A good sharp review. I took a test ride in Delhi today. I fit so well into this bike being small frame. Very torquey, eager to launch and for sure good looking. Hope it holds up well on long rides and can do a wee bit of office roading, in such case it becomes a good single companion ! Do let me know the performance if anyone has ridden it around 300-400 kms ?
The white and teal/blue wheels and frame one looks gorgeous. Reminiscent of a Ducati 750 SS frame. KTM and husky aren’t really comparable as they will actually be more of a gamble for reliability than RE and an expensive gamble.
One thing I noticed with Royal Enfield in Canada is that their 'budget' bikes, are no where near as budget as they appear based on their MSRP, as the fees their dealerships are charging are double most other brands. I was looking at the Himalayan 450 which is now on preorder here. MSRP was about 500-1000CAD less than the competition, but actual cost once fees were included pushed its price over bikes like the Honda NX500, KTM 390 Adv, Kawasaki KLR650, etc. They wanted almost 1000CAD for freight, and 500CAD for delivery inspection which is utterly ridiculous.
This is where their faltering begins. It's the Dealers. We have 1 BMW eurocycle in Vegas, and that is where the Enfield's are. I despise the dealership pushing the more expensive bikes. Actually surprised they carry Enfield's.

Apart from that, if it has a dark or night theme dash it looks good. Important data is there at a glance. Even riding modes? It must be a success story this bike.

Have you considered the Honda CL500 scrambler? Was leaning towards buying The triumph scrambler until I tried the Honda (which looks much better in the flesh than in photos/videos). The twin with that bit extra power and less vibes suited me more. My BMW K1600gt has barely been out of the garage since I got the Honda! 😂

The Guerilla is certainly on the shortlist for my next bike. It looks like it will be very easy to maintain and service with the price of parts and consumables being very reasonable. Insurance cost should also be somewhat decent.
I really like what RE has done and how they have progressed since their new, young CEO took the rains. He has truly turned the company around and done his father proud. I am in a conondrum of wanting to spend 250,000bhat/US$7,600 on a motorcycle next year as a gift/upgrade for me here in Thailand. I don't go on long rides, I always ride in shorts and flip flops and I just want something more powerful than the Kawasaki 150 that is my daily bike now (I do have a '99 Husqvarna SM610S that drops oil and has a bad miss and needs to go back to my mechanic). I can get anything from a wonderful used Yamaha MT10 to a RE 650cc twin or 450cc liquid cooled. I had an '89 and a '93 FZR1000 and an "02 R1 back in the states and loved the R1 but for my life here in Thailand now, I keep coming back to this Guerilla450. Maybe for the 2025 model they'll use upside-down front forks like on the Himalayan.
Shame about the looks of the exhaust, though! I know it's the modern look, but the exhaust (at least, to me) is one of the standout features of any bike! This exhaust is just a bit...meh!
How is it more powerful than the Speed 400? I believe the power specs are virtually identical. It also weighs about 30 lbs more and has a smaller tank. Not a fan of the looks, which of course is subjective. But I wonder if they're able to match the really fantastic build quality of the Triumph. I guess there will be plenty more comparos coming along.
@@Trackandshield I suggest you take an actual look at the bike instead of trashing the OEM who built it. There's nothing "rebadged" about it. No matter who builds it, Triumph sets the spec. and the fit and finish is as good as any British built Triumph. Bajaj has also built bikes for KTM and Husqvarna.
Wet weight of speed 400 is 176 kg while wet weight of guerrilla 450 is 185kg so its 9kg or 19.8 ib more heavy or or 4.9% more heavier whilw it produces same hp as speed 400 it also produces 6.25% more torque than speed 400 making it slightly faster on 0-100km then speed 400.
lacking rider aids, if someone needs those on a bike this size they have no business riding full stop, personal;ly with the looks and specs they have nailed it
Nice looking wee bike, odd tyre choice tho and won’t show off handling. Will be first thing that’ll get changed no doubt by owners. Set of MT60RS or super moto tyres or M9RRs would be nice 💡 would I have over a Husky or XSR700? Probably not but will keep Triumph 400 honest and still a good A2 choice. Was hoping for a budget ‘Desert Sled’ which is a bit of a missed opportunity.
They have priced it right and nailed the look. This is gonna be a success in my opinion. Overall there is a lot going on in the 400-500 cc segment. :)

It does have day-night mode, u can see dark mode if u go to a shade

Valve checks on a Honda CB500F are every 16,000 miles vs 3000 miles on this . That seems a little weird .
It looks like someone described to the designer, who had never seen one, over the phone a Ducati Desert Sled.

Triumph build quality is a hoax... It's just a rebadged bajaj bike. Who are known for frugal bikes not best quality

RE build quality is a match for most now. Fantastic paint finish which is way better than my Honda. That’s why I’ve had two REs in recent years.

Looks great, but.... The CFMOTO NK450 is £4300 ATM, super smooth, great sound 270 Deg twin.....
But it is a streetfighter style bike. The RE is a classic roadster style which looks a lot better in my opinion.
