The World Mission Society Church Of God. is a South Korean based cult group that makes great boasts about being the “one true church” who alone has the truth of God and can teach the right way of salvation. Not very surprisingly, this is nearly the exact same claim that basically every other Christian-based cult makes. The WMSCOG asserts that their deceased leader “Ahnsahnghong” is the second coming of Christ in the flesh who restored the way to eternal life through the Passover. Another central doctrine for them is their doctrine about “God the Mother.” They believe that a South Korean, elderly woman named Zhang Gil Jah is a second female deity who they refer to as Mother God or Jerusalem Mother. According to WMSCOG doctrine, one must have faith in Mother God in order to be saved. With a little critical thinking, analyzing of the WMSCOG doctrines, and an honest and responsible examination of the biblical text, it can be decisively shown that the WMSCOG is nothing more than a high-control, high-demand cult group that will likely only bring you and your family emotional, spiritual, relational and financial pain and devastation.

Around 1:40 she describes a scenario that seems to happen often (I'm a former member just shy of 10 years, I went about part time similar to Katie and I could see alot of the things she saw). PArt of the allure is that we teach from the Bible (with hopping around) and you're told the premise is because "we show you the Old Testament with the Law, and how Christ fulfilled it in the New) but as she said it's out of context (which you're taught is because the Bible is written in a "code" and you need to know "the key" which of course WMSCOG has), and then the Church makes the jump from the Bible verses to the books (that build off the studies, and then combine that with all the activities and commitments you never have a chance really to sit down and catch your breath outside and see through what's possibly behind the curtain.
Love these interviews as I continue my journey of piecing together how the WMSCOG pulls people in (and tries to keep you in).

Cults always claim to know a 'secret' or a 'code' other mainstream churches are not privy to. This is one way to hook an unsuspecting person: the person is now in a privileged state of knowing something others don't know. Hence he or she goes round asking 'have you heard of mother god'?
And yes, you are right: they jump about verses in the bible cobbling together a false and un-biblical support for their heretical beliefs like Jesus re-incarnated through earthly parents. What blasphemy.
Unfortunately, many unsuspecting people fall for their twisted reasoning and lies wasting their lives/time praying and believing a counterfeit christ and his supposedly wife.
WMSCOG secrets:
1. Christ Ahn comes in secret as Elijah. And the God that gives our life is only heavenly mother.
2. In heaven father got angry at us because we sinned against heavenly mother. Father wanted to destroy us but it was mother that saved us so the reality of the Passover and the most holy place is heavenly mother.
3. In revelations 19:16 the WMSCOG claims it is referring to heavenly mother not Jesus Christ.
4. WMSCOG dislikes it when you help the poor or elderly in secret but they love it when the WMSCOG has banners, cameras and record videos helping.

When I left the church because something felt off about praying to father “asahong” and they believe Jesus came back already. I have find myself to escape. CAN we please talk about how they make you sign your name in a book of “life” . And how they force baptism. Also was it just me or did anyone’s life go down heel after leaving the church I felt like the enemy intentionally and specifically attacked me. I heard some reviews of it saying if you leave the church you’ll have bad luck is this true?
There is no bad luck. But there is attacks of the enemy. Pray and fast over yourself, your family and your home. Greater is he that is in you than he who is in the world.
its not bad luck ,you are just lost .what great light studios dont tell you is how to live your life ,remember everyhting has changed ;you dont keep the sabbath day ,what do you do when its saturday?do you just forget that the sabbath is saturday and you see people keeping sunday worship ,do you think its right for them?anyway it feels good at first but eventually it catches up to you ,especially on days like saturday ,sunday ,easter ,christmas etc cuz you've been taught what they mean .DONT FOFRGET ABOUT THE POPE ,DO YOU KNOW WHO THE POPE IS?DOES GREAT LIGHT STUDIOS KNOW WHO THE POPE IS ? It's not bad luck, but there is a feeling like you've lost something, and I think that's what you may be experiencing. You start falling back into your old lifestyle because you don't know what else to do. You don't know who to pray to anymore, and it's hard to even open the Bible without thinking of the false teachings. These are things that will take time to recover from, but just remember there is always comfort in the Holy Spirit (Jesus Christ). And yes, they force baptism on you in order to join the church, and they make you sign your name in the "book of life" so they have some kind of record of you...but the Bible never says you have to be baptized for your salvation. You just need to believe in Who God sent (Jesus Christ) and love one another as Jesus loved us. Accept Jesus into your heart and life to help you through everything you don't think you can handle (which, we really can't do much with our own power), and you'll be saved. There's no forced baptism you need to do, there's no signature needed, no NDAs, etc. Praying for you!

I pray that the Holy Spirit will protect you from the attacks of evil spirits (wmscog). May you find rest in the loving arms of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Ask Him to shepherd you what to do next or where to go.
(By the way, the baptism in the alien name Ahnsanghong is an invalid one. The only valid baptism is the one with water in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Only this baptism is valid because it recognizes the Holy Trinity - ie the God thrice holy. Peace and blessings to you.)

The true Church according to the bible (and not "according to prophecy" for there is none) is the Church Christ founded on Pentecost Sunday. And it is still around. Has been so for 2024 years and counting...
So look for that Church. It is obviously very old (ie it traces its roots all the way back to the time of the apostles. In an _unbroken_ line of succession to present times). Most denominations eg Lutheran church, started about 600 years ago or in the case of wmscog, about 60 yrs ago. These are founded by men.
Go to the source - the spring as it were - if you want to drink unpolluted water (doctrine/teachings). That's the true Church. That's the Church Jesus founded.

I will admit I'm not the brightest bulb on the string but...
I was not born again until I was 46 so I was a pagan (sort of) for 25 or 26 years of my life. I was raised in the RCC but left that cult when a priest told one of my shipmates that creation is a good fairytale.
I've been round the globe a couple times and have been exposed to many religions but I did not go in blindly. I was searching but, even I a goofball, could recognize a bad deal. That so many people fall into this is very interesting.
Don't rely on one sided story too much, otherwise you only missed the truth.
I joined the church about two years ago and then decided to stop going after learning more about their teachings? Do I have to do anything else in order remove myself from the church? I want to know what’s the right way to leave the church

@@kiranrampersaud7459 Nope...you just stop going and communicating with those in the church. There's no "formal" way of leaving. joining a different church, though, I honestly don't know how it works. I don't attend church in person anymore because the only church I've found that teaches from the Bible is a church about 3 hours from me, but they stream their services on youtube. Haha Some churches might require some kind of formality to join similar to that of the WMSCOG, but I can't say for sure. I hope this helps, and I'm happy to hear you got out of the WMSCOG ❤

I support vets. It sickens me that they don't do charities for them.
My grandfather was a Chief of Navy Seal Team 2 during the Vietnam war. Not once in my life did I ever imagine veterans going through homelessness or anything of the like because I was brought up knowing how important the military members are to us and this country. It amazes me that more isn't done to help them after they leave the military for whatever reason. My grandfather founded a museum in Florida that helps give back to veterans, and he did a lot in general to help give back. I could not accept they wouldn't "allow" me to do anything for the food drive...and I'm not sorry at all to this day for going against what they said.

If you are struggling, there are mental health professionals who focus on spiritual trauma. There's no shortage of churches that use coercive practices to get you to worship people...

Have you ever read the original version of the Green book chapter 36 entitled God with send Elijah? Ahnsahnghong wrote that the last Elijah would ascend to heaven alive. Why do you think the WMS removed that chapter?

What is the Biblical purpose of baptism?
Whats so creepy about wmscog is they will still say "we love you, we dont want you to leave us," when they actually want you to leave. Its a korean way of indirectly banning members.
Even in first coming Jesus time people walked away and only God Elohim knows where there souls are!
No such thing as "First Coming Jesus". Jesus is a proper name, so the correct reference is "the first coming of Jesus".
The word "Jesus" is not an empty container used to fill in anyone you want.
This is a slight-of-hand by Joo Cheol-Kim in order to insert different persons into the coming of Christ. People don't pick up on this sneaky trick.
