the problem is that if you dont watch the entire game, you really dont understand how oilers really played and then go on to make videos with terrible takes like this. Do you even live in edmonton or are some guy in the another city who started a channel to make money off edmonton oilers success and small youtube media market on oilers?

I love that this is even up a conversation. I think Leon Draisital will go home with all the trophies (Rocket, Selkie, Hart.) You named along with a Cup and maybe even a Conn Smythe. He can do everything. He has an amazing shot. He can drive the puck up ice. He can play physical hockey. He can pass the puck well. He has amazing hands. He has great defense. This is the Oilers I know. I believe that Edmonton are the Cup Favorites. I thought they were last year as well but got off to a slow start in the finals. Not that Florida didn't deserve the cup or anything they for sure did. I think they will win it if they do end up staying healthy I think they are the best team in the world.

The team is a wagon but hopefully some lessons are learned from the mistakes last game too. The timestamps are very handy, thanks! Regarding the goalie interference call- the score at the time undoubtedly influenced the judgment and I’d expect the same treatment if roles were reversed…unless Hyman. Regarding Eichel’s hit on Ekholm, if I was Knoblauch I’d have lost my temper at the refs. He is a bit too passive sometimes. The refs need to know when they done messed up bad!😅

The goalie interference call wasn't about the contact with Skinners glove, it was Stone swatting Skinner's stick out of position as he was trying to get set for the shot. Shouldn't have counted but oh well.

I think Stu just needs to ask Cal Pickard for pointers on playing the puck, Pickard's play outside the crease has been really solid and has given advantage to the Oilers very often without giving much up.

That one touch east west pass in the neutral zone by Brown to Draisaitl for the give n go was a masterclass in rush play! The off the pad shot pass for Brown on a platter was so cheeky to top it all off. I couldn't believe Brownie had the vision! Was that a set play?? Who knows? It was awesome!

As much as I hate to say it, that was well played by Stone. He baited Skinner into making contact but no overt interference, then quickly exited the blue paint. The mental games are just as important as the physical part of the game. Goalies gotta adjust mentally. Either act soft on contact is embellish, or ignore guys like Stone and let the chips fall where they may. Great game by the boys otherwise.

Pretty sure the call on the ice was actually No Goal. Vegas challenged it. Either way, good 38 minutes by the Oilers. 😊

Spectacular performance by the whole team, and as #1 fan of Stu, he did spectacular tonight despite the slip. I heard people being hard on him again, which imo is unwarranted cuz he played amazing. But here we go again, focusing on the 1 mistake. Sometimes I feel bad for my boy.

I’m not saying that there was goaltender interference or not on skinner but what I do got to say is that that has happened a few times this year when there’s goatender interference against the oilers similar to the contact on skinner and they call it no goal. It’s pretty frustrating when that the one time skinner gets into the opposing player to try and draw that call is not interference when literally every time a goaltender did it to an oiler player, they got the interference call.

I was actually at this game for a surprise Christmas present! I wasn’t too worried after the 5-3, we were out playing then for a vast majority of the game!

Yes great video and highly deserving of leon who has been a beast this season. It's still awesome that we have this guy on our team and he seems to be in a great mood this year in all his interviews, constantly smiling. I hope he gets all those trophies lol. it was todd marchant who was third in voting for the selke. For myself the closest comparable would be Mats Sundin another euro who was a big man, great in the circle, had a killer backhand and great wrister and for someone so big he could skate and handle the rough stuff, and i don't even like the maple laughs.

I'd actually rather have Kapanen than Arvidsson at this point. I think that signing was a mistake. Yes, he was a good in LA and sometimes pretty clutch aswell. However I just don't think his playstyle is a good fit in the Oilers top 6. He could probably slot in decently in the third or fourth line but then he's pretty expensive. Kinda the same problem I have with Jeff Skinner. I'd love to be wrong though, especially since he's a fellow swede.
