  • League City's new Marsh Master took it's first trip today. It is a machine that was originally designed for use in wetlands, which makes it perfect for mowing retention ponds and ditches. Unlike the equipment the city is used to using, it can be transported and operated by one person, which frees up other crews and equipment for other projects.

Saw one of these for the first time a couple days ago (5/17) on the back of a flatbed under tow by a US Fish & Wildlife truck. Definitely an interesting looking rig.

Still have this equipment? Have a small 1000 sqft job that would improve a park here in East Texas. Want to improve the local park

Enough of y'all shitting on the Marsh Master.
I once got a chance to run one of these things, absolutely amazing piece of machinery.
I actually fell asleep in it.
Of course, it could just be me, mower enthusiast.

Please explain why you feel the need to cut the vegetation that is supposed to be a life source for the wildlife?

How else do you propose they control stromwater runoff?

And this folks is the reason my home tax appraisal goes up nearly $30,000 per year. They gotta pay for toys somehow.. kinda like LCPDs SWAT vehicle. Its larger than HPDs!! Its a beautiful place to live, but its ran by wasteful idiots. Operational fuel cost for this is $64/hrs. This is a complete waste of tax payer money.

So we bought this to cut grass? What a waste of money.

I personally am very upset about this! How much money did these idiots spend on something so useless? We need our marsh and wetland areas in top shape with natural vegetation to help us cope with flooding in our city. We have morons in our city government and we need to remove them from these crucial positions. What idiots!!

Vegetation that blocks proper stormwater runoff.

There was a time when hard work ( shovels , rakes , and trash bags were used. Sickle also
Could be used. No sense in buying a machine that will not be used vert often at the price the city paid.
