I've been very lucky to call Bob a friend since 1999 when I was a participant on the "DKF Return to the Fatherland '99" tour (driving nine US-owned pre-'57 Vintage VWs from L.A. across the USA to N.Y, then from London to Wolfsburg, Ger and then all the way back again!) which stopped at Bob's collection for a BBT open house and welcome party for our tour. Ever since then we've been great friends, have had a lot of fun together and quite a few adventures. During the last couple of Hessisch-Oldendorf and Bad Camberg weekends, I've been especially honored to be asked to be one of two guys asked to give private walking tours of the upper deck above the cars through the extensive private parts department and collection. Nothing horribly in depth, just quick walking tours to give people a mind-blowing look at all the goodies he has upstairs in the shelves and bins. It's non-stop talking work that day, but a lot of fun and it's very gratifying to see how grateful everybody is to get a look at his wonderful "inner sanctum" of vintage parts! Thanks again Bob for the privilege! I'm yours anytime! Bill B
WOW Darrin yes. Before i really knew who Bob was We had lunch with Bob and a few of the other guys around here. Was super special. Hoping we will do it again soon....This was before covid. IDK what is going to happen in the future. Omicron is not that bad but bad enough I know several guys who are sick for 2 weeks or more with it. Lets hope it does not start the travel bans again OMG.....This crap needs to STOP...
Hi, BBT, BOB🇧🇪.a great and outstanding VW Collection you have👍🏻, nice to see your VW Parts Shop. like seeing also the sales staff with Frederick van de Rooy👍🏻, who has done some research for my VW T3 Single Cab 1982 Model Last year. Thanks for sharing this with the VW community cheers🍷🇳🇴🇳🇱.Greetings.HCS Norway.
Impresionante colección es sorprendente ver tantos VW en un solo lugar y con tantas refacciones nuevas es algo excepcional gracias por estos fabulosos momentos saludos desde México.
IM PRETTY SURE.....MY BUCKET TRUCK was NOT inside that shop. Probably sitting outside for 15 years.....That explains the rust.....That is now GONE!!!!!
I was at his open house in ‘03(or ‘04) and it was not there, so he must have picked it up after that. I don’t think yours ever saw the inside of a building. Lol.
Fantastic footage, but PLEASE kill the music. I can barely make out a word between two accents, low recorded levels and the music. Thanks for recording it though.
I cant believe I got to spend a lunch with bob a few years ago before covid......It was really special. The laughter was Priceless.
So Many VW cars 🚗 and buses 🚌!
Can someone help me pick my jaw up off the floor!? Wow! Simply amazing.
Outstanding, so good to see the quality and he's kept at it for 35 years !

If I was filthy rich, I'd do the same.
That background music is really annoying. You can’t hear Bob talk.
