Rev a shelf makes a really nice trash pull out that is really easy to install inside your kitchen cabinets for the average DIY person. In this video i will show you the double and single bottom Mount Rev-A-Motion Wood Waste Containers.
These waste containers are the only bottom mount units available with Rev-A-Shelf’s patent pending Rev-A-Motion® Soft Open-Soft Close slide system. The gas assisted Soft-Open allows the unit to open smoothly and the Soft-Close shuts softly, even under the heaviest of loads. These garbage pull outs are really easy to install with only five screws and features a really nice dovetail constructed frame that holds the waste bins.Rated for 150 lb, your garbage never had it so good!

I had the best one in my old kitchen. No drawer above it so no bending and I could just pull it open a little and sweep the debris straight in. I really miss my old bin!

Wow, that’s enough trash space for almost a full afternoon! 😂

What I have found through the years is that the wealthy seem to need less trash space 🤣 Maybe they eat out a lot.

DIY feels misleading. Buying a $250 drawer kit isn't what I had in mind

Looking for a version only 600mm deep. Any ideas?

Is there a way to adjust how far the drawer comes out? Our stops to soon and makes it difficult to pull the back garbage can out.

The piston makes the door very hard to open - disappointed there is no adjustment?!

Hey, I want to adjust it so it pulls out farther. Can't get my recycling bin out. I found a little tab on the bottom right of it, but I can't figure out how to adjust it permanently. Any help would be great.

Great video and thanks for the overview. I have since installed one and pulling the slide outs seems a bit heavier than expected - is there anyway to adjust the slide or pneumatic system? Thanks in advance.

      Thanks!
Unfortunately I have not seen anything that lets you adjust the amount not energy it takes to get it open. It does require a little more umph to pull it than normal slides due to the gas shock... possible that the shock may be malfunctioning?

Hmmm. What's new? For soon 20 yrs Ikea have had a similar pull out system under up to 90 cm wide sinks (with space for up to 6 bins).

That is a great space saving option. Especially under the sink.

Got one installed...great...except for the tension on the self closing piston makes it hard to open. Wish there was a way to make the piston open easier.

what do you do if you have a shaker style door, the brackets end up on the 1/4 center panel. my guess is to add 1/2 inch ply to the inside of the door panel

Jason: Do you think the one-garbage-can slide in your video could be used in a retrofit for tradition under the sink cabinetry that has a single drain sink with a slim garbage disposal? And would you just attach the vertical mounts a little asymmetrically the cabinet doors, or would that pose a problem over time?

How do you think this would hold up with the jostling of a boat?

    • @DoingitWithjason
      @DoingitWithjason  3 роки тому +1

Great question! I personally think it would work great. It has a really tight stay closed system and takes a bit of force to get it to start opening
