Like you born 1950 and father a gunsmith (part time). 2010 found about .1 grams gold in SW Michigan with hundreds of hours high banking. Your flour gold and Arizonas Mosquito poop gold looks like boulders compared to Mich gold. Found decent gold NC LDMA Vein Mountain 2012/13. Stanton /Rich Hill AZ LDMA winters after.

Thanks for the informative video Gary. Im currently detecting a place where the gold has a black coating on it. Ive also noticed large boulders and chunks of conglomerate which is also black in colour. Theres no read up as to what the old timers were chasing to find the gold so I've been trying to connect dots.

That's Fascinating stuff Gary , i see why you like those Hydraulic pits , i would too , It would be great to be able to pick up where the old timers left off , find another lead or such of that conglomerate , they would have worked it probably till it petered out , but it would be nice to find another source of it somewhere nearby , maybe uncovered by weather erosion or buried under those mountains of rocks . Brother you do this for the deep contact with nature, gold is not the main point. I'm in northern Italy and probably what he found in a day I'll do in a year, but it's still a beautiful hobby
I did 5g in 4 hours. It's all research. And that research is also boots on the ground. Get out there and explore.

What do you think the old timers used to break it up before putting in the sluice box ?
Don't know if they did it by hand of if they had a ball mill. Pretty sure they broke it up and ran it, because it's hard to find any in the pit.

Jeff ,You need a 6000. you will destroy them and its heaps lighter that the sdc yeah you will need to find nearly 3 ounces to pay for it .but it will do that with ease.
So go on mate , buy it and never be in the b team again.

He was using his SDC 2300.
Mostly the people just look at the gold because they think it is the value but not watching the rock......if we do something to write the word "love" or "hope" or "life" or "encourage" or " joy" on the rock to sell to public.....this is the money......everyone have their value for how to find it's TRUE value....
