Great video as always! Can't wait for the ultimate nipper roundup. What could be cool is getting a bunch of cut pictures from each nipper and setting up a blind head to head comparison to remove any possible biases.
You seem to cut the nubs perpendicular to the part. Instead, you're supposed to cut it horizontal to the part so that the cutting blade is sticking to the part while the blunt blade is under the part not touching anything. It even says that on the ST-X aliexpress page too. That way you will leave almost no numb marks. Here in Japan both ST-X and SPN-120 cost exactly the same (around 6500 yen)
I will probably buy this as well just for the case alone. I am not sure what the cutting angle of the neck portion of the nippers play a role in the overall performance of it. But the angle of the blade should play a role in the cut of the nippers. I am not sure if that is taken into consideration by Dspiae or even God Hand. But overall, the video was great. Keep up the good work.
I wonder if anything will make Godhand bring back their original process for their nippers. The GH hype was built around the OG hand sharpened SPN-120S and the first run of the SPN-120 seemed sharper than the 2nd and 3rd gen packaging. Still rocking a pair of SPN-120S from 2013 and several pairs of regular SPN-120 from the same time period. Should buy a new pair of Godhands and see if there’s been a change.
@@aMillaGunpla Yep and they were a step above, no question. They even had a listing in their Rakuten store to send back your old, dull Godhands to get them resharpened. Even against the 1st Gen SPN-120 (which were also likely hand sharpened), they were still much sharper. Sadly I never properly tested them outside the new first cut vs new first cut but I have DSLR pictures from back then. Heck I still have the same pair from 2013 and they're sharper still than the SPN-120 sets I have. Could buy a new set of Godhands but comparing a brand new 2023 pair of nippers versus one from 2013 that has literal dozens of kits...isn't exactly apples to apples.
I have the Dspiae in my cart as I type this. The only reason I’m NOT getting godhands is because I hear about people breaking them all the time. Never heard of anyone breaking dspiae.
The only time people break them is when they cut a piece to thick. They even tell you NOT to cut thick plastic with just about all single blade nippers.
So uh... this apparently doesn't exist anymore? The new packaging got backported to the ST-A 3.0 and now they also have a new nipper model called the EN-A? Weird behavior for an established brand.
I just checked.. that is strange. Maybe other people were reporting that weird grind issue I had and they had to recall them? I have heard about the EN-A nippers though
@@aMillaGunpla the grind finishing issue made me think this was some weird trial run or they were stolen off the assembly line. As you mentioned though, it’s jus superficial. Don’t regret buying these!
The reason you got the ST-X cheaper could be because it's the prototype initial run, which explains the weird tool head. The current batch is priced higher than the ST3.0. I'm considering getting a pair of ST-X whenever Ali is having a sale next. God Hands are overrated, been using ST3.0 forever, you could buy almost 3 of them instead of a GH. Not to mention the amount of counterfeits out there due to GH's popularity. Just get a Dispiae and be done
Man, DSPIAE should REALLLLLLLLLY bring you on to help them make their amazing tools look even more amazing!
Those close-up photos are great. Always include those to see exactly how the nippers perform. Thanks!

Which one Is the best option in your opinion?
Yours might be the most underrated YT channel in the community. Big ups!
Great comparison! These look like they performed really well. If I didn't just recently buy a replacement ST-A, I would jump on these
Thanks for the video! Was looking for a comparison between ST-A and ST-X and I found this really helpful ✨
I just found your channel and bought a bunch of stuff to get into gunpla! I like your videos the most! please make more!

The angel would only help with lining the cut better.
Great vid again for the tools. Looks like the ST-X has a different angle for cutting but performs similar to the older st-a 3.0 and Godhand.
Please review DSPIAE's ES-P sanding pen! Really curious to hear your thoughts on its usefulness for gunpla
Is ST-X is an upgraded version of ST-A 3.0?

That's crazy, had no idea of the hand-sharpened ones!

Finally a worthy competitor at an attractive price that I might even be able to buy in Europe at an acceptable price. ;-)
More content pls your reviews are great and fill a niche
I'd like to see more comparison on which leave the cleanest cuts flush against the piece.
Just a discussion on different shades of black.
figures I just ordered the 3.0s last night but should come in the new carry case
Do you have any info from DSPIAE about why ST-X has been removed from its store? I just broke my GH 😢
As of right now it's back on the store
is there any different in performance of ST-X and 3.0 version ?
Great comparison, if you are planning to put all those under a digital usb microscope... man, that's a video I'll happily watch :D

Is side cutter and single-edge nipper the same thing? Or does "side cutter" include any type of nipper
Is ST-A or ST-X better?

I just bought EN-A type of single blade from DSPIAE, I don't see any review of it on youtube, it cost just 20$ online store Indonesia.
How good the nipper?
@setsamidori8666 bagus nggak bang nippernya?
@@kitler9416 gw belum nyicip godhand, tapi enak bgt dibanding sama basic. hehe
New subscriber here! Any new videos AMilla? I see its been 2 months since this video. Thanks for the contents:)

Aaand It's gone again, looks like plenty other shops are stocking them though.
It’s scary how much you sound like pants are dragon 😂
"an edge over the other" heuhuehuheuheuh
Goddammit.. now what should I do with my old dspiae nippers? Lol!
Keep using 'em into the ground! Then keep using them as off-the-runner nippers 😛
Hey man luv ur reviews ❤ are u an asian? I'm from the Philippines I'll always watch ur UA-cam videos luv ur tips
Do you like buying from Aliexpress? And do you recommend it?
Why aren’t these on their official website?
They were originally, but they ended up taking them down, no news as to why though
@@aMillaGunpla I see; thanks for the insight. I keep seeing them pop up here and there on aliexpress but I’m not a huge fan of ordering off that site.

I wanted to watch your video, but the quiet screaming in the background interfered with my ability to hear you talking. I guess it's me, not you.
