All the other sharks have given him this bad stigma of being mean or something just because they don't like him. Most of the time his deals are perfectly respectable and he actually tries to empathize with people, unlike Lori who just smiles and tells everyone how nice and popular she is.
This is going to go crazy on QVC and in those certain big box stores. Lori was the right partner

IIRC Mark is invested in a product called Instafire that is similar to this. The last time a similar portable campfire product came in, Mark douched hard and bashed it because of that. I don't know if they told Mark to stop, or if he realized it made him look bad, but Mark is curiously not shown talking much here and I don't think they even showed him going out.

A 75cent royalty is basically nothing. He makes it for $30 and sells it for $195, 75c is a rounding error on the sale price. It's just Lori for the extra 2.5%, but this really seems like a QVC-style product

This eliminates the best thing about a campfire: the wood and the amazing scent that comes with the smoke!
That royalty ask was negligible, glad he didn’t mess up the deal because of it. I think Lori added it just so there is some incentive for her to sell more. Selling 1,000,000 only gets her $750,000, big potatoes for us nothing potatoes for her.
Don’t forget she said it was only until she was paid back then it goes away anyway
@@jojoreisinger615 Yes I just realized I made an error. So it is even more profitable for him. He needs to sell 333,334 units for her to be repaid. That is 65 million dollars of sales if he just sold the small unit. I would of just given it to her in perpetuity, because after working so hard to get her money back she doesn’t have much incentive to sell more and I would want to keep her interested in still selling.
@@vc6478the value really isn’t in the royalty. She’s basically looking at it as almost a free 10% equity banking on it continuing to be successful.
@@nestosauce yes but only free equity if 65 million dollars approximately, since depends on size, of goods is sold. If that amount was sold they guy could care less about 12.5% equity. For Lori though, once she makes her money back she wont care because she would have the $250,000 from the royalty and if we value the company just as equal total sales (I know this is not right) then she would have stock worth $8,125,000. In perpetuity royalty or not it wont make a difference by then for him but maybe that tiny offer in favour of Lori would incentivize her more to help get the company further.

I own 33 of these Lava Boxes. I use them for EVERYTHING. They heat my car, provide all my home's internal and external lighting, and I use them to cook every single meal I eat.I haven't had an electric bill in over 20 years because of this product. However, my propane expenses are highly volatile.

The final choice was excellent. Simply because Josh spoke about the plan going forward about the business and only Lori seemed to be in the same page as Josh.
As a camper, I can tell this product is only good for newbie lazy "good weather" campers. It's a novelty item.
Really surprised that none of the sharks pointed out that you have to lug one or more propane tanks around, or asked about what was inside the canisters. They didn't ask how long a propane tank will last, at which settings, and for each size canister. They also didn't ask if there is any cleaning or maintenance required. Seems very shortsighted on their part.

He's smart... Lori is by far the best Shark on this program. She actually pays attention and helps these investments. She has the highest ROI. Mark is by far the worst and Mr. Wonderful is second worst and Daymond isn't that great if its not clothing and textile related. Good move.

He just needs marketing and exposure to ensure his expansions will be worthwhile and the other sharks were focusing on their personal life choices and social media where as Lori is gunna give him mass marketing and put him in stores. She was giving him what he wanted more then the 200k for 10% Kevin offered

It’s not a campfire it’s a grill. When I went camping we’d collect rocks place them in a circle, put sticks inside and light them with matches. If I’m going camping I’m hiking to where I wanna and I’m not gonna carry a propane tank with me.
