  • Happy Valentine's Day friends! Comment below how are you spending your day? This cake had me feeling proud when I was finished with it! 😱 I could not stop staring at the colours 😍😍😍 I absolutely love how bold the stripes turned out. I may have mentioned this before but I'm very into non-traditional colours for holidays and special occasions, so I added a teal blue in there to contrast the shades of pink! I also last minute went with a bright fuschia over red and I'm in love! My best tip when making striped cakes is to freeze your cake after combing the stripes in! This will prevent your stripes from smearing 😱 details below 👇🏼

    Hello-do place the cake in the fridge in between doing the second set of lines?

      @@TheFlourGirl ok great to know..because I have trouble with my lines bleeding on each other. Second question if you don’t mind: do you hear the comb when scrapping?

      @@michelleparrish6916 yes the bleeding is because the buttercream is too warm! And I don't think I even pay attention to what sound it makes 😋
