Funny that if not getting the vials made Coop pass out that the other ghouls don't pass out when they're going feral. They don't cough either. Continuity error or a subtle clue... only future seasons will tell.
My favorite part of this series is the acting and characters. I love the IP, and I've played all the Fallouts. Still, the things that make this series for everyone is really what they did right, IMO. Thanks for the reaction, Aisha. Have a great weekend!
@@artxroyalty One nice thing about the games is that they're all pretty much standalone stories, so you don't need to start the series on the first. You can pretty much jump in anywhere. That said, I personally think that Fallout 4 is the most newbie-friendly. It's set in the Boston/New England area, so a lot of ground to explore without necessarily tripping over or needing to be aware of lore from the west coast. Also, the storytelling by nature positions the main character as a fish out of water, so often you as the player are learning right alongside the character you're playing.
“But the thing is, he can’t shoot you because he needs you” He also can’t shoot her because she bit off his trigger finger. He’d need to put the gun in his off-hand.
What do the three main characters have in common? They're all great shots with a gun. Next episode they'll start to expand on some important realities about the world.
I see you working the puzzle. If you feel distressed by this process, realize it’s because the show hasn’t given you all the pieces yet. Soldier on, I think you’ll appreciate this process. This is a show that NEEDS the kind of engagement you’re giving it.
I like to think of the main 3 as players of a Fallout game with very different playstyles lol Lucy picks every good/selfless dialog option or story choice even when it it's impractical or inconvenient to her, the Ghoul chooses any selfish/practical option that brings him closer to his quest goal, and Maximus is more ruled by impulse and a desire for personal glory and does not have a greater goal or morality he feels strongly about; he is like a kid who is slightly too young to be playing a game like Fallout but he saw the cool knight armor on the box and was like "THAT IS SO COOL I HAVE TO BE THAT!!!!!"
There's also the question of which of the SPECIAL stats each character opted to use as a dump stat (I'd argue that for Lucy, it's Luck, for Maximus it's Intelligence, and for the Ghoul it's Charisma... but the Ghoul makes it hard to stick to that assessment because in so many ways it feels like he's the old player that has a balanced build optimized for his combat style, and has minimized the impact of any weaknesses he may've had before two centuries of leveling).
No kidding. Episode 1 faked us out into thinking that the series would have a rotation of three protagonists... but there's Norm, Stealth Protagonist #4, leaving his mark.
[13:18] "Mainly Lucy episode." - Nope. The Ghoul as well. [NOT a spoiler, a replay, to feed your analysis addiction] How many times have you seen pieces of that movie? You saw part of Coop filming it. But he balked at the script. _Why_ ? You might want to go back and rewatch that scene, paying attention to his conversation with the director. Then rewatch the scene in the finished movie that The Ghoul reminisced over after loading up on his inhaler (or however he took the drugs Lucy accidentally scored for him). This is what separates _great_ movies/series/novels from simpleton junk stuff. *LAYERS* of meaning. Somebody stomps a puppy, we are outraged, two hours of revenge pourn. Boy meets girl, boy & girl lose each other for some reason, hour and a half of "they've got to get back together _some_ _how_ " romantic drama/comedy tripe. But this guy (Nolan) did Westworld and Interstellar. Now he's adapting a video game about the destruction of civilization as we know it, and what comes after. [once again, no spoilers. As Betty told Norm, I'm treading carefully.] Here we've got three very different characters with unique backgrounds to unravel, several subcultures (known to gamers but not folks who didn't play Fallout) to discover, specific overarching plot threads that keep banging into each other, and essentially a series of mysteries that tickle the viewer's brain with incessant questions. But like Tolkien did with The Hobbit/LotR, there are questions here that step back out of the plots and drama, to _our_ world. A _dismally_ _few_ reactors have taken that climb to forty thousand feet to see what Nolan is telling us with the Fallout series. I strongly suspect that you might be able to see above the two dimensional chessboard of character development and plot lines and start to see the _much_ bigger picture here... BTW, has anyone ever told you that you're too smart for your own goddamn good? Bet they have. 😉

Ass jerky is diabolical Also some interesting parallels. Lucy has stapled herself and now lost a finger similar to how we get with jinx. She stapled herself in season 1 and seemingly loses a finger in season 2. Curious
very good deduction, but you are missing one spoiler-free idea: imagine people in a society starting a coup (for any reason). there will always be people defending the status quo. i assume thats what made them kill each other. you can see others that just hanged themselves or went stabby on a toaster oven, so they reacted to their situation quite differently it seems. love your reactions, even though they feel a bit short and are lacking some of the cool scenes, in this for example a ghoul making his own confetti or wet ladies.

The Ghoul didn't offer water to Lucy... because it has rads. Teaching her the ways of the wasteland.
Letting her make that hard choice by herself. Short term need for water, vs long term health.
The end scene got me. The Ghoul watching the first time, he sold his dignity for money. He is the one now, who has only 2 out of 3.
There's no fudge here.😂😂😂😂
