The Spanish go out to bars quite late at around midnight hence why they are empty at 11pm. Hope you enjoyed your time here!
Younger people in the States also tend to go out partying later (not going out to eat dinner late which I hear that they do in Spain).
At 11 PM, Spaniards are just having dinner.
Gay bars in Marbella: two open at 10pm, third at 11pm All three close between 4 and 6:00 a.m. it was Generalissimo Franco that put Spain on CET when it should be in the same time zone as Portugal and Britain. Your body clock takes more time to adjust than a long weekend permits with midday Siesta.

I don't know what you guys are doing, whether it's your vacations, workouts or getaways, but you and Keegan look so fit ,trim, handsome and relaxed! Love the tour of Marbella and thank you for taking us to this piece of paradise!
Estepona, to the south, is really even nicer and more authentically Spain--fewer Brits, more of a mixed international crowd.
Any reasonable, sentient person who looks at Spain, comes to Spain, eats in Spain, drinks in Spain, they're going to fall in love...
Whenever Keegan comes back on screen I always seem to think man this guy is so handsome, and this video is no exception! I don't know what routine he has going on but he has been glowing and glowing and so has you Joel every time I see you two together. Lovely video as always 😊

One of the FIRST things I do at a hotel is make acquaintance with a housekeeper. They won't come in your room and I have found they are more than willing to give you things off their carts! Shampoo, soap, toilet paper...whatever you need!!

Pick something you can't do at home. You can get coffee and work out at home. Get in the sea or take the ferry! How can you look at the water and not get in?!

Sounds like you had such a nice day exploring the city. I love exploring new places but I agree it can be pretty overwhelming when you are trying to decide what to do. It sounded so peaceful when you were just sitting by the ocean and eating breakfast listening to the waves. I’ve never been to Spain, but Marbeya sounds beautiful and now I really want to go there someday. ☺️❤️

I prefer to not have cleaning in my room anyway. Getting a drink voucher would just be a bonus for declining a service I didn’t want anyway!
It depends how long you stay in the hotel. If for more than a weekend - do you need the room done everyday?
I don't want strangers in my room. It feels like I have to pack and lock every time I step out. Very annoying. They're only there for a long weekend.

Thanks for sharing your trip. I was in Marbella over 10 yrs ago for a friend’s birthday. We went to the same area of Puerto Banos with all the restaurants and cafes lining the waterfront opposite all the yachts. Great people watching. I remember there was the Picasso museum close by.👍🙏😎

I hope you guys can go back sooner than later and meet up with Diane for more of a fun visit than a working one. You aren’t alone hesitating to do things. You are extremely extroverted compared to me. I’m bad about going out where I live never mind in another country. I would probably hide in the hotel the whole time. I haven’t left my house in about 3 weeks 🫥
Neither of you are alone. I could really relate to that feeling as well. Maybe there are just too many options! Nothing wrong with staying home either, though.

Enjoying your videos, have seen two or three: one about the little cabin in the woods sans cellphones (mobiles?), and a couple of the Marbella episodes. You and your friend seem very sincere and authentic, that is awsome. Advice from an older (still out there, still trucking) gentleman: 1) Rethink how much you express your deeper emotional and psychological concerns, issues, foibles--you might regret, 10 or 20 years down the road, having putting that much of yourself out there to the general public. 2) Spend more time in Andalucia; up the coast toward Malaga is Torremolinos and famous beaches and bars, a cultural center. South is Estepona and excellent nightlife and friendly beaches. Anywhere along this coast, my experience is people eat out until ll:00 or ll:30, and the clubs and bars only get lively after midnight! I wish I were your age and able to be out and about in this region as a young man, totally envious. Enjoy, sorry you missed the scene in Marbella.
Also, can you mike Keegan better? His accent for us Yanks is very difficult to understand and his voice tone is softer and rather muffled most of the time. At least you have subtitles, because I really understand only about 10% of what Keegan says, unless I look at the subtitles.
You need to travel to south asia. Thai beach massages are great.
I had the same idea about moving to a different city. I thought I'm going to move to Barcelona for a year maybe two. That was 17 years ago and I'm still here! The price of the coffee and pastry is normal here, way better than Starbucks.
The gay bars do start to get busy till at least midnight. Maybe that particular one was not very popular?

I did a little Google maps snooping for you. Calle Pepe Carleton is the name of the street you were on. The building you admired is called the Itsaso building, and it is 5 properties, 4 flats and a penthouse. Looks like it is managed by Nevado Realty there in Marbella. Looks like they were selling the penthouse November 2022.
Possibly guys cruise in the toilets there or a beach there always a few cruising areas in every city

11pm is way early for Spain's going out standards. And not too far from Marbella there is Torremolinos, which is sort of a gay mecca

I am autistic and find it overwhelming and frustrating, but when it’s a different climate
A lot of British people have moved full time to Costa del Sol. 31C? That is our over night low in July with 42C day time highs. I think that in many places, especially more progressive places, is that gay bars seem to be dying out as many of us feel safe to go to a regular place. My experience in the past is that gay bars were pretty seedy, run down dumps because the owners knew that the patrons had few alternatives. Not to mention the smoking and that I personally prefer not to drink. Would much rather have a small gathering of friends over. Resort towns tend to have off nights with gay bars and you may have hit it on an off night.

All the gay people are in Torremolinos. A town located 30 min driving from Marbella

Looks like you had a great time... you made me laugh complaining about 31 deg we had it up to 40 deg last week.. that was a tad warm lol... but shame on you leaving the aircon on in the apartment.. not very eco friendly, the units are pretty good and only take a few minutes to bring the temperature down.
Well the Gay scene is here in Torremolinos along the coast again the bars don´t get busy until around midnight... so basically I head out at midnight and roll home somewhere between 5-6 am lol
Enjoyed the video don´t really get out off Torremolinos much but if you are here on holiday there are some pretty cool places to visit around Malaga area.
