I was using my bare hand as you are to sort a target in the scoop, got stung by a red ant on my pinky finger and it was pretty painful. Lasted for hours too. Benadryl helped alot. But I now wear gloves when targeting out the scoop! Be careful folks especially if youre allergic to bee stings etc..

Nice finds and I didn't have to get a sore throat from the caleche dust watching you. Those cholla needles are brutally painful, too. Lucky for you the wind didn't blow any needles into you like what happened to me. It was about a month after I'd been down there when I felt a pain in my foot wearing the boots I'd worn on that trip and found a needle in the boot. It was about this time of year when I was with my 2 brothers on one of my brothers claim about 10 miles from Quartzite. I got a signal on a high bench but couldn't break it out of the crack. It might have been a hot rock.Found about a half gram of really tiny pieces in 3 days. I found more on the middle fork of the Yuba river in about 2 hours on a rest on the drive down from Washington to meet up with my brothers in San Diego. I enjoyed the wildlife with doves, rabbits and coyotes and lizards of all discription and not a drop of rain and pretty warm, too.

Love that side of Arizona Biggest nugget I’ve ever held in my hand was from quartzite. (26 g) wasn’t mine but was still cool to hold . If you only saw one person I’d guess it was Eli working his claim. Very nice nuggets you guys collected. There was a big storm there last fall and it flooded every wash out there and moves tons of material . I reckon that’s why you found those pieces so near the surface. There’s a lot of gold out there buried under that caleche but digging it with electric rhoto hammers is brutal work. Any tips for hunting thick beds of paleo-placers with little to no bedrock exposed? I've been trying the gulches, ravines, and blow outs, but with no luck. I just picked up an Equinox 800 a few days ago, I want to find at least one little nugget before we leave Quartzite for the summer but I don't know exactly where I can legally prospect in the Q, I was thinking of walking the washes ? But still the laws are so hard to understand and locate. What area has a claim? Etc etc. I have about 1 1/2 weeks to figure it out before we start heading north for the summer. I am also sad I couldn't find a Pointer for sale 😔 the only shop in town said hes having a hard time getting them and hes closing soon to Head to Alaska. A Garrett or a Minelab pointer is what I want not enough time left to order one online. Oh well. Anyway I've always been interested in this hobby since I was a kid and never had time until I retired. • @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK

You really don’t need a pinpointer. Yes there are a lot of mining leases in Quartzsite that you definitely don’t want to be metal detecting on. Thank you guys for the knowledge, tips, and simple inspiration in my spare time. Even if you don't pan you views around as much as I wish you would in some spots. Haha! 🕵️
I wanted to go try and meet folks at the show here in Q but my anxiety/PTSD doesn't allow me to go to those places. I always run into people like this Chihuahua commenting guy, and things generally don't go good.
Some of us do this for the mental health and peace it provides. Folks like this commenter, I don't know why they bother. Soul suckers! I guess they just need the attention. Washed up and shown new things they don't wanna believe, so they attack rather than learn and join in on the fun. What a mindset.
Me, I'm just a guy who likes to light em up so they click my channel and see one more person ACTUALLY OUT HERE doing it. 💪 They are just begging for attention, let's give em more!
As ole Jeff Williams would say, get of the couch sonny boy!
Hahahah ya old bitter coot! Stay away! Gonna be too hot for ya anyways!

Cha’ Kaula yeah these guys spent that last 6 years salting the southwest desert, busting their asses to move hundreds or cubic meters of dirt into buckets, sweat their asses off, bleed, and all the while filming, documenting and teaching just to pretend they are finding gold……🙄🙄🙄

@@VendettaProspecting look at the algorithm chatter building the channel up! Normally I ignore it but these men work way too hard and do not deserve to get ragged on for no reason. I tried to look up the channel to see how it's really done but all I saw was someone sitting a chair eating cheetoes....could've been my reflection!
