Desharnais was a double agent tonight
He was always a double agent hahaha
I like him, but he was his own worst enemy a lot of the time.
Special agent Vinny was on the case. He and Nurse exchanged intel a few times too.
Drai with the backhand sauce from the parking lot, gotta be one of the most disgusting things I’ve witnessed.
Good to see Philp get an assist. Hopefully this is a good sign for his future with the team
MAAAAN I wish I could have been there for the livestream.. What a game!! I wish I could have seen more of the Perry trolling.
So proud of our guys pulling it together for a statement game against the nucks. Less stress dealing with their fan's being lippy in the comments ;) haha
The officiating finally called penalties.
You are so right, Austin. I’m so glad that’s it for games against the Oilers. It was a brutal beating for the Canucks. But the Oilers were the better team by far. I am sad for my Canucks but there’s definitely something wrong going on. I did enjoy the fun of the rivalry, even though it got a bit crazy this time. Thanks Austin. ❤ Yes , what a game.
I sat ahead of a Canucks fan all night
the whine was immaculate, to the point his fellow fans told him to ease up
was it the guy shushing the edmonton crowd when van scored the second goal? ahahahaha that guy sucked
@@kookfishin no but that hilarious
@@kookfishin He's the reason I did the shush motion for my thumbnail 😂
@@kookfishinThat guy was the living embodiment of the podium meme with the dude at the bottom showering himself in champagne
Always happy when Nuge pots one
I am very grateful that Perry is an Oiler because he did exactly what I expected him to do for us since his signing last year 🥹 alright Canucks, ggs and we finally won the regular season series against them after a brutal one last year but this rivalry could get very outrageous sometimes. Oilers put up a statement W, we dominated on every aspect in this game and I’m sure McDavid sitting at home watching this game with joy and can’t to have him back, one more game to go 😭
If Draisaitl winds up winning the Rocket and Art Ross Trophy as well as having the best +/-, would he be almost a lock for MVP? It's whatever cause he's the MVP to me so far this year. I love when he proves all doubters wrong when he lights up the score sheet practically every time when McDavid is out of the line-up. Draisaitl is a SUPERSTAR on his own. Gotta love Drai.😊
Great game to witness in person. Oil were all business and Picks was solid. Awesome team win!
It puts a smile on my face to see the Canucks continue to fail
Love your positivity and your humbleness! I love how you address the issues with out being sour and too salty lol keep it real
I can finally say unironically, never in doubt. They were not gonna lose 3 in a row
So proud of Oilers! They were very mature!
Great game by the Oil!!! I commented on your episode when Connor got suspended and I got attacked lol!! I let it be. It’s just a game, life goes on lol!!😊
Haha just realized your thumbnail is a throwback to that Vancouver fan who was trying to "shush" Edmonton fans after they scored one goal that one time. Nicely done 😅
Thanks for the measured take on a painful game Austin! Love that you're keeping it classy ❤ I'm also fed up with the hate that gets drummed up from the rivalry, it should be about chirps in good fun not nasty anonymous brigades
Hyman pull out a good one !! Or two !! LOL
I'm just glad oilers won. Need the points.
Thank the lord we won the series against the Nucks, and thank the lord we don't have to put up with their fans quite as much for a while (most of them are fine, but the ones who are not are among the most insufferable). Also a possible thanks to the Nucks for helping Drai secure the MVP award? Still a lot of season to go. Another big game for Drai against the Sabres with no McDavid would be another small step towards that goal.
Great Podcast
Poised. Thank God that Pickard gave them the inspiration and determination to ride his wave of massive success and wall like excellence into a thunderous and bludgeoning beatdown on a team of Canuckle's, who may well take decades to heal from the soul crushing defeat that Pickard and those skaters laid on them.
Connor Garland being enemy number 1 in Edmonton is just straight ridiculous.
I'm way more mad about Tyler Myers clipping Bouchard in the teeth for existing.
Not really mad a Garland at all, always though he was a solid player.
That whole encounter was more McDavid's fault anyway, he started it and they just got away with escalating their situation with no whistle.
Where was the whistle?
Oops I dropped it...
I know there are bad Oilers fans (there's a few of em all over the sportsnet videos alllll the time).. I think by and large though, there's a difference in the chirping between Edm and Van.. I think for the most part (anecdotally at least), Edmonton fans are happy and love our team when we win, and mad at our team when we lose... In the case of the nucks fans, I've noticed (again anecdotally), that they are poor winners (poo pooing on oilers fans), and then mad at the oilers and the oilers fans when we win... It's very tiring like you said... I just wish we could say "Good game and well played ya knuckle head... see you next time".. but ah well.. cest la vie
The comments sections in the highlight videos are just where the dumpster fans go to fling turds at eachother
this is great! but you should go live DURING the game too! on Assist so your audience can perfectly sync your stream with the game on their TVs! no spoilers or lag!
The worm played the entire Vancouver bench like a fiddle
Damn straight Garland lives in my head rent free. It's what made the cross check so much fun. And I'm sure Perry is living in their heads now. Anyway, the score says everything.
**insert laughing dog from Duck Hunt**
Hyman( 2 + 1 ) took off his mask and remembered that he could score without McDi.🤪 Drei ( 1 + 2 ) is great as always 😇 Let's go Oilers !
I watched a video about how the NBA is dying partly because they have no rivalries and people (players and fans) aren't passionate about the game anymore.
Mochi be like, "I'm the real show here. Behold." tries to sqiurm from behind/paw away the encroaching on-screen Oilers logo
had my buddy talk about how we suck without mcdavid (which the numbers even before this game prove otherwise). Unfortunately for him the canucks got blasted 😊
Awesome to see garland get what was coming to him the kap goal was salt in the wound. 3 dejarnais penalties was crazy
Your cat is beautiful
We love mochi
Bro I am totally with you on this rivalry getting toxic and out of hand. Good job corralling the stream tonight, but man. I got banned from the Canucks sub for saying gg, see you in October. That is the current state of that fandom. Absolutely snarling, foaming at the mouth sometimes when it comes to Oilers fans. And vice-versa. Just everybody stop it. Game wise, The Canucks FO and their fandom need to face the reality that, the Canucks likely won’t make the playoffs with this kind of performance and need an intervention in the locker room, possibly some selling. It’s just the reality for that team and I feel for their fandom, but they throw it back at you because you’re an Oilers fan. Dumb.
Game 48. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Vancouver Canucks. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones. My comments and observations at the end.

Still can't watch or listen to games while I wait for surgery. I couldn't post any numbers for Oilers on the PK as all Oilers Penalty minutes were coincidental and they're not broken out per se (while I could take the 5V5 numbers and substract the EV numbers and the PP numbers that's a lot of work so sorry, no PK TOI numbers (lol)).
General Opinion: This was an ass kicking with the Oilers toeing the posterior of Vancouver. They led 5-0 at the 32 minute mark. Corey Perry is the DUDE. The Dude you want on your team and dread if he's not. Lets just say he played the game this night (I mean a DDT to Quinn Hughes, come on and that was during a Garland Scrum too (and he was a bad boy with 2 penalties tonight) and everyone on the Canucks (and Oilers, and in the stands and watching or listening however you do that) knew it. Yes, Hyman 2 Goals and an assist. Leon a goal and 2 assists. That's great. Honestly that first goal by Hyman after the incredible backhand pass by Leon from basically the Oilers goal line to JUST in front of the Canucks Blue line was incredible. Ekholm made an exceptional pass to Henrique too for his wrap around and anyone who says Emberson didn't fight for the puck and win the fight before passing it to Kapanen is blind. Former Oilers Vincent Deharnais was a menace on the ice (for Vancouver) getting 3 penalties (at least one of which was scored on) and it wasn't a good night for him.
Few stat notes: Podkolzin: 6 HITS (led in hits) 2 Blocks, Nurse: 5 Hits, 2 Blocks, Hyman: 3 Blocks (had the most blocks for the Oilers). Nurse, Stecher, Perry, and Kapanen all had coincidental minor penalties. Vancouver ate 26 minutes (nearly 1/2 the game) in penalty minutes (of which 8 were coincidental). Oilers were 50% on the PP and since Vancouver had ZERO PP opportunities their PK was 100% (stopping all 0 power plays (lol)).
Take care all
Flames-Oilers rivalry is fun. Canucks-Oilers rivalry is a slog. I like both teams which makes it also suck too.
I love the Flames-Oilers rivalry too.. I have a lot of friends / family who are in Calgary, so it's easy to be happy because they're happy, even with the chirping...
I honestly can't stand the Vancouver fanbase at large.. I lived in Vancouver for 11 years.. I was there for the riots after the Boston Stanley Cup, and I lost respect for a LOT of canuck fans over that.. The only vancouver fan I respect and like is The Hockey Guy :) haha
Austin mewing in the thumbnail fr fr
Nucks have 1 good regular season and all the sudden they think they're Oilers rivals. Reality is, they are Calgary rivals, the Oil is next level. Flames fans know.
Just curious 🧐 what do you mean by “rent free?”
@@kenwardwong4544 Means rent is free.
Canucks f a nbase are ree tar8d. I used to live in BC. Go Oilers! Draisat MVP.
Garlands highlight of his NHL career will be getting cross checked by McDavid,so he can go back to the shadow’👋
Pickard showing fish flop Skinner how to win a game. Skinner sucks
