I have been threw a lot of the forest around here, pre and post fires. @ 70 years old have beat feet all over. The American river, Rubicon river and the Consumnes river canyons are all my play ground.

There's a couple spots up that way I'd love to hear your opinion on. Can't wait till the snow melts so I can get up there for a couple more hikes.
That looks like the fire up near Gossip Hump area, I picked that one the next year for Morel Mushrooms, and pulled about 2100lbs of delicious morels off the burn.
