upcoming abundance and would be a delight for Blade.
    I also think a revenge based harmony could be spicy. Like, what if this harmony can buff based on *instances* they have taken damage? Like once an ally has three stacks / instances, they can have a buff such as dmg or energy? Could also spice up arlan.
    Or what if a new character had a meter based on the amount of damage other allies have taken? Blade and Arlan (though lesser extent JL) would supercharge this character. Or if a harmony character metabolized a single ally’s HP, damaging them to buff them? Would really set up this stressful yoyo of survival, and emergency heal characters like bailu and natasha could get a minor buff too.

    I have an idea to buff blade, a support that has there buff timer tied to the sp usage of the character they use it on ,for example the support uses there skill on blade giving blade 3 charges of the buff the higher the buff charge the more power full the buff gets the charges can stack up to 6 charges giving blade around double the normal buff or maybe a support that allow the character to do more damge equal to a percentage of their max hp while providing other universal buffs

    We need a 5* Lynx equivalent. A healer that auto heals or heals over time that's SP positive and regularly buffs MAX HP of units as well as their damage. That, or a Harmony Character that's designed to specifically buff characters that consume their own HP (Sam is coming, and he seems to follow a similar play-style to Blade, so there is hope).
    With the new children of Ifrit teased, it'd be nice to see a harmony character that regularly syphons teammates hp to provide team buffs such as crit damage or raw dmg and/or traces that directly benefit characters from a specific path like Destruction (I'm thinking of the guy with the cello; that guy screams harmony and is deeply rooted in the path of destruction).

    I basically use Bladie for my Jingliu team and ironically I think that your hypothetical buffers would also make her team with him stronger (since people also say she's already at her highest dmg potential/her teams are stagnant) since more hp / hp buffing would make her less dangerous of a teammate, and the harmony unit would be set since she also doesn't use a lot of skill points. I like hearing people think of ways to improve characters; sometimes it's hard to conceptualize but it shows when you really love a character 🎉

    I have E0S1 blade and i usually use him when there are wind weak enemies. This time i managed to 3 cycle moc12 first half. I really hope he gets a dedicated support !!

    My idea of and ideal Blade buffer is someone who increases HP but also drains his HP and gives a buff that depends on HP decreasing or increasing (Furina vibes) that would make Blade entirely more consistent and still buff Luocha in the process

    Given Sam is coming in 2.3, and that they're leaked to be HP + ATK scaling WITH HP draining of themself, we might see a new support with them and there will be a new relic set for them so hopefully it'll be an upgrade for Blade

    Off-Topic but I've been really curious about a Speed Scaling character. Like their damage multipliers are directly linked to their SPD stat and their core mechanic is a follow-up attack against a character they have lapped (they took 2 turns before the enemy can take one). Someone with a lot of personal SPD/Advance Forwards

    I have been thinking this exact same thing all week he needs dedicated supports
    maybe a healer that can drain a character periodically to heal said character and the rest of the team
    hopefully does this while buffing our boy while he/she's at it

    my idea would involve
    1. add another mechanic when using his enhanced basic atk for example:
    - blade consumes 10% hp when using his enhanced basic atk then he gains 1 permanent stack of dmg boost up to 3 times in his enhanced basic atk state until the state ends and start all over (imo) but just an interesting idea
    2. Yes maybe another person mentioned it a harmony he/her kit would involved by which using their skill , by taking a percentage of blades hp% and turning it to dmg boost for 3 turns (any suggestions on how much dmg boost% can he/she give)
    well that's from me but just tell whether you its good or not

    One team I am having good time with is Jingliu, Blade, Ruan Mei/Bronya and Luocha/Fu Xuan for just maximum comfort, I havent struggled with this team ever and I have full cleared every MoC and interation of SU to date

    As a long-time Xiao main, I get the comparison, but expecting a Xianyun/Faruzan is a bit far fetched. Xianyun is not a strict 'Xiao support' but enables a different playstyle for a lot of different characters, and as for Faru, MHY always intended to release element-specific buffers which made her release inevitable. If anything, she was 'meant' for Wanderer. I think MHY will definitely release a buffer with some HP mechanics, but likely in the wake of a shiny new HP scaling DPS. It would be great to see a buffer who does the opposite of Sparkle (limits SP to 3/4) in exchange for a big buff and see how that plays out with Blade/Jingliu type SP +ve units.

    What about a Preservation unit that buffs the teams Base Hp, reduces damage taken by the team, has a talent like the destruction 3* blessing that shares damage across the team [with the highest HP unit taking the most of the damage share] and has a small team heal after losing hp a certain number of times. Running with the damage share idea, they could have some kind of a "Sturdy" buff, like from pokemon, that makes it so as long as they have "Sturdy" buff allies can't be taken below 1hp. Or they could have self healing in their kit and an "HP Balance" skill of some sort allow them to balance the HP of the team. No shields obvi, kinda like Fu Xuan. The damage share would help him not need to rely on taunt value and it would buff his HP.
    Though there could be other buffs like how Fu Xuan gives Crit Rate, but these are just rough ideas for a preservation type character for him.

    Blade's main "buff" is his e1. If you want him to be a main dps and keep up somewhat you need it. The main meta now is running 2 supports with your main dps, and there are very few supports in the game who's buffs blade can completely can take advantage of. Off the top of my head the only ones are ruan mei, silverwolf, pela, and guinaifen, and only 3/4 of those will actually boost his dmg by a lot. Bronya and sparkle are close behind but they both have 2 big buffs that blade can't really use so he loses possible dmg.

      Bronya is by far Blade's best support even with her ATK buff being wasted, she's far better at supporting him than Pela SW and even Sparkle.

    As a Blade haver that doesn't have Bronya, I run a dual DPS team with him and Sushang. It's kind of fun tbh lol, I also threw in Pela and Luocha in there for enemy debuffing and healing

    As he is my only DPS aside from Kafka, Clara, and Qinque (sparkleless) I would love a Blade buff so he does not feel like a wasted pull.

    Honestly i’m fine with the way he is. He’s pretty much a bruiser that you can slap anywhere. Team needs a tank? Slap him in. Need a double dps? Hell yeah slap him there. Not sure who else to put? Yeah he’s perfectly slappable there. He’s not the ‘best’ but he’s very damn flexible. Also i think hoyo’s just being extra careful with how they handle scalings. He scales with hp and if you’ve played genshin before then you’d know how terrifyingly powerful that can be. Maybe we’ll get more hp buffing units eventually or even bosses that he can benefit from with hp loss, but he pretty much works fine as is. Any buff he’d indirectly get will be an added bonus. Hoyo just has to be careful otherwise they’ll be making him an actual monster in gameplay too 😂

    I main blade and would love a dedicated support, but i think he is fine as is rn, cus he does a very good amount of dmg with only bronya or alone. But him and his unlimited bladeworks team is like a swiss army knife. Very bulky team(fu xuan, blade, lynx or sparkle, and bronya from my experience ), does very good dmg, and can be used for moc, pure fict, sim uni/swarm/golden perfectly(maybe struggles a bit with meme of death sim uni)

    Fu Xuan already does the HP increase. I think I'd like to see an Abundance/Harmony hybrid that buffs other stats with overheal

    He was my first five star DPS, and really helped me progress
    The thing for Blade is he's not even bad. He's a strong unit. He just gets outshone by everyone else.
    I'm praying they add an HP buffer. I suspect though they'd have to add more HP scalers. My thought is Sam might scale of HP, opening the window/demand for an hp buffer. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a four star since I don't think a five star hp buffer would sell even with Sam coming out
    1:13 his tier list is ridiculous. Seele being better than Blade is HIGHLY debatable (in my opinion). Mainly because I feel like Blade is just overall better in more situations

    Blade is underrated. I wish I had him for my JL team. I always borrow my friend’s blade for farming mats and relics. Running him in a dual dps setup w JL and Ruan Mei is faster and just more fun than running hypercarry.

    harmony like ruan mei (defence shred & res shred without atk% based buffs) but with 100% action advance
    abundance like 5 star lynx + luocha (hp% buff & taunt values & auto giga heals and cleanse)

    Wdym no one will pull? Just hide HP buffer under the guise of Abundance character. Like literally 1-3 turn max hp buffs. We already have little Landau girl. Then throw in some crit damage and speed cuz (looking at HuoHuo, Fu xuan, Aventurine) they do seem to do non straightforward supports a lot of time.
    Nvm, you said it later.
    Still considering that there will be Acheron's dedicated nihility support later with healing, def shred and ultimate dmg buff - something similiar might happen later to the blade. Not to say that he'll get a dedicated support, but rather similiary weird character that will boost him further. Support type who can sypon allies hp as an equal exchange of sorts for buffing their damage, with weird ass self destructive traces like berserker archetype playstyle - getting % damage buff on certain hp thresholds, or even team wide crit dmg scaling from the total amount of hp sacrificed.
    Kinda like those ideas in Hu Tao or Arlecchino but instead of focusing on one character placing that stuff on the whole team.

    It would also be fun to make a character that "links" enemies together. This means if they receive damage, the damage will also be received by linked enemies, making characters with psuedo AOE characters like blade or pure AOE characters (jing yuan) really shine

    Blade really shines in high difficulty SU with Destruction path, really difficult ones like Conundrum mode or before you unlocked all buffs. Which had me believe that his kit is perfect as it is, he just needs a more dedicated support.

      He is a good character. He's a good investment because he's unique in self damaging and HP scaling while maintaining high blast and aoe damage. He just needs more dedicated supports and over time he'll see more relevance imo
      Blade, while he may not excel in certain environments he can clear any kind of content and is one of the only chars that can solo stuff like simulated universe or swarm/g&g conundrum which are typically extremely hard
