Question! I'm planning on painting in my garage so on warmer days I can just leave it open. But during the winter if I don't open the door or have a window, can I lead the paint studio vent into a box or something? Would that work to do anything or any suggestions?

i am using some water slides and the one I practiced with still moved even when dried, any solutions to fix it? i don't quite have money to buy the decal solutions

Do you add decals before a base coat? I want to base coat before I panel line. I plan to decal, base coat, panel line, top coat. Does this sound ok?

I have a question on customizing the gunpla. can you go over how to design and then how to paint them? i just dont understand how people can come up with their ideas for their custom builds or how they know where to put the custom panel lines or paint. like how do they make it look so good. or if you can, can you point me in to the right direction please.

The first Gunpla I built was the original 1/144 ZZ Gundam back when I was a kid in ‘87. I wasn’t very good at it and I lost interest in the hobby in my teens. My mom died when I was 22 and I found myself trying to kick a really bad opioid habit. I was working at a special effects studio at the time and my coworkers were really supportive of my recovery… they would haul out a pile of model kits after hours and we would sit around building together. Going through withdrawals, I was frustrated and clumsy, but my friends were patient and I eventually got much better at building plamo. As a Mental Health professional today, I really appreciate the perspective and message of this video.

Hello, i messed up my matte top coat on a kit, so I decided to try this method. The coating scrubbed off with the toothbrush, but once it dried it started to leave large white streaks. Do you have any tips to prevent that from happening? Thanks!

Can I use these on mg kits?

Just wanna say the way you shake it will damaged the mixing ball inside in long term and not efficient, try to shake by rotating your wrist while shake it on and up slowly, don't put too much unneccesary strength .

I turned to Gunpla when videogames really stopped being my outlet and I found it very therapeutic and much more satisfying for myself. So every time I found myself in a dark place, I would tell myself to go grab a kit and build. Honestly helped me out a lot more than I thought it would

is there a way I can remove primer? I tried using alcohol but doesnt work on primer only on paint, tried thinner it removed the primer but ruined the plastic

2 months deep and i ended up getting most of the witch from mercury HD set and then last week got an HD psycho Zaku Ver Ka. For me this hobby is all about being in the moment with you the model and maybe some lofi jazzhop.

My first Gundam kit was back in 5th grade, my grandma bought it as a gift during our trip to Disneyland, I walked into this store and saw a Gundam kit, was so interested, and got it. Anime is a big part of my childhood, especially Gundam. I came home that day and immediately went to my room, shut the door, and began my work on the kit. I was so focused, so happy, so relieved and so much excitement that day, still feel the same now when building a kit. It ain't just a hobby❤️

I just broke up with my gf, i though she was the one but she wasn't i guess she couldn't handle me and my mental health issue anymore, none of many people cared about me much and I always see these plastic model kit always been my friend since they always listen my thing and no judgement, not leaving me, not saying mean thing to me, always waiting there for me to play with them, posing them, paint them,... I always loved this hobby atleast it helped me to avoid tons of my mental issue for a few hours heh..

What if you only have side cutters? I'm quite curious about that since I only used my hand and nails for my sd gundams before and now since I'm planing to get a MGSD barbatos and only planning to get side cutters. So I'm wondering if it would break or the peice will break.

"I like the dropper bottles they come in." ... I totally see myself in that. (They're good paints too, but the dropper bottles is why I started and will continue to use them) Actually the reason I hand paint is kind of what you found, it's more personal. If your goal is "I want paint on model" you can dunk it in paint and call it a day. But something about layering the paint myself is why I even want to paint my models. It's personal.

Overall what’s your fav glass file? Do we need more than one glass file or can you sand a nub down to nothing just by using 1 glass file?
