"Heck's", that was a local store that was our Walmart back in the day, most of our toys came from them in the 80's. Brother Prime (Mike) always seems to just fall into great deals as far as Toys & Comics go. Beautiful figure, nice and bright white.
Hecks is the store, or was the store. I’m originally from Ohio, and we had them in the 80’s into the early 90’s. Great find, especially in that condition!
My favourite Powermaster! Absolutely love the race car mode and that’s a fantastic robot mode. Love the chromed Powermaster Engine too. This one is in phenomenal condition given how often you see one that’s yellowed!
My old school buddy had this one. He lend it to me for few days and it had good play value. It is one of the coolest powermaster along with darkwings. Pretty cartoon accurate.
This was one of my favorites when I was little. I lost my whole collection when I went into the military (long story) but I was able to buy him a few years back on Ebay.
Congratulations on your newest addition for your collection. That's a very nice piece. Thanks for showing us, these treasures. There were a lot of transformers in the 80th, although I know many of them, and I also watched the cartoon series, its hard to remember them all, but fortunately your channel exists. I started collecting the new series of transformers, I like them very much. The war for Cybertron Figures are very nice, but I will also add some of the old transformers to my collection. Keep up the great work. Greetings from Vienna Austria

The only thing I remember Getaway for is his insane IDW counterpart, who was almost as bad a robot as Bayverse Sentinel Prime was. Though despite that, Getaway has an amazing figure!
I completed all My G1 toys back in 2000, Got mine cheaper. Plus back in 97 an antique dealer hear in town. I got like Several g1 transformers from him 2 boxed G1 trypticons. Yes I still have a G1 trypticon sealed. also 2 g1 Bludgeon carded figures. $25 each for him & I opened one up brand new. one reason the back of the card was damage so I kept the nicer one sealed. Then the Year before 96 I found a Complete G1 scourge for $2 and I got some micromaster stuff at a rummage sale. patrols & both decepticon bases complete for like $10 for lot.
This evil bastard. IDW Getaway is an Autobot I love to hate and I’d love to own him in G1 form. Thanks for the review. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to see a presentation for him.
I loved all the toys from this era. We just don't get toys like this anymore sadly. Even the double dealer we got in the WFC line was a bit lack luster since it's power masters were added after the fact as resculpts of soundwave's cassettes that didn't really connect like they should have. We need proper renditions of these figures in the modern era engineering. I'm especially disappointed with our new target master weapons. Hasbro/Takara can do so much better than just block characters that don't move at all for that size. But noooooo! They give us figures right out of the 80s design engineering. Sigh....They've made leaps & bounds in their toy designs, but keep giving us stuff from a by gone age and still expect top dollar. What happen to toy companies willing to take pride in their products being the best quality possible? 😢
