Only those who are sucked in by the hoax. The FACT is that a small fraction of ONE PERCENT of the people visiting national parks go missing and most of them, or their remains, are found. ANY organization that involves any kind of danger would be thrilled to have that kind of safety record.

Maybe you haven't been in the vast wilderness, you had better know what you are doing, it is easy to get lost and die. I see most of these missing guys are very young, in that range of "I am invincible" I have to admit to that myself, but got lucky not to die. I eventually learned to be very well prepared.

Still though you should not be uninformed. People die by gps ie signal failure and not laminated paper map or compas or ability to navigate by stars. As well, a 3 layer bag in winter, fire, water, water purification system, firearm to harvest small game and you could live for years in a national forest ie especially with a phone and cc to occadionally leave.
But you cant get lost and this requires a laminated topo map and compass. You should have more than one. You should memorize map as well. You should have tools to make a compass. Etc

This is what I'm thinking will help to prevent Missing 411 people / cases in the USA (other countries need to adopt this to suit them):
    - Have each person above an early age mandated to rent (or have one of their own) a GPS locating device when they enter a park. Not only the kind that works when they press a button, but also where the National Park Service can find it using a "where is" signal. Ideally it also should be waterproof and have a camera built-in.... where using the camera will trigger the device on.
    - The device should be required to have, with a $100 - $200 deposit... money returned upon exit... and should be trackable everywhere.
    - This should reduce Missing person cases in our parks to almost 0... thereby virtually eliminating the need for extended searches.
    - It may be expensive... but how much is a Search and Rescue attempt with 20 or more individuals, helicopters, and drones? That can't be cheap. The devices in this way will pay for themselves.

You're assuming that the parks, meaning the high ups running these parks, aren't involved in any of these cases. I think they very well could be! Why else would they keep telling people that are requesting info that they don't keep lists, or that they can't see any related paperwork or that it's going to cost anywhere from tens of thousands-to millions to see it??? Sounds like a HUGE COVERUP to me!!!

When i was 8 i had an experience i can't explain. Long story short (as short as i can make it anyway) "something," posing as my best friend, I believe, saved my life. Our neighborhood (dead end street) abutted acres and acres of conservation land all around it and there was one far field we would sneak into through a hole in a fence in our neighbors back yard. We'd done this multiple times with no issue however on this occasion we came through the fence and it's like we were in a different world. Oddly, it matched a dream i had of two men in the same field the night before. These men weren't quite human and one had what looked like an arrow quiver on his back but contained objects i couldn't identify. Anyway, as soon as we pop out, and I'm leaving out a lot of detail for the sake of not typing forever, my "best friend" says "no good, we can't stay here." Despite seeing nothing strange and definitely not seeing the two men in my dream, I was absolutely paralyzed by fear the moment I saw the empty field from my dream where the two men were the night before. In my dream I didn't totally recognize it because it looked so different than I was accustomed to but it was unmistakable upon seeing it. Anyway, I was utterly confused why he said we couldn't stay there but i didn't care either i was so glad we were leaving i tried to climb over the fence, which wasn't possible due to the brush abutting it and i just remember him butting his head back out the hole in the fence saying "what are you doing!? Let's go!!" with a serious sense of panic in his voice. I crawled through the hole and both my ears immediately popped... hard. Popped like I've never felt before or since. Stranger still, my "friend" at 7y.o., turns to me and with the diction, tone and authority of an adult says "make sure your ears pop." I said they just did. He looks at me and says "you're sure they popped?" "Yes" i said adamantly and he just shook his head knowingly, "OK good" he said with a serious sense of relief in his voice, gesturing for us to climb out of the landscaping at the back of our neighbors yard. Upon walking out of their yard he said his mother called him, i didn't hear anything, he persisted, i tried to follow him, he said he had to go to music class at school... it was July and he didn't play an instrument. This whole thing struck me as extremely odd, because it was for a myriad of reasons. So Im watching him walk across the street to his house, but he doesn't go to the house he goes to walk around the far side of a detached garage. "Oh no way" i thought and took off chasing him as fast as i could without making any noise... essentially power walking after him. I got to the corner of the garage, which had nothing but a field on the other side and gravel landscape at the far corner, which i would have heard clearly if he'd gone back around the far corner, 2-3 seconds after he did. He had disappeared into thin air. Gone. Nothing there and literally no where to hide. So, 2 days later i see him and ask where he went, how he dissappeared and why he would clearly lie about his mother calling and ditch me. He looks at me like i had 4 heads and busts out laughing. I'm now pissed and am demanding to know where he went. He says "are you ok? I've been at my cousins the whole week and just got home a couple hours ago. We didn't hang out 2 days ago and i wouldn't ditch you" (paraphrasing, this was years ago). Not calmed by this at all I was almost yelling at him and he just said "could it have been a few weeks ago or something? I wasnt here for a week and definitely not 2 days ago." I finally had to give up but his cousins, two older brothers and mother all confirmed he was, in fact, at his cousins the entire previous week. I can't explain it and never had an experience like it again. I will, however, close with this. I was so afraid of that field, i never went back through the hole in the fence but i had to know, and asked my father to go for a walk with me... which we took to that field. It was completely back to normal, like it had always been multiple times before and nothing like it was this one other time. I have no explanation but I believe these people who dissappear right from under someone else's nose, without a single trace, really MAY have ended up somewhere else.
For years, this was just a weird experience for which I had no explanation or other reference but a few years ago David Paulides read a letter of a man saying he went to walk and meet his friends for camping through a small wooded lot and a couple adjoining fields. His story was fairly long but specifically, his details about sounds being muted and when arriving to where his friends were supposed to be camping there was no one there. Upon almost running back to a road that was the "long way" back home, his ears popped matching exactly what I experienced that day. He then called his friend who said they'd been camping there like they planned. Shaken, he had his friend pick him up and when driven back to where they weren't camping previously there they were, camping with a fire that had clearly been burning for hours. A weird cosmic coincidence? Idk..
All i can say, is if your ears ever feel like they're full of pressure and all the sounds become muted like there is cotton in your ears, go back the way you came, asap.

It makes sense that people think the natural is supernatural, tho -- we are all so accustomed to the city-state that the wild is actually unnatural to us, which is a shame. That said, it is the wild, and cares not how "experienced" a hiker may think himself.

      @MellowGhetto 5 місяців тому +6

"The Glimmer Man" is a human shaped figure that is almost completely invisible. They look EXACTLY like The Predator in that Arnold movie when it's cloaked. Like transparent out of focus wavy TV lines or the haze you see coming off of the black top on a hot day wrapped in a human form. There is DEFINITELY a connection to the missing 411 phenomenon.
      I'm absolutely convinced of it.
      My prediction is this.
I believe there is a word wide breakaway civilization of humans living underground.
A subterranean empire that stretches from one side of Earth to the other, connected via extinct magma tunnels.
Massive ancient underground cities all over America and indeed the world.
I believe the government knows full well of their existence and is keeping it under wraps. I believe they are extremely technologically advanced and possess cloaking technology.
Hence, people disappearing right in front of other people in the woods.
A large subterranean city would need to be near a water source. Hence, a lot of people disappearing near bodies of water and boulder fields. The boulders are probably roll away entrances into the underworld. As above, so below.

Wow... Thères people missing and likely lost their lives and people only worry about how a story line interprets the amount of time spent on a search .... People are becoming so distant to compassion. I'm sure that's not your intention I'm just using it for an example as to make a interpretation of why some people aren't found I don't think a lot of effort is really put into it like there use to be. Maybe it's because the national parks service already knows what might have happened or the cost completely outweighs human life, who knows but they definitely have cut the time and effort they put into searching for the lost. Unless your someone of importance or political status, or of a prominent family, your not going to recieve the attention you would have 20 years ago. You would think with technology and our abilities to traverse the wild now it would be easier than ever to find the lost. Instead more are going missing every year each and every day . I’m no wildlife expert and I haven’t a clue what wild animals populate that area, but that doesn’t sound like any animal I’ve ever heard. I’ve heard that growl in demonic haunting EVPs though and yes, I know how crazy that sounds. I prey it wasn’t that (or a dog man or Sasquatch). The “stop it”.; When people are attacked by dogs they’ll often say that out of sheer desperation. As I said, I truly hope that I’m wrong. Edit, there have been dog man sightings in Fergus Falls in Otter Tail County, a two hour drive from where Henry was found.

As soon as I hear Steve's voice, I feel like I'm being wrapped in a warm blanket, safe and full of gratitude, no matter what troubles lie outside of my mini hibernation. I've lost a lot of family and dear friends, if Steve had delivered the sad news, I probably wouldn't be so traumatized. I'm serious.
Recklessly, I blame BEARS for most of these instances. That or the worst apex predators of them all, humans. If I EVER entertained the thought of hiking or camping in a national park, as soon as they tried to take my firearm away at the gate, that would be all she wrote. Bear spray has been adapted to and overcome by the intended target and quite frankly, I'd feel inadequate "spraying" a 600 lb., 8 - 12 foot animal that clocks at 30 - 40 MPH. It's not a mosquito. It's a bear. Anyways, these stories break my heart but having Steve's soothing voice tell these seemingly hopeless tales, the horror is made tolerable. Prayers to the families of the missing.

Tanana is pronounced "Tan a naw" . It is an interesting river in that it is cloudy with glacial silt or flour. I used to live in Fairbanks.
    I enjoy your stories.🇺🇸

I have a friend that traveled to the Grand canyon and had to use the restroom and he saw a personnel door and entered. He was in shock at what he saw. He said there was a giant 8 ft humanoid or something of the sort. Men in black suits ran after him when he took off quickly. They questioned him as to what he saw he replied"nothing i didn't see anything man!" They let him go.

i enjoy your content very much so. I feel for everyone that's lost someone. i hope you all find peace. note to self, and others i guess.. humans built civilization and the indoors for good reason... people need not forget how fragile this window of life we have really is. Enjoy your time. spread positivity, not hate. make sure the tiny tiny mark you leave is a positive one. your chances of dying and nvr being found go up dramatically once you leave the boundary of boring normality.

Hi Steve! We enjoy watching these videos, although I wish there were less people missing. I wanted to let you know that Nate Ashby from Warrenton mo that was in this video... His remains were found in his truck submerged in the Missouri River. 6 months after he went missing. It's documented online. I remember watching it on the news bc I don't live far from there. Just wanted to give you the update.. I wish it was happier news. 0:42 Take care!

I disappeared in a National Park once - I climbed up a tree and never came back down and have not been seen or heard from ever since 😂

Why don't we have extensive trail cameras in all these National Parks??? I'm talking thousands of cameras, randomly & strategically placed in each National Park...
