From the makers of Soothe comes: Bloom!
Вставка

- I went to NAMM for the first time in my life and got to hang with the homies from Oeksound!
The Finnish geniuses who gave us one of the all time greatest plugins: Soothe, are finally letting the world get a taste of their upcoming masterpiece: Bloom.
Described as an "adaptive tone shaper" it truly does just that. It adapts and it shapes. This is a really great addition to the Oeksound catalog and they just keep coming out with great products. This could possibly end up being one of the top plugins of 2024. Truly impressive.
I can't see a reason why this wouldn't be an amazing tools for literally all categories of music makers including: producers, engineers, mixing engineers and even mastering engineers.

Finally some more bloom content! Super hyped for this one
Hehe I gotchuu. And same! Will def do a more indepth one once it's officially out, but I can't yet because it's still in Beta.
Great one! Love oeksound and def looking forward to this one. Thanks for all the info!
My pleasure! Yeah it's a doozy of a plugin!
definitely looking forward to using this plugin, good seeing you bud
Eyyyyyyy Jesse! Great to hear from you man! Been too long. Hope you've been awesome! And yes you'll love Bloom.
"i already know what this plugin does" proceeds to know absolutely nothing about the plugin 😂
Hahahah.. so true 😂. Although I wassss hoping to ask some questions where I might learn something other than the basics heh.
Great interview
Appreciate that seriously... I tried to ask questions that I knew he probably wouldn't usually get. He probably got a slew of all the same questions 10 times through out that day lol.
3:08 - Great feature!
Yess. Been trying to wrap my head around all the best possible use cases recently. So many.
Love your style Nico! Hit us up if you want to review some of the Safari Pedals plugins
Hah was just talking about you guys with Myon (DJ/Producer). I'll grab your contact from him.
Are you and oliver still using Thimeo Stereo Tool aka the secret sauce ?, please do tutorial on that would be super helpful
haha wow that is a huge topic to discuss... it's honestly a MASSIVE rabbit hole that involves the entire history of radio broadcast processing etc. But lemme think about that and see if I can figure out a way to do something on the idea. I've been unfortunatly super busy with normal life so I've had to put all video stuff on a back burner. But in short to answer your question, we're not using it really. It's quite heavy handed usually and it's quite difficult to setup in a controlled and non-OTT way at least for my taste. I've been personally more obsessed with developing a master chain that mimics Serban's style and I started making a video on that topic so maybe I can touch on this aspect there.
@@nicostadi yeah that software is too complicated.
The Serban video would be interesting..when it drops ppl from gearspace will tear it apart 😂
@@SatishKumar-yv3ke haha I count on that. That’s where all the information comes from of course thanks to John. But yeah it’s a massive rabbit hole as well.
Im interessted what its going to cost again and if existing customers of soothe 1/2 and spiff will get discounts 🙊
Yeahh no clue on that!
what studiomonitors are these ?
Those are Amphions! Also made in Finland 🇫🇮
so how is it different from Gullfoss?
I’ll be honest I never spent tonss of time with Gullfoss cuz I never really got into it that much and didn’t wanna chalk up the $$ since I already had Soothe. I get what the appeal is, but just not my cup of tea. From what time I spent with it, it definitely couldn’t get squash/compress or very extremely alter sounds. It was more like a spectral rebalance tool to usually help on the mix buss. Bloom on the other hand can achieve OTT like settings if you want, you can really change the characteristics of sounds quite drastically if you want. But with more subtle settings it can behave sort of like Gullfoss but just with way more flexibility. Now that the plugin is out, you can try a demo or check out other videos of people showcasing it. I’m making a video where I show how I use it.
Is this the same Nico Stadi that has produced for our gurl, Sidibe?
Haha same dude!
When is it coming out??
Soonish! No date set yet I don’t think
Sound examples?
Yeah I feel ya heh. In an ideal world, I would have brought some sort of thing to record the output but as this was my first time at NAMM I didn’t even think that far ahead lol. The plugin should be coming out fairly soon 🤞 so there will be plenty examples then. I’m gonna do a full sort of breakdown of it at that point. I couldn’t show a lot of detail of the plugin itself either per their request because it’s still in Beta. But yeah I wish I had brought some sort of mixer setup with me in hindsight. I think they would have let that happen.
@@nicostadi ooks sä nico ghost producer?
Heh… oon tehny sellasta joskus EDM puolella
Haha, nice! What music you produce now? I could like to listen ur stuff@@nicostadi
@@partlysimpson5154if you check the video description, there’s a link to my songwriter Spotify page that has some of the stuff I’ve written/produced listed there. My SoundCloud has the house music side of things that I used to do.
hmm it seems like Bloom is the copy of Izotope Neutron's Sculptor and Stabilizer module
Gullfoss
Naw… there are lots of those types of spectral/equalizer tools out there, like Gulfoss. Bloom is definitely not that. Soothe is closer to those I’d say. Bloom shares some underlying philosophy that’s similar for sure, but it’s not the same. If it was, it would be fairly redundant to have 2 Soothe like plugins in the same company. With Bloom you can achieve effects similar to OTT, but without the exaggerated expansion/upwards comp. Or more broad and subtle “tone shaping”. You can in theory achieve some similar effects with other tools when being subtle, but not really when you got to the “squash” mode.
so... what does it do besides force us to use our ears
It makes things bloom... duh.
