The mother-son relationship between Elsie and Dennis is so perfectly written and acted, so pitch perfect, that it breaks my heart. thanks a million for sharing these, Auntie Corrie! xxx
Comedy gold - a lovely episode - hilarious Denis awaking Elsie, and the bride to be opining on non stick pans. Linda channelling her inner Linda Thornson. A sexy Geoffrey Palmer marrying them and some lovely moments between Elsie and Denis, truly a really great episode.
We are very lucky to have these episodes courtesy of Aunt Corrie! The rest are just not available anywhere, not even if you wanted to pay any price. The only episodes available, if u can even find them, are 8 episodes per each year via the boxed sets put out by Granada. If there are more here per year it's from the very hard work getting copies that people may have lying around somewhere. So if you want to kind of keep up with the between episodes you can take a look at the Coronation Street Wiki from Fandom! The site has a great search engine so u can find details about new people and unexpected situations as you watch the available episodes!
@@SUPER_WOLFMOON Personally I'm extremely grateful to have what we've got, so many great memories and when I've finished watching them, I'll go back to the very begining again. I was five when Coronation Street started in 1960; it doesn't just bring back to me the program, it brings back to living at home and growing up. Lots of lovely memories. Also if I can find Crossroads, with all the bad acting and studio walls almost collapsing, I'd watch that too. God bless you Auntie Corrie 2. xxx
I did not think the commenter was ungrateful for the episodes that are posted. Just the opposite actually, they are enjoying them so much that they wish they could see them all. Saying you wish there were more of something doesn’t mean you are ungrateful for what you have. No need to virtue signal and finger wag at someone because they expressed the same wish we all have.
When I saw the registrar I thought, oh no, I hope there wasn't *a cock up with the catering* or anything! (*courtesy of Reginald Perrin's long suffering brother-in-law.) -The Fall & Rise of Reginald Perrin-
Also John Sharp ( who may not be as famous, but I know he played Farmer Biggins “It’ll cost me, won’t it, Veterinary. I’m not a rich man, tha’ knows...”. in ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. In this he’s Les Clegg.
Originally Dennis was suppose to be the "bad boy" of *Coronation Street* in contrast to Ken Barlow who was the "good boy" and that's how he comes off in the very early episodes. However over time, Phillip Lowrie started putting a much lighter and comedic edge to Dennis Tanner and the writers began changing him as a result. Lowrie stated in an interview that it gave the character more dimension and longevity than just being a standard troublemaker.
@@carolineg1872 - But he did clock up a run of seven and half years before leaving the series in 1968. I somehow doubt the "bad boy" version of the character would have lasted that long.

You've got to love Dennis.
I’ve always thought Dennis was adorable.

It's Geoffrey Palmer !!!!!!!!
If you hadn't mentioned him, I proberly wouldn't have recognised him, except for his voice.
Also John Sharp ( who may not be as famous, but I know he played Farmer Biggins “It’ll cost me, won’t it, Veterinary. I’m not a rich man, tha’ knows...”. in ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. In this he’s Les Clegg.
His hound dog face is unmistakable 😁
R.I.P Was great in everything he did.. Reginald Perrin, Butterflies..
I'm not sure why I'm here but I'll stay
Looks like Ken comb his hair different in this episode.
@Coronation Street Storyline Peter Susan ok
Why didn't Jenny go to Bristol with Dennis?
Jerry's speech was a bit melancholy. 😳
It was a real shocker. If I was the bride I'd be furious with him
At 14:27 that is Geoffrey Palmer. He was in Doctor Who and the Silurians and Angels as Nurse Rutherford father.
And yes minister if I'm not wrong
And Butterflies and loads more
The night United won the European Cup against Benfica.
Her sons very camp. Was this meant to be or is it accidental.

@@woohooboy And yet he left and didn't return until 40 years later.
I think he was a good actor. Why did he leave?
@@geenasmith7209 He was frustrated as to how his character was developing and decided not to renew.

and to think Elsie's house was full of hippies (incl Jenny's sister) while she was away in America ! . . .
maisonettes (and new outdoor street set) - Cleggs (Maggie Gordon and Les) turfed Emily from the shop flat to the Rovers . . .
A great series, the closed captioned phrases however are terrible! They are not even close!
