I am from the UK and was shopping in a store with my mum and my daughter who was 3 years old when she wandered off for about five minutes. Those few minutes were like a nightmare, not knowing whether she had been taken. My mother and I were in a state of panic until a store employee came back to us holding my daughter’s hand. We felt so relieved that she was safe and thankful to the lady who noticed her and brought her to us.

Excellent point. I agree 💯, however That's why we have the FBI they're supposed to do all of this. But we don't see it. Half of these cases happened prior to drones and the Internet. But we could definitely use that now considering how many people come up missing. It's scary.

@@bluntlybold5962 law enforcement agencies do not care about missing persons cases as sad as that is it's just true the UA-cam channel adventures with purpose proves this time and again as they've solved 40 cold missing persons cases by simply doing what the police should have done they've found cars with bodies in them submerged in rivers that the police couldn't "find" in 10 years they go out and find these people in a couple hours of searching never trust law enforcement to find your loved ones

I can't imagine the fear the parents felt looking for their children. Omgoodness. I lost my daughter for less than 5 minutes in an amusement park and lost my mind. Completely lost it, she wasn't lost she was out of sight that was enough for me to completely flip my top. She went around a corner of a building at The same time I went around the opposite side missing her by seconds. She was 5. She's now 22 and smart. But it was fear and pain I can't imagine or want anyone to go through.

I can't imagine what it's like to be a parent of a missing child,,my heart hurts for them. My thoughts are racing trying to put myself in their shoes. My prayers go out to anyone who has had to endure this nightmare. The story that hit me the hardest was the 12 year old because I have a son with S needs, and they fought so hard to live, against all odds they are here, And in a split second, they can be gone, just like that. It doesn't seem fair.

This time, she was found dead by her own hand. Perhaps this is what occurred with the double disappearance of the one case. It's so sad, and I hope her family and friends can find some peace. Thank you. Every park you have spoken about I've found the need to look up out of curiosity to see the places they're last seen. Some are absolutely beautiful and inviting but it screaming danger. Im from the mountains of Washington State however I won't go on Solo hikes or camping by myself. I think growing up in it gave me a different outlook. I know it's dangerous and am pretty good with the wild. I still won't go. Nope. Because to many people are in the unexpected places. The one story about Lolly and Julia was a hate crime so basically no one's safe. Cant hide from life.

Anyone who goes into a national park appears to be courting disaster. These videos make that abundantly clear. Why in heaven's name do people put themselves in such unnecessary danger? Seems like many more people go into the parks than come out. Should the entry sign read, "Enter at your own risk," or "Abandon hope all ye who enter here"?

I've always wondered that with Dale Stehlings (not sure if I spelled that right, no disrespect intended if I did) if he possibly did go off trail, whether intentional or not, and either fell somewhere where he wasn't easily seen, or took shelter from the sun and something that had a canopy or covering like a small cave or outcrop. Then after he had passed away, a flash flood carried his body to a place where no one would expect it to be. I know flash flooding is an issue in areas where it's arid and the rain can't necessarily penetrate the ground. I did hear of a case where decades later partial remains of a young man were found and he had been caught in a flash flood. It carried his remains a long way. But that would explain how Dale's remains got where they were.

I heard about one of these stories once. A little girl was with her grand parents and she wanted to climb a tree to get a better look. While they stood at the bottom of the tree she did climb up. She never came back down. She was never seen again. And another one. A mom and her 2 yr old son was getting drinks out of a machine at a resting place. Soon as she turned around he was gone. They looked for this baby for months. One ranger couldn't stop. On his days off he'd go deep in the woods and camp looking. He said after 4 months of this child being missing that one night when he was camping he heard crying. He went looking and there was the little boy in the dark just in a diaper. He had been feed by someone or something the whole time he was gone. What is going on in these parks? People go missing that have been camping all their lives and children animals I don't understand. But I think it's a lot more than them just getting lost.

These stories break my heart and make me slightly paranoid. I never want to take my eyes off my kids if we're outside. Thinking back to my childhood, we spent gours every day, away from our parents. As early as five years old, we would ride our bikes for hours and when i was nine we would walk for miles in the summer, with absolutely no adults anywhere around

Theres always a reason why people "disappear". People just dont vanish out of thin air. You have to think outside the box with a lot of these cases and honestly people who have never searched for someone in thick woods dont understand how difficult it is to find someone ALIVE let alone dead and laying down. Every square foot of a search grid doesnt always get searched and people tend to panic when lost and travel really fast and far before it gets dark to find a way out! The worst thing you can do when lost is keep going in a direction you dont know! Stay put.! Its not going to be far from where you were last seen before you realize you are lost. It may take a little time but if you stay in the area and look for a an opening in the trees, you will be found. As long as someone knows you are out there. Also hiking or doing anything alone is the most dangerous and dumb thing you can do when not familiar with an area. Most people die from lack of experience, exposure and panic. Stay safe and god bless
