Everyone is focused on the on air talent. They are only 50% of the reason why the show is great. The crew behind the scenes are just as valuable. If nbc, espn, or amazon were able to get all four, the show wouldn’t be the same without the turner production team.
It might be better without the turner production also I’m not saying tnt has bad production but if they gave these 4 guys the platform like pat macaffe has on ESPN it would be way better. Being allowed to swear and have basically no guidelines to follow.
@@stingrey1571 I agree but they can have it in the contract that ESPN doesn’t have any say on what goes on during the show just like pat and the boys did. It’s not espn’s show it’s just on ESPN they partnered. Those 4 could easily do the same but also Ernie is staying at turner no matter what
If the show goes to Barkley’s production company, he could hire the current Turner production crew along with the four guys. I imagine they’d have to change the title and the studio, but otherwise, the show can continue with the same great production. If I had to bet, I think Amazon will be the most willing to buy that show, but I’d be pleasantly surprised if NBC or even ESPN buys it.
@@acornsucks2111 everytime they ran the show when Ernie was on leave, it went off the rails really fast. Think of Ernie as an expensive but highly qualified babysitter of immature, middle aged, multi millionaires. 😂
Ernie already said he was staying with TNT because he also does baseball. Dude is a loyal kat so if anything he would probably retire no matter how much money they throw at him to go elsewhere. He is 70 and really is not lookin for a huge payday. His family is down there and i would guess a move is out of the question. One of the true stand up kats in the business and there aren't many. Those four guys don't need anybody else to be the best thing out there in terms of the NBA. Danny hit the nail on the head, someone at any network will think they can make it better. Why else would they be wedging Draymond Green in there right now? Nobody wants him in there but those guys are professionals.
Barkley IMO is waaaay overexposed. Old takes, and his folksy, "I'm going to be honest with choo," language is just how Southerner's often speak when they are definitely going to go extra heavy on the BS. See how he played TNT vs LIV as a test of this straight talk. He's a talent, but let some other voices have the mic. IMO straight talkers don't accept $ from internet gambling while advising people how to hold onto their money, nor do they encourage supersizing their meals at Subway while they take Mournjaro
It may be better for NBA on TNT crew to call it quits while they're in their prime. You want to end something before it's too late. Grace is in knowing when to leave, kinda like when George Washington decided not to run for a third presidential term.
@@Oldasianguy No kidding....if Ernie wasn't "interjecting" 3/4 of the show would be guys talking over each other with Shaq screaming about how many rings he has.
Kenny brings a different angle being the only guard and only role player. Shaq is comic relief. Ernie Johnson is the best referee associated with the NBA.

Yeah Tony Reali is really good!
Idk why he doesn’t get more hosting opportunities? He’d be the best replacement for Ernie.
Amazon needs to just back the brinks truck up and just keep the show going
The TNT crew should start their own podcast with a replica of their studio set...it's the new wave

Yes he is because he says the way it is he don't kiss as

Us old guys watch it.
Occasionally. Still watch pti if Tony is on, which isn't a lot.
I still watch Pardon the Interruption
Yep still watch both ATH and PTI. Miss Jackie Mac and Sara.
