I'm 55 and watched Chips as a kid. I had an accident this year and watched chips while I was laid up for 2 months. It brought back some memories, I especially enjoyed the roller disco episode.
Awesome. I did too . I was in the hospital for 3 weeks, and watching Chips was one of the shows that helped me hang on . I'm 48, and I was born in Carson CA, and watching Chips reminds me of my early life as a kid on So Cal. All the classic cars .. I miss those days
I agree with Erik's take on the inappropriate and degenerate stuff our kids are exposed to today. Chips and the other shows of that era were part of my childhood. Great memories of just being a normal kids and growing up in the 70s and 80s. I'm glad that I am still able to show my kids these classics! 😎👍🏼
Absolutely two legends. Chips is truly an extraordinary television show, unique and unrepeatable. It is a great honor to be able to meet Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada, an enviable opportunity for all their American fans. How lucky! A dream for European fans....👍💯 7M3 7M4 .... You're unique 💖
Here's something you all should try. Not only get Erik Estrada and John Wilcox, but also Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe from Emergency! together. That would be a show!!!
Love these guys. Just rewatched all 6 seasons of CHiPs. Jon Baker / 7-Mary-3 is still my favorite character and Larry Wilcox as a Marine. Glad to see they are having fun and getting along and reminiscing. Grew up on CHiPs & Emergency…..today I’m still in Medical. That show had so so so many gorgeous women.
Best 70s kids were watching chips and emergency.... Even I ended up being a nurse when I grew up. I had an incredible gift for chronic wound resolution.
I wasn't born until 76.. but I would watch emergency reruns, and old and new episodes of chips as a kid in Southern California. My most memorable chip episode was the one with Donny Most as Molach the KiSS knockoff..lol it's scared me though😂
I went from 5 to 15 in the 70s. I loved all these shows. The Rookies, S.W.A.T., Police Story, C.H.I.P.s, Rockford Files. Of course The Six Million Dollar Man ruled over all.
Thank you Larry Wilcox for your service. I am a big fan of both of this two actors Erick Estrada and Larry Wilcox I believe that Erick Estrada and the Host should THANK Larry Wilcox for his Military Service.
As a young kid I watched this show and really liked it! …never thought about becoming a police officer but just retired, yes as a traffic officer - Motor Officer . Call sign was 55-Mary 1. Started riding a Kawasaki 1000 and finished on a Honda 1500 ST shaft driven..Really enjoyed riding a bike🙂
Loved CHIPS as a kid, this was great, two class acts, wish I could've seen this live, as someone else noted, unfortunately sounds like a small crowd,, people don't realize how popular CHIPS was
Adam -12 was good. CHiPs brought it to a whole new level. I'm one of those 50-something Gen Xs who turned 6 in the 70s and 16 in the 80s, so this show was my stuff!
i love ships and awhile finally finshed watching adam 12 started years ago and never carryed pn and once i got into into finally got into it many many months ago once i was done with it i wanted more episodes and chips deserved more seasons and the one girl should have stayed and yes eric had a ego where is larry was more grounded
With 25 years and counting as a state trooper in the midwest, I still appreciate the work these guys did on this show, and I still love the show. Thank you gentlemen.
I loved you guys the show growing up I never missed any of your shows I watched every one god bless you both you both look amazing I wish there was a new chips show inn2025 you guys still could do it so good
What about all Star Trek series/movies, Star Wars series/movies, Stargate series/movies, all Knight Rider series/movies? Also the 1994-1999 (all 4 seasons) American 🇺🇸 television series called: Viper.
Not just entertaining nostalgia here, but enrichment. Two guys with disparate backgrounds and an unbreakable bond sharing life lessons and some fun as well.
I used to work as a courier driver for one of the "Big Three" overnight companies. Every morning, I would wait for everyone else to get on their radios and check them in their respective trucks. Then I would get on my radio and call out, "L-A 15 7 MARY 3 & 4..." I could see my colleagues in their trucks, just shaking their heads.
I took a rider course for advanced rider techniques and the teacher had 3 of the old Kawasaki police bikes, when I got on that that old KZ1000, I thought ‘crap!, this thing is heavy!’ But wow! It could really handle tight turns very very well. I loved it. One take away from those classes was all the Chips jokes. I loved that show.
wow this brings me back to my 5 yr old self. i remember my first kid's electric/battery car was a CHiPs motorcycle from Toys R Us. Came with the famous helmet, CB radio, badge and siren. All that was missing was the theme song lol.
I didn’t watch the whole interview, but I didn’t hear any questions on the many guest stars they had on the show. They had famous singer Laura Branigan, who played a singer, and had to do quite a bit of acting on the show. I’m from Burbank, so I noticed a lot of it was filmed I. Burbank. She even sung at the Golden Mall, at the end of the show. Another shot was filmed next to the entrance of the Equestrian Center on Riverside. Sadly Laura passed away several years ago.
So many people still love and watch Chips.. and many think its a stupid show.. but what those people dont understand, is that Chips was never a top quality show in terms of the acting. and its imperfectness is part of its charm.❤ i love chips
You should of asked Erik Estrada about the soap opera hit which he started in with Laura Leon and Bibi called Dos mujeres un camino, two women one path. Which he did back in 1994.
i watched chips as a kid i remember when erik left i wondered if he was coming back in that day you had to buy a magazine weekly with news on tv shows i also remember seeing erik in a Hunter episode with fred dryer i believe and larry produced the movie he mentioned i remember watching it because i saw his name in the credits i watched the cop reality show in Muncie IN with erik in it great to see you both again in this video tv is not the same as it was back then it saddens me that all the shows think they have to have cussing and edgy scenes
Besides ChiPs, we cannot forget about Emergency with Randoph Mantooth & Kevin Tighe because they also influenced a lot of 1st responders such as EMT's and Paramedics as California enacted the program 1st. I remember when Larry & Erik had a fallen out during middle of multiple seasons. So, producer brought Bobby aka Tom Reilly as trainee Trooper with storyline stated Jon went to his father's ranch to help out. It looks like that they buried the hatchet. Petty Egos, I guess!
If you need somebody to do sound for you, I’ve been doing sound all of my life. I would really like to take a crack at it. Because these videos sound distorted. Obviously with the audio overblown.
Why do your mics and sound engineers cannot figure out using a limiter. The distortion is amazing. All you have to do is use the fader. Use compression, limiter, and a fader and it will sound amazing. All of these reunions of the past sound incredibly bad that I have watched in the past 5 years or so. Get it together already. I remember waking up late to an event in New Orleans back in late 1990's. It was a Tennessee Williams event. They had on CNN sponsors. We were given shit gear but did not allow for hot mics to go loopy. Bring the friggan faders down and compress it or use a limiter already. Shitty equipment can be manipulated. Dial down the frequencies of 1k and most bottom end. They hurt the ears and usually punish
Much softer tone especially for speaking engagements when you actually pull down the faders on the EQ. Stop pushing them forward. This causes the hot mess
Loved CHIPs! Great music intro. Great story lines. Eventually, Larry's departure took away the dynamics of the show's main characters chemistry. Hence, I stopped watching the show

💯
CHiPs wish there was CHiPs 2024 and be in the current times
Chips was the most boring show at the time. The A team was better.
@@INDREAMSBEGINSRESPONSIBILITIESNo way, Chips was way better
You can just tell that neither of them are down with the sickness of Hollywood, especially today.
My god! These two guys are looking unbelievable. I can’t believe they are 75 and 77 years old. How is it possible?
Money removes stress.
Met these guys and Robert pine this year. All very cool and down to earth guys!
I still watch the re runs of CHIPS. Love that show. I grew up in the 60's into the 70's..
I do too.
And now they have episodes on FB, so I just watch those so I don't have to stream. Long live Chips❤
Here's something you all should try. Not only get Erik Estrada and John Wilcox, but also Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe from Emergency! together. That would be a show!!!

I grew up watching Chip's and always loved the opening the music the shifting of the motorbike with Ponch and Jon riding down the highway!!!!
Iconic!

Watched you guys from Singapore back in the 70s. Am 57 now, love you guys man!!
Loved the show I was young. The motorcycle stuff was great as a youth. It showed cops were good people.
With 25 years and counting as a state trooper in the midwest, I still appreciate the work these guys did on this show, and I still love the show. Thank you gentlemen.
❤
I loved you guys the show growing up I never missed any of your shows I watched every one god bless you both you both look amazing I wish there was a new chips show inn2025 you guys still could do it so good
Always nice to see you both x
Best show ever. My favorite show. Im from brazil
Iconic show if you are male and between 50-60
CHiPs, Adam 12, Emergency!, those were the good old days. Not the crap that's on TV today.
What about all Star Trek series/movies, Star Wars series/movies, Stargate series/movies, all Knight Rider series/movies? Also the 1994-1999 (all 4 seasons) American 🇺🇸 television series called: Viper.
I have met many celebrities and I consider Erik Estrada to be the nicest one ever!
My favorite show, still watch the reruns.
I love these guys so much. Glad they're here and healthy.
Not just entertaining nostalgia here, but enrichment. Two guys with disparate backgrounds and an unbreakable bond sharing life lessons and some fun as well.
They look great!
I had the toy action figures and motorcycles. I loved these guys!
Epic!! Two outstanding legends!!
Never miss an episode
We use to watch Chips and BJ & the bear on Saturday night with popcorn and soda. Great memories!
Im 43 and love CHiPs, i jsut wish it would have last longer and there wasnt the disputes that lead to larry and erik not being on the show
I loved the show and love them both!
Yes Eick is ight i miss those days watching with my mom & Dad and my brothers watching on Sunday night.
Back when Life was simpler, .... People were a bit kinder to each other ......
A pair of really great guys.❤👍😎
I took a rider course for advanced rider techniques and the teacher had 3 of the old Kawasaki police bikes, when I got on that that old KZ1000, I thought ‘crap!, this thing is heavy!’ But wow! It could really handle tight turns very very well. I loved it. One take away from those classes was all the Chips jokes. I loved that show.

Glad to see based on their comments that they both seem to have some morals and don’t agree with all this mental illness we see on tv nowadays.
i love the show own alll the cd's 1st season rocks like malibu!!
I met Erik at a comic con in Texas he really is a nice guy.
wow this brings me back to my 5 yr old self. i remember my first kid's electric/battery car was a CHiPs motorcycle from Toys R Us. Came with the famous helmet, CB radio, badge and siren. All that was missing was the theme song lol.

Still watching Chips when I get a chance 7-Mary -3-4 Jon n ponch , looking good for mid 70s 👍. Tv today is crap,
Im a teen rn and i absolutely love watching chips compared to anyother tv show out there. So sad it stopped at only 6 seasons
It was a non-violent. Era in the 80 s Same with the A Team
Im watching Chips Season 1 episode 20, Rainy Day as I write this. I hate seeing my heros get old :-(
What great hair they both still have 😅
I wish the moderators in these conventions would repeat the questions asked by the audience, because we can't hear them in the video.
Nice Kmart mics. 🎤
LMAO!
So many people still love and watch Chips.. and many think its a stupid show.. but what those people dont understand, is that Chips was never a top quality show in terms of the acting. and its imperfectness is part of its charm.❤ i love chips
Could Erik Estrada look anymore bored🤔
That's what I was thinking/wondering.
Sounds like a small crowd unfortunately. Fun show when I was a kid.
Unfortunately, it was. Maybe 20-25 people. I was surprised. There were about the same amount in the Joe Pantoliano panel too.
And nobody thought to have a microphone for the all the questions???
The venue didn't provide enough mics the first day. We fixed that the following day.
My question for Erik would have been if he got later in life a Firebird Formula like he had on the show. What a cool car that was.
I grew up watching them
Happy memories chips
Sound is bad. Audience is even worse. CHiPs was an awesome show! These two were great together.
I have all 6 Seasons of Chip's on DVD, my favorite Episode is Season 2 Mait Team
That show mad every kid want to be a motorcycle cop.
Chips was after emergency ended . I remember
You should of asked Erik Estrada about the soap opera hit which he started in with Laura Leon and Bibi called Dos mujeres un camino, two women one path. Which he did back in 1994.
I did.
Are you going to do anymore chip shows
We will be publishing another CHiPs panel within the next week or two.
i watched chips as a kid i remember when erik left i wondered if he was coming back in that day you had to buy a magazine weekly with news on tv shows i also remember seeing erik in a Hunter episode with fred dryer i believe and larry produced the movie he mentioned i remember watching it because i saw his name in the credits i watched the cop reality show in Muncie IN with erik in it great to see you both again in this video tv is not the same as it was back then it saddens me that all the shows think they have to have cussing and edgy scenes
My childhood heroes
The Cross and the Switchblade
The Last Ride of the Dalton Gang
Had the Ponch action figure.
Maybe Eric knows Eddie Haskel who was a LA Motorcycle Officer 🪦 back in the day.
Larry Wilcox is a Vietnam Veteran (Read his history)~Erik was all hype, just a face....
Yeah I was kid and chips and mork and Mindy were my favorite shows 😂
Sounds like there were 2 people in the crowd
wuuup d'ere he is!

only eric had the ego
Why is it that most of these types of convention panels always have lousy audio?
Like the show, but I was sorry to see Wilcox leave.
If you need somebody to do sound for you, I’ve been doing sound all of my life. I would really like to take a crack at it. Because these videos sound distorted. Obviously with the audio overblown.
What ever happened to the lady that played officer Kayhill?
CHIPS 99 Guns were drawn...
We were from west Virginia we seen California and it dam sure not like where we lived
🤗👍
I will never forgive them for pulling over H.R. Puff'n Stuff.
Lol
One show only one I remember Bear drew his gun. Not at anyone but he was in a ditch or something
La15 Mary 7 3&4
Seven Mary three
Ever heard of the Rock band?
WHO????WHAT BRAND OF CHIPS DO THEY ADVERTISE LAYS????

Tough crowd
Adam 12
Emergency! (Taught real-life stuff)
Chips
TJ Hooker

The mics were provided by the venue. I already plan to bring different mics next year.
Estrada sure seems full of himself.
Eric are you on the juice?
Loved CHIPs! Great music intro. Great story lines. Eventually, Larry's departure took away the dynamics of the show's main characters chemistry. Hence, I stopped watching the show
Estrada seems to have serious ADDHD. He is bouncing all over the place. Or he is bored out of his mind.
