Fuck I fucking love Pig Destroyer. Death, grind, thrash, groove, whatever they lean toward they own.
Yep, and they switch it up all the time and mix things up, which makes all their songs so good and entertaining. My absolute favorite band.
Grind core
I love everything about this album, the riffs, the lyrics, how the production ended up sounding in regards to drums, guitars, VOX, everything, its perfect.
This is my first experience of pig destroyer... WOW holy shit balls 😲👌

Pig Destroyer's sound has a evolved a bunch over the last couple of albums (first adding a sampler, then a bassist, lots more guest vocal spots), but they're still as great as ever. One of my all time favorite metal bands, let's stop with with the 5+ year waits between albums lately, gentlemen!

Every day that passes i appreciate this album even more. Amazing recording, really happy that they took a totally different approach and created this.
Kat does some of my favorite vocals and she sounds great with JR and the rest of Pig Destroyer. The bottom line is, no matter what you do, people on the internet will cry about it... So make sure you do what you want.

There's a Pig Destroyer album out there for almost anyone now. That's the way it should be. They're doing it right. If I feel like ripping someone in half Johnny Cage style, I'll throw something on like Terrifyer. If I'd just like to smack them, I'll throw this on. Perfect.
This album is amazing from start to finish...adding adams brother on bass adds alot of depth.We all know Prowler in the yard is their best but this is a great album...I also liked book burner..hell I just love this band in gen.
Yeah I’ve never understood how people didn’t like Book Burner, it’s obviously not their crown gem but it has so many fucking bangers and continued to solidify their unique sound without just watering down their classic sound.
People ask me why I like grindcore. This is the reason I like Grindcore.

Very good album, The Last Song is a piece of art, but Prowler of The Yard remains their best record, that's on another level .
@Z A C H that's your opinion, I love Terrifyer too but the sound and rhythmics of Prowler are above anything else they put out. Let's just enjoy this band.

Prowler in the Yard is honestly one of the best Grind albums ever conceived. Besides AnB's PCP Torpedo/ANBrX
This is my gateway album for grindcore. Love the riffs and intensity!
They always were a perfect gateway band into grind, and this is proving to be even more accessible for the modern generation than Terrifyer or Phantom Limb were last decade. Prowler will always be my favorite but I respect and love that they’re not trying to milk their old riffs and aesthetic in their new work.

what are you talking about? all those genres you mentioned are totally and completley influenced by hardcore punk. This is full circle, and unless you are deaf or really do not know what you are talking about, you can absolutely hear the hardcore punk in these riffs.

You know, I love Pig Destroyer. And I don't judge them for how they've changed, it's a good tactic to introduce new people to the group. But, now they just sound like Napalm Death if they were metalcore.
I feel the same. This album isn't bad but they've made their sound more accessible by making it sound like a metalcore band with the production and performances and now they just don't push the boundaries of grindcore like they did on their early albums. If people like this album its fine with me, I just personally think this record doesn't hold up in their discography let alone grindcore
They've grown up a little. They are def honing the production. Get them with Kurt Ballou and Godcity

Kurt Ballou would be the perfect man to give them the sound that keeps them clean and accessible for the modern generation while staying gritty enough for the old fans. Can’t believe they haven’t done so; they even came from similar or closely linked scenes in the 90’s.

Side issue....nothing to do with Pig Destroyer, but uh...don’t do crunches or leg raises. Minimally effective and the stress crunch-type exercises put on the lower back far outweigh the results. You’ll get all the ab exercise you need for fuck-ready abs by doing proper-form deadlifts, squats, bent rows, and straight-arm pulldowns. You’re welcome.
