The straight pipe nearly ripped my ears out😮💨 to much crackling and popping though the Borla sounds deeper
Why didn’t he run open manifolds. It’s legal in 53 states and according to the Minecraft wiki they can gain 52-94hp.

The Ram with a 5.7 hemi actually sounds good without mufflers but in this case he messed it up when he went with such a small diameter exhaust tubing with no crossover pipe. It sounds like a hot mess. It is loud but it's raspy and clapping not to mention it sounds like the timing chain jumped a tooth or two with all that popping and backfiring. Maybe that is why that Check Engine light is on. It makes about 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque stock which means that it is now making less. I had to laugh when he said that the system they took off was "restrictive." I will have to go with the Borla exhaust hands down. It sounds better and it makes more power and torque.
P.S. The color of the second Ram is Copperhead Pearlcoat.

Yeah agree its too raspy. I did true-dual on mine but did 2.75” I believe and added an x-pipe… sounds A LOT better

I e done borla and straight pipe, the straight pipe sucked bad especially at wot. Cold starts wake my neighbors so I ended up with borla. Sounds way better than flow master and magnaflow
Oh, what the hell. You can barely hear these trucks and still way too quiet. Both sound close to a stock Nissan Sentra. Owners should have just run open manifolds, which is hands down the best setup and provides gains of 52-94hp and increased handling on these RAM 5.7l 1500's.

I had true duals on my 17 ram 1500 I couldn’t handle the drone. I had to open my back window to help with the noise. Then I put a borla proXS dual in dual out and it sounds a lot better
Does the true dual mess with warrantee at all? Or mess with the check engine light? Right now I have muffler and resonator delete and I love it, but I want it louder
can the borla atak fit on a 2012 ram 1500? im pretty sure they make them specifically for the 2019-2023 years, but could it fit on a 2012?

A lot of people tend to think that 2 inch is so so small but remember its essentially like a single exhaust 4 cylinder engine so one 2 inch for each side. it’s good for like 300 horse when talking duals. I agree it’s small for that hemi with all the horsepower that makes 2 1/4 would have been the best bet. But sure sounded good! Than again I’m kinda a lover of the loud the smaller pipe gives I have a 90s body chevy loud as hell sounds awesome I think! Everybody likes different setups if we all the same be boring.

I’m torn between the S-type and the ATAK for my Ram. Right now I have a Super 10 with stock resonators on. I’m afraid the S type will be quiet. And also afraid the ATAK will be louder than what I have now.
Can anyone compare the 2 Borla exhausts to what I have now? In terms of loudness
maybe try the atak or xr1 and keep the resonator
The atak is really not loud at all until you get on it, that's when it screams. Have it on my 5.0 f150 and love it
@@matthewshelton3606 I see the sound decibel at the rev is like 106-107 which is like my super ten. I assume start up, and nailing it will be just as loud, but quieter at idle? I’m only doing this because passengers say the drone in my truck is unbearable. I don’t even notice anymore.
if you get the atak btw I have the atak. it's loud doesn't drone and sounds sporty. to me it was to clean so I straight piped the cat atak catback and true dualed it. it came with a y pipe. it's the borla touring that's actually the to quiet one for the catback price tbh. it's the smaller the pipes the louder it is. you could always get electronic valves to make sure it's how you want

That straight piped Ram owner made a great choice. Especially true duals. I hate how the factory makes these Rams two cats that Y’s into a single. It should be factory True Dual.

As it was mentioned the owner lives in a high country area. And if it was me I’d probably put 2 MagnaPacks with the same true dual system but I’d go 2 1/2 inch or 3 inch and the same 5 inch tips. But hey to each their own.
