Big hugs sweet friend. October was a 💩 month for you. Everything, all at once, all the time. You made it through. Loved our MKAL chats but it definitely ate into other plans. Maybe put it away for a bit and then decide what to do with it. It sucks to be disappointed bc it was a lot of stitches! I’d like a monochromatic one someday.

I’m listening to your story and I feel like my life is mirroring yours (well other than the students) but I am in month 4 of remodeling so there’s that. I have a beloved dog that all of a sudden was welping when we touched her and couldn’t walk wouldn’t eat or drink let alone get up. It was the scariest thing and same as you the vet no 1 basically charged us an absorbent fee handing us a box of medications with no diagnosis but only made her worse! We stopped meds and slowly nursed her back to health. She is still not herself but definitely better. So grateful.

Sorry to hear about your cat, I'm glad he's on the up and up! When you're all stressed out and the thing that's been bringing you joy turns out wrong in a way that wasn't in your control, it really feels terrible. Your shawl is still very pretty, but I'd be upset as well. Hope the next couple of weeks will be better♥️

Shannon you have a real talent for choosing color and I’m so sorry about your shawl. With that said, I think it is still gorgeous! So happy to hear your cat is feeling better. I work at a community college and feel your pain. We are also changing to a new software which is not going well to say the least. Burnout is real but thank goodness we have our knitting. 🧶

You should have tested the yarn for colorfastness before putting it into an entire project since you knew you were using hand died yarn. But it still looks nice, but I understand the frustration.

love the shawl ....knit it from deep stash. and handspun...stopped at the same point as you .... will do this one again as loved the process .... could easily turn it into a long scarf manipulating the sections

Hi Shannon: I wholeheartedly understand about your cat. My Yorkie was mauled by a German shepherd during a Sunday afternoon stroll in a wooded area 6 months and it broke us both but we both survived. And I agree about vets. It’s a business for some, sadly. Keep your Go Go dynamo. It’s beautiful. Love your color sense and thoughtful creativity. Sending you positive energy.

Aww Shannon, so sorry about your month. I've been thinking about you and watching for updates. We have worked with Blue Pearl, we saw their reviews but we had to go to their specialist, a cardiologist and he was wonderful. I'm sorry your experience was so awful. It's hard when we need to figure out what's happening with the babies. I feel you on the dye bleeding. It happened to my Pressed flowers cardigan, and I eventually had to let it go. I've not started a new one yet. Stay well, I hope November brings peaceful and healthy moments. Hugs, Kimberly

So glad you found a good vet. When I took my male cat to the vet, many moons ago, he told me that they can get a lot of their liquids they need from wet food. I love dogs and cats, but purring is the best!

I just watched another UA-camr who is knitting hers in a rainbow of colours too and is attempting to make a gradient with her contrast colours. Your and hers are both lovely. I have stash yarn perfect for the shawl, and I love how everyone's looks so far, but haven't cast on yet. I have too many things on my needles and shouldn't do it, but I'm so tempted. How long did it take you to do part one and part two? I'm wondering if a train ride and a wait for my brother to have 2 surgeries over 2 days, and a train ride home again would be enough time to make headway on it.
