Nadia singlehandedly ruining the Canucks-Kraken rivalry with all this love. Seriously though what a legend. This had me 😭
Me too man… his family calling 😭
Yeah, I thought the same. This will be more a friendship than a rivalry. Let's get another Hockey Team in Portland and try again.
A beautiful story and ending.
@@GermanBeardGuy lmaooo “try again”. Next time a coach is gonna get saved from a burning car wreck.
@@GermanBeardGuy We can't take any chances, we need to name that Portland team the Portland Orca-Punchers to make no mistake.
She deserves a full scholarship.
A truly remarkable story about a remarkable young woman.
Easily the story of the year…on January 1.
Oh man, that facetime with his family...it really teared me up.
Nadia is a representation of what legends are made of. Truly inspiring what kind of person she is and how humble she still is. Uniting a fanbase and rivalry. Way to go Nadia and thank you for your reminder to speak up and making a difference. So glad to be friends and you are always going to be forever appreciated by fans of both teams.
"But I thought 'there's no other time I'm going to see this person'..." This right here. If you're ever in doubt of when to tell a stranger something potentially important, remember this.
Canucks and Kraken friends forever ❤
Until the first playoff meeting at least 😅
@@mikelow4374 It will be an amazing playoff. I suspect the Kraken and Canucks have a long and fruitful future. If they ever meet in the conference finals, no matter who wins, there will be no bitterness. Only compassion. This is truly what hockey is about: its about the people
She's not just well-spoken like most doctors, but she's a natural in front of the camera... Incoming Nadia Medical YT Channel
I just love this so much. Not all heroes wear capes
Some wear awesome tuques 😅 love her knit octopus one 😃
She wears a white coat.
What an amazing story.
That was one of the best stories I've ever heard I fighting back the 😢
The biggest feels for me in this story comes from the idea that his daughter will get to continue to have a father. It never says how old his daughter is, but if she is under the age of 13 right now, this makes a HUGE difference in that young girls ENTIRE life! 👀😳😱
I think he said shes 13 in another interview.
@@kendo207 So, it does make a huge difference for her. If unchecked he might have lived another 4-5 years. Losing a parent in your teens or earlier would be quite devastating.
This is the type of story to make anybody cry idc who you are
wow she is beautiful, smart, humble and loves sports . whom ever marries her will be the luckiest person in the world.
Despite the cities being more separated than ever during this pandemic, the ties that bind the cities of Vancouver and Seattle together just got pulled tighter by this inspirational story.
Just think, without her in 5 years we would be having a red Hamilton night in his memory, a great decision by her and a heartwarming story
He was my neighbor at one point, in like 2017. Good guy.
Well, there goes the opportunity to build up a hate filled rivalry... 😉
Like a good neighbor, the Kraken fans have our backs!
Cheers!
One of the most underrated talents of doctors and medical professionals - an amazing ability to connect with people. This women was able to connect with and diagnose a patient through hockey glass at a hockey game. Amazing.
Lesson Learned: "When in doubt, say something. You just never know if you could save someone's life with less than 1 minute of your time."
As a cancer survivor I know that going through it is not a very fun process. For someone to save someone else from that process is more than you can put into words. Even if you don’t go through chemo if you just have a surgery like I did the disease still affects you For the rest of your life. For him to have totally avoided all of that heartache because of someone’s good deed is amazing. She is a going to be an amazing Doctor 👩⚕️!
Great story and glad to hear things worked out the way they did!
It would be pretty cool if Nadia became the team doctor for the Kraken or Canucks someday.
We need more people like her
Wow, Nadia’s such a wonderful person. Poised, Professional & Polite. She has a bright future ahead of her! Keep showing this world and our society what it really means to help your fellow person. 👏
What a remarkable woman, such a small gesture that most people wouldn't even think of doing, well done.
An amazing lady 👏👏👏
More awesome than awesome.
He’s a father, a son, a brother,a husband,an important person in the organization, and a human being.
She’s inspiring, deserving, and a beautiful person.
Probably not true, but word is that in the operating room the nurse pointed out the location, saying “Bruce, there it is.”
Go Canucks Go
😂😂
Everyone has an angel out there. It's a miracle if you meet yours and even more so if you are for someone else
She’s an ANGEL
It’s truly a shame Seattle didn’t come into the league the year after Vancouver. Nadia is a freaking Legend EH!
I knew the Hamilton family growing up. Some of the nicest people you can know.

She seems like such a great person. I love that she's getting all of this recognition. She deserves it!
I'm a Washington Capitals fan. This story proves why hockey is such a special sport, as well as the community that surrounds it!!!!
As someone who suffers from severe chronic depression for decades and also suicidal thoughts for many years,
the fact that Nadia works as a volunteer at a suicide prevention hotline just warms my heart.
She is a wonderful human being and for sure will be a phenomenal doctor.
Nadia is unique in that one cannot be humble and aware of oneself at the same time without genuine humility.
What a story! I am so proud of her!
A true example of someone putting others/community first before themselves...respect.
Heartwarming- a perfect scenario being in the right place at the right time doing the right thing - love it 😊
