Hi Tim.Greetings from a very wet Cornwall, U.K. Back in the 90s I wax oiled as I went on with the running restoration of my 1961 2 door saloon moggy. All I can say is that is worked !!!!!I used to go over the wheel arches even spring time.Seeing your videos brings back happy memories of hours of fettling .Thanks for the great content
This is super helpful! Thank you, Tim! I love the idea of using the phone endoscope, I immediately went to eBay looking for one myself.
You are welcome; good luck with your project
Good to see you posting up a video 👍
Thanks! Its slowly getting there...
Awesome Tim great to see another video. English cars and rust go hand in hand.
Too right! Many thanks
Excellent video, most helpful and thanks a lot. I'm collecting my very first moggie tomorrow ( 26 Feb ) and its a 1967 2dr saloon. It's light blue. Thanks again, Colin UK 🇬🇧
Good luck! I envy you acquiring a driving one; I am hoping to drive mine for the first time this year (maybe)...
@@goingundersground Hi, Tim. I've just collected my moggie. I'm delighted with it. It's gone straight to the garage for a service, brake and steering checks / repairs and new spring hangar mounts at the back. Thanks again for the videos.
Nice colour
Thank you! Cheers!
good job
Thank you
Hi Tim, nice work.
Is that Sage green?
It is indeed! The bodyshop matched the colour from the inside of one of the glovebox lids. I think its pretty close?
@@goingundersground I couldn't say, I've only seen one picture of Sage other than yours. I considered using it on my 53, instead of the multi layered non descript dark green I currently have flaking off, and to be different from all the Almonds out there.
It might also better match the light blue seats the previous owner fitted.
Hi Tim, can you tell me what are your wheels from? Thanks
I actually don't know - they were on the car when I bought it. They are 13 inch ones, probably from a Sprite or Midget I think.
The moggies go really well if you widen the wheel rims & put an inch & a half in then replace all the tyres with radials giving you more rubber on the road ! Changing the diameter alters the speedo readings unless you pay to have it recalibrated which can add costs to the rebuild!
