    i’ve been vegan for 6, going on 7 years. let me tell you from experience. i travel to mexico a lot to where my parents are from and downloading the happy cow app was a GAME CHANGER. you simply chose the vegan tab and enter a city and it shows you (in yelp style layout) all the vegan restaurants to that area. i put in some cities from japan and i was blown away by all the options... i saw more on the list than i normally see in some bigger cities in the states. couldn’t recommend it enough.

This episode was forced as fuck an you can tell it was made for snowflakes like you so yall would stop filling 50 percent of the comments with "vegan food?" like a bunch of cave men that just discovered fire in the name of "vegan food". or the seguls from Nemo but instead of "hoi" they say "vegan food?"

      Also, 5 years being vegan in Japan and yes it implies lots of home cooking but if you can read Japanese there are actually quite a lot to find at the supermarket or in izakayas. I have no trouble eating anywhere besides specialized restaurant (ramen/monja/hot pot restaurant etc. Are difficult but you’d be surprise I eat quite well at yakiniku places!) also Tokyo is getting more and more friendly with at least vegetarians, we even finally have vegan menus at Tokyo Disney resort!
      But anyways if I had the time I would make a blog about living in Tokyo as a vegan but it’s kind of difficult at the time.
      (Also, if anyone reading this wants to experience an amazing Shojin Ryori/Buddhist cuisine vegan restaurant, please please go at “BON” close to Ueno. We celebrated my son’s omiyamairi (first visit to the temple, similar to a catholic baptism) and ate there with the whole family (Japanese and French side both reunited) and it was one of the best food experience we ever had even for the whole non-vegan family!

    Wow, the comments section is pretty hilarious. I'm just like why are people getting so offended over what someone else eats, if you wanna eat meat, eat it same for the vegetarians. Besides, vegan food looks pretty good so I don't know what y'all be complaining about.

    It’s interesting to see how many people in the comments are actually complaining (or joking) about you never making a vegan or vegetarian video again, when you’ve given them so much meat and the vegans/vegetarians nothing.
    Meanwhile, I’ve barely ever come across the vegans/vegetarians complaining in your meat videos. It was my understanding that you did this because you were sensitive to your vegan/vegetarian viewers, which is nice. It’s nice not to be selfish.
    By the way, I’m an omnivore, so I’m not even speaking out of any kind of personal hurt. It’s just interesting to see the difference.

      It's an exercise in futility. If someone can't even go ONE MEAL without meat, then it's a lost cause. I wan't expecting a full conversion. Just ONE MEAL with some positivity, respect, and open mindedness. I guess that's too much to ask.

      Didnt see one comments like that yet, think im at the 15th root comments? Maybe you are looking for these. I see some "jokes" but they are light and caused by Chris himself starting the joke

    • @LePetitNuageGris
      @LePetitNuageGris 6 років тому +12

      Colonel Gayfur I can see why you would think that, but there are 2 things to consider: First, my comment came at about 2 hours after this was uploaded. I’m sure many people have commented since then, burying the comments I was talking about. But I remember what I saw. I’m not saying every comment was like that, or even the majority. I was making a comparison (a subjective one since I can only go based on my own experience) between the 0 comments I’ve seen complaining about an abundance of meat on meat videos versus the at least 7-10 comments I saw that were kind of rude towards vegans/vegetarians, or at least joking about how a veggie video should never be done again.
      The second factor to consider is that, as I stated, I am an omnivore. I have no reason to exclusively look for those types of comments since they offend me in no way. I was merely reading through the comments section, as I always do, to see what people were saying (looking for jokes or just interesting feedback people have is something I do on all videos I watch). That was the circumstance under which I saw those comments. I wasn’t looking for negativity, but when I found it I was a little bit intrigued and surprised by the amount I found (which, again, wasn’t like hundreds of comments, but perhaps 7-10).
      Hopefully that clears things up for you. Like I said, I just found it interesting.

      Yeah, veganism and vegetarianism are pretty much just social trends, or personality accessories, anyway. The only reason for their being is because some people are extremely sensitive to the reality of organisms consuming other organisms and how it can be a bit harsh to witness when you've never witnessed it before. That and it can make you appear virtuous and noble when you wear them as titles or badges of honor to be displayed to others. I mean, it's a free world and people can do as they please, I don't care. But, a balanced diet of meats, vegetables, and some kind of clean carbohydrate(whether a starch or other vegetables that contain lots of it) is pretty much the gold standard. *shrugs*
