It’s a cracking little knife, I’m glad you’re enjoying it!

The Izula is 4mm thick without coating and 4,2 with coating, that’s why the sheath is rattling like crazy if you remove the coating.

Interesting that you favor the Esee knives so much, what do you prefer about them compared to Mora’s or any other scandi blades?

I use Scandi ground blades predominantly for general bushcraft. There’s nothing wrong with a Mora, they make great knives. ESEE have a fantastic no quibble guarantee and are just simple and fantastic knives. They’re easy to maintain in the field and are pretty bomb-proof. I favour the ESEEs for videos as they’re a popular brand, and I get a lot more views on my ESEE videos than anything else.
To be honest, the hands holding the knife are much more important than the brand or the steel used. Any model or brand will have strengths and weaknesses, the important thing is to put in the hours with your knife of choice, and it’ll serve you well.

    Hi mate,
I keep the coating on mine it's just personal preference really. The injection moulded sheaths I dont mind pretty robust.
1095 is good for sharpening in the field etc, I just strop mine after use.
    Good video mate
    Stay safe ATB Del 👍🔥🐺

Prepper Del Survivalist , Cheers For the comment Del. Keeping the coating is definitely more practical, it’s purely an aesthetic choice for me as I feel the coatings make them look a bit too tactical for my tastes. I’ve always been happy with the injection moulded sheaths myself, they’re extremely practical in my opinion.
