It was recorded in one take, played on a Gibson ES-335 through at Kemper Profiler and sung into a Neumann microphone through a Focusrite ISA One preamp. Of all the songs I've written this one is perhaps the most special to me and I knew from the start that I wanted to include it in my short series of Valentine's Day songs. I feel it is romantic, heartfelt and passionate, and for me encapsulates what I'd want to hear from a beloved.
