I always feel like the heavy energy weapons are the most op weapons in every fallout game but are overlooked by standard ballistics. The high damage output and standard armor negation is such a lethal combo
Ok, I may know why. Dearhclaws are gekos and chameleons, I believe. They can't see shit in bright light. Mag flares blind you, so maybe they get temp blind and freak out. The studio def didn't do it because of that, lol.
Liked the video. Always enjoy the thorough analysis of each weapon in NV. You actually flirt with this idea, but I’d love a video series about the most effective weapon for each mission. More of an idea for future content. Cheers ReapeeRon!
I assume the implication with the cleansing flame is to just spray down everything without holding a shot on it, likely with a move speed perk like atomic? Least that was the intention wit the high afterburn damage.
How willing would you be to do a new series on fnv? Specifically a tier list video for the most effective weapons in the hands of each companion. So for example The Best and Worst Weapons for Boone: Fnv Tierlist” or something. I’ve found that Boone is really really good with the cz57 avenger but he’s useless with a supersledge for example. Then cass is fucking terrifying with a marksman carbine I’ve found. Veronica kinda sucks with most ranged weapons but give her a Gauss rifle and watch as she systematically removes the compass of any and all things red. So stuff like that but for every weapon or atleast weapon type. With one video per companion. It’d probably involve a lot of testing but I think they’d not only be a very unique resource for people to use but I’d imagine they’d do pretty well.
I wish I could find my old NV mod files. I made a selection of unique variants of weapons in the game...including one of the Flamer called the "Oxybustion" which had a base damage of 25 in exchange for no lingering fire. I also had a unique variant of the Recharger Rifle called "Fourtitude". It was basically the same as a regular one, only it had a 4x crit multiplier, fired 4 beams (12 damage each), had a mag cap of 4, and a spread of .04 instead of .02...also it had 4x the base item health at 800. There were 8 other weapons and all of them were carried (and used) by overpowered enemies that would start roaming after you did a quest called "The World is My Arena"...and they could be found in a ton of different places in the main waste (but only outdoors). I really need to find them again. I was having some AI issues and put it on hold, then I went to university...and everything got lost in the shuffle.
No.1 source for NV content at the moment. Love the in depth analysis
Heavy energy weapons must be my favorite type of weapons especially in Fallout New Vegas. The variety in this game is just awesome.

It confused me how a flare gun can scare away a deathclaw but an entire flamethrower can’t.
The flare guns projectile burns white hot and also a flare in your eye would send any self-respecting Deathclaw running for his mumma.
Obviously it doesn't make that much sense, but flares are crazy hot.

@@TimmyBobinsonmetal fire hurt look balls, BAD
Flamethrower is great to scare away Deathjaws tho
Awesome! Now here is wishing for "ultimate guide to ALL weapons in New Vegas" super video!
If you need flamer fuel go to the REPCONN HQ and get it from the Mr Handys there.
That is true the robots usually have a lot of fuel on them.

I gave arcade the Q-35 matter modulator 😂, I could barely draw my weapon😂.
I love the modded plasma caster
