Ka has such a superb chassis, along with the Puma and Fiesta of the same era
had a ka back in 2000 put a 1800 zvh turbo in it had 240 bhp .Also had 6 pages in performance ford so much fun shame we have to get old.
I bought one of the older ka models about ten years ago as a little project....brilliant little cars...go kart like handing and very eager little engines... loved watching this build series... great work as always.

Great car to learn motorsport! The ka is a great little car to learn the basics. Many years ago my partner had one and I refused to drive it as it was a ( girlie/granny car) long story short after a day with the ka I loved it. It was just like my 89 1340 fast road spec mini I had at the time. I didnt knock the ka after this

Just some info if ya don’t know you can’t run abs in the Series but you need the rear connected because that’s what picks up the signal for the Speedo just unplug the front and remove the sensors and that’s all you need to do but the rear sensors need to be still fitted on both sides or the Speedo will not work . You guys should whack on a 1.6 sport ka throttle body, nearly twice the size of the 1.3 and it bolts straight in par a slight tighten of the cable to definitely improves the throttle response compared to the 2 pence piece sized 1.3 body, really nice thorough work though👍

I was at Donny in the other Ka (before someone else rolled it!) I didnt realise yours was a new build. Looks like a clean build, didnt know about driving inputs needing to be included in mandatory camera, I shall go re-read the regs! see you on the grid in April!

2.22 DATA LOGGERS:
2.22.1 All vehicles are required to run a functioning data logger. The data collected must be
available to the series organisers and Clerk of the Course on request and must be available
for inspection for a minimum of 5 full days after the event.
2.22.2 The Series Organisers reserve the right to supply and fit a specific data loggers to
competitor’s cars. Once fitted, the device must remain in place and operational until
removed by the Series Organisers or Series Scrutineer and must not be modified/removed.
The data will belong to the Series Organisers and may be made available to the competitor
at the Series Organisers discretion.
2.22.3 It is the Competitors responsibility to ensure that the data system and sensors are functional
and logging at all times during the event that the car is running. The minimum logged data
must include, maximum speed, RPM, and lap/sector times.

I did donnington last year in my rx8 is a great track had lots of fun Better than castle coome or silverstone to big

a KA with a turbo would be fun!
Think about 10 years ago my mate was overtaken at the ring by a ka in pits bonnet up had a turbo .
I quite like the Chinese turbo kit idea for 150 quid piggy back an ecu of some type
half hour in and wrong spark plugs fitted :) are you coming to brands for the sprints ?
We need a new engine before we go out again. The sprints never appealed to us. Have a good time!

Hey guys ! Am just wondering as I want to stop my Omega 2.5 V6 and start making as a track car . But the main question is will I’ll be able to drive as daily car ? As it’s the only car I have lol
Depends how far you go with it as a track car. Coilovers and tires will be a big help then it will build from there. However, if something goes wrong on track, you only have that one car
Nice one guys, remember to change out the manifold and full exhaust, really cheap from euros, (that was the only non driver casualty in pink in your last race !! )6k is prity much on the money +++ 2k of data logger though. How did power compare to pink ?
Roger! I'll get one ordered and do a back to back dyno test! haha It made full power (Bring Pink for a free Dyno before Donington?) but we have the longer ratio box so its slow, short ratio in the workshop waiting to go in!
Coil pack as well, just got a duff injector that I'm swapping out now, as for pink yes will do 73 on the one we use, also need to get the leon mapped, so maybe do it in that first week April!!

Any tips on how and where to get started. Iv an rx8 that I track drive at event in the members club. But now want to buy cheap bmw strip it out to make total track driving get a trailer too starting at the bottom and work my way up What tracks can I do first I’m from Luton Any tips will be great
There are loads of dedicated Track forums, especially around BMWs. Tyres, Brakes, suspension and a cage first!

The x-bow racing series is a little more expensive so we'll stick with the KA for now
why not go for a fabia vrs with 1.9 can get them for near nothing and suite the company more?

Unfortunately nothing, we specialise in VAG (VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda) TDI and BMW Diesel Engines. (Add KA's when racing)
