I love that!! So fun!! It's taking all my will not to just cast on and go. I really need to finish at least one of the other sweaters on the needles first, lol! ❤❤❤
Enjoyed knitting along with you on another rainy Sunday. I think your yellow pullover will be beautiful. Also the hand spun that you will knit the cowl with was very impressive. Congrats on your new electric car. LBoth my son in laws have Teslas and enjoy them. Just have to plan ahead for long trips and know where the charging stations will be, I think your car will tell you? Amazing. Remember when we had to rely on maps, can’t imagine how we managed to find anything!! 😮 Enjoy your podcast so much. Might get that bird app sounds fun.
Hi Shannon, for the checkerboard sweater check out James Watts penta pillar pullover. I tested it and made the checker version. It’s a modular construction and very fun to make.
Hi Shannon, it’s been awhile since I have watched an episode but I do want to say, I enjoy this laid back approach to sharing your cast on’s with us. I enjoy the chatty conversation about your life happenings. It was interesting to hear about your new vehicle. Your urban life is so different than where I live. I am surrounded by a valley of agriculture without shopping centers and city life. I wouldn’t get very far on a hundred miles but that is central CA for you. Lots of agriculture, dairies and very small towns. So I enjoy hearing all about your city life, apartment living and such. I live in a six bedroom home with a large front living room, dining room and family room. Yet I still feel like there aren’t enough closets or cupboards. Plus we have a three bay shop! Crazy right. Time to watch your next episode to see how your projects are coming along. 😊 StitchedbyMimi
Hi Shannon, I am just wrapping up my Traveler Hoodie. I'm so excited to wear it, I think I'll wear it a lot. Nice knitting together, see you next time.
I enjoyed knitting along with you again today! I especially liked hearing about your new car and hope you can continue to give us updates. I live in a mountainous rural area so electric car not practical .
Thanks for being my knit companion. I also print out patterns and would rather do top down sweaters. Also Congrats on the EV. I have had a Tesla since 2017 . I just love driving it. The minimum maintenance is a huge plus too. Enjoy!
@@whiskyandwool just FYI - keep in mind that cold weather will take a bite out of your battery mileage. I joined a local EV club and that has been really helpful- lots of tech people that understand EV nuances that I don’t.
I really enjoyed watching this video! Thank you for keeping me company while I worked on a sleeve. You are inspiring me to cast on a checked jumper pattern now :)
enjoying this time with you....knitting on my 24 birds shawl by Helen Stewart and like you change things up when you do not like something in this case the boarder
haha! Same with printing out the patterns and dislike the bottom ups. I'm working on two now.. but one I'm not enjoying haha. The Merlin Bird app is wonderful. Congrats on the new car! - Kimberly
Enjoyed your company while I knit a shawl they needs finishing before I cast on anything new. Not ready for a new car, but your info on the electric car process was very interesting. My first car was an Austin American and I would love to have a mini again. I live in EH by the beach, nice to know you get to enjoy this beautiful neck of the woods.
An electric mini - way to go! We just bought an electric car. Not a mini as the battery charge distance wasn’t long enough. I’m in Ontario and while availability of charging stations are better, they’re still so-so. And, couldn’t wait for the next mini model. What colour did you get? I always loved their volcanic orange which they no longer have. Your blue/white yarn might be great as another Scottish Check as it looks great.
Thank you!! I got an all black one. I could only choose between black or white as I had to take what the dealer had on the lot. I really love it! I'm adjusting to the charge thing, although I discovered a local DC charger and it only took about 20 mins to reach full charge. Very easy!! Yes, I think so, too, although now other viewers have suggested patterns to think about! ❤❤❤
Hi Shannon, I ❤ all the hip graphic patterns, I was inspired by the last Pom Pom magazine, check out the notebook sweater by Lene Rix, I want to make it in the same colours, I think it is beautiful!
Hi Shannon, I really like the swift you have. What brand is it? I am currently using 2 vases..haha! Congrats on your new car! That's a big step going fully electric. I'm in the market for a new car but I will be going hybrid.
Lacis Fixed peg table swift. I really love it! The arms slide to accommodate different size skeins. I've had it for years!! I used a chair back before I got it, lol! ❤❤❤
I do hope "they" make large advances in the range of electric vehicles... I need at least 5 times that range for me to even consider it because of where I live.
I don't lease so I don't really know the particulars when it comes to that but here in TN I have a hybrid and my state has decided that since I'm saving money on gas that I should pay and extra $100 dollars for car registration to make up for their tax loss. What I don't get is, if you want people to move to electric and hybrids why are you penalizing them for doing so.... ugh!
Oh no!! That's too bad. In NJ, there are incentives to switch. I saved 10k in the purchase price (State and Fed perks), and now with no oil changes, my maintenance has gone down substantially. It costs about $5 a month to drive vs $100. There's no extra tax! Thanks for sharing!! ❤️❤️❤️
This was fun Shannon! at some point last night i forgot you were not in my room!! can't wait to see the yellow sweater. that is going to be stunning.
I love that!! So fun!! It's taking all my will not to just cast on and go. I really need to finish at least one of the other sweaters on the needles first, lol! ❤❤❤
Thanks Shannon! Fun to knit along with you this morning! Have a great week
You, too, Beth!! ❤❤❤

Thank you!! Yes, I'm learning that finding fast chargers is key to making an efficient trip. Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️

Traveler cowl should be fabulous gift I might do that too
If I enjoy knitting it, you can bet you'll see many versions, lol!! ❤️❤️❤️
Congrats on the new car! I’m still with gas. Very small radius most of the time but still gas.
Thank you!! ❤
