@Suction All those years ago, yea, I did it, messed it up more, refurbed it, bought a black one and mega sized it with a 66cc, then traded in for a beat up red stingray, chopped it, extended it, and turned it basically into a motorcycle with a Predator 212 on it. It's sweet.
I have built two of theses choppers..currently working on another at the moment...my current is a reverse head 100cc..with a 36 tooth sprocket..I found the best way to do the chain adjustment is to have the adjustment sprocket guide the chain over the rear brake cables and brake arms...
I just bought a kit that fits mine perfectly. You don't need to destroy your bike or mod it any further to accommodate for anything.. doing so may risk structural integrity of the frame over time.
I'm an old fart, and when they first brought these out, I knew I had to do just exactly this. It took me until three weeks ago to find one in NEW condition I could afford, @ $200. The 82nd Airborne 2 stroke V-Twin Generator motor I had planned to use had been stolen, so I may just grab something off the rototiller and let fly.
what the hell thats a crazy motor im just a kid tho man thats cool ima get one of there and get it fixed up guess the design held up all these years bc its pretty damn cool But you were gone put a 1000 dollar engine on a 200$ bike ??? why
@@Goblingimp Well, I got the motor when someone moved out and gave away a bunch of stuff he no longer wanted. I don't suppose it cost $1,000, but I wanted to use it because it was very light. Made for being tossed out of airplanes and carried through jungles to power radios etc. Since it was also a V Twin, it would have looked nice with a small sportster tank.
You can use some Shoe-Goo you can get at Walmart where the shoes are that will hold the tank on without bolting it on just fine, tape it down with blue paint tape overnight while it dries, so you can get the tank out of the way of the seat. -marc27
The motor mount is necessary to mount the motor. The frame is too large to allow the motor to mount directly to the frame. Go See HappyFeet on Ebay to purchase.
The frame on the chopper bicycles are stretched too far apart between the front support bar and seat post bar... you have to have or build a modified motor mount for the chopper frame...they can be easily found on eBay or Amazon..they make two different styles...either one is fine.. one mount is a two plate design that is squeezed together like a sandwich on the lower cross member bar and the other design is basic two extended engine mount clamps that can extend long enough to reach the front support bar to the front of engine and another extend engine mount clamp that extends long enough to reach rear of engine to the seat post bar....got to remember that the chopper frame is stretched frame compared to your common mountain bike....

Ed Ringle to many different sizes lol..i don't know what to pick. what size is that on your bike, that is exactly what i am looking for, and thanks a lot for your reply.
Mines way better. Didnt have to cut or bend or accomodate. Anything on the actual bike. 10 dollars worth of aluminum does not warrant to drill into a bicycle.
Mines way better than yours, you have the head facing the wrong way. You have chain tensioner in wrong place. No vision. My sprocket way better, my chain tensioner is made of metal. My engine is 4 times better. My handle bars are off bmx classic.
It's funny. I built my first electric bike on a Banshee Scratch frame. Then suddenly one day I said to myself. I should try putting a 100cc together. And that's when my tinkering began.
As cool as I think these are I don't think they are safe to ride in traffic. It's bad enough riding a regular bicycle/ebike/gas bike but one that looks like a motorcycle is going to confuse the already confused cagers. In other words better to have them thinking a bicycle is going fast rather than a motorcycle is going slow. Just my opinion but it's dangerous out there.
Fuck that. 350 is an insult. I'll offer you 351. Go ahead and pretend that you need to think about it and then hit me up, lol. Seriously though, nice bike, my friend. I'm about to do one myself. Is it a difficult build out?
If you do one of these CORRECTLY, you DON'T have to bend metal, or shave the hub, or shave the fender, you also don't gotta drill holes into the frame or even use a chain pully i know i make these non stop they have 80$ engine mounts to mount these perfectly with alan bolts , using the CORRECT amount of links and half links you have the perfect chain tension then just pull the brake arm up a little bit using a extra washer and instead of filling the hub take the SPROCKET to a hardware store and have them make the same size hole ABOVE the included holes then connect the holes so it's a long gated hole OR get a sprockt adapter so it turns by the axle and not by the spokes
Ed I recently picked up a 1977 Batavus HS50. I noticed the one you restored on one of the Moped sites. What paint color or paint code and type of paint did you use to restore it?
@@jasondankenbring1710 little projects can add up in cost pretty fast. And the time involved in driving around getting materials, and figuring out how to make it all work together. 350 is a definitely insulting.

I am here because I am also at Ebay, and as I could already tell by looking at it, that 'Motor' Mount Kit is not at the correct angle for the engine. You want the gasoline going into the engine, that is the point of having them tilted forward, have fun pushing it up hills, which is kind of the point of having a bike with an engine in it in the first place. Motors are electric, by the way and have no 'working' parts. -marc27
Can't wait to get my Green OCC Stingray fixed, then I'ma invest into a motor for it. Gonna be SO sick.

rubber on the motor mount. Good job! that chain tensioner has got to go bro.
very cool Bike!

Could give us a link to the mount

Can anyone tell me what brand of tires those are?
Is that a 80 cc 4 stroke or 2 stroke motor
