Thanks Dan. I actually traded a 2007 Screamin' Eagle Road King with the 110 on this Fatboy and there is NO comparison. The NEW Road King in Standard or Special trim is awesome though. Still, I don't think I would ever trade this bike for ANYTHING.
@@marylandmotorhead-johnonei6038 I can definitely understand that ha. I'm just cough between the two _ new or very newish. Seems like you get a bit more bang for your buck with the RK
@@danthechippie4439 Yes, depending on what's important to you. If better power to weight ratio, i.e. better acceleration, superior handling, shorter braking distances and better m.p.g. are NOT as important to you as storage capacity or passenger comfort, the Road King would be the better choice. Also, in my opinion, the Fatboy just flat out LOOKS better!
@@marylandmotorhead-johnonei6038 hi John, and merry Christmas to you and yours. Do you really think the fatboy handles better than the road king with them tyres? Also fatboy is single brake disk where the king has 2. The fatboy sure is the better looking bike
Merry Christmas Dan! 🎄 You're right that the RK is easier to throw into a corner; my thought process was using the Softail chassis in general vs. the Touring chassis. You may have a point about the brakes though with the RK having better brakes but it is heavier, which could negate that advantage. At the end of the day, these are cruisers, not racing bikes so it probably doesn't matter!
Beautiful Fat Boy, I just picked up a new Fat boy and wanted bags and a windshield for it asap. I like your setup 👌
Great video John, bike looks great. The fatboy has always been my dream harley although the road king gas started to impress me lately
