As soon as Eurylachus kills the cows you can hear the music of God Games. But I like to imagine the moment he kills he cows Odysseus sighs and says: "Oh great! Boss music."
I noticed that everytime the crew messed something/anything up the first thing they say is "Captain?"... It's like they're holding Odyseus responsible for the problems they caused 😑 (after Odysseus repeatedly warn them not to do this specific things on various occasions)
@@notjustanotherharlow4776 Even if Eurylochus hasn't opened it, Poseidon would get them in the coast, maybe go as far as flowing the whole kingdom of Ithaca out of spite.

Ok so yeah he blames him for the loss of six men. But consider this perspective: he opened the bag, as he and the entire crew wanted to do. He is the voice of the crew. He didnt open it, KNOWING it would cause death. Ody? He knew the death would happen, it was an expected sacrifice. Even if it was the only way out
Besides, wasn't he the one in the first song of the Cersei saga who asked to abandon everyone and run away? What a hypocrite. I'm very disappointed in him.
He wasn't a hypocrite because they weren't abandoning EVERYONE. They'd be leaving behind a scouting party turned into pigs by a goddess; realistically, if Hermes didn't help, Eury would have been absolutely right that they should cut their losses and save the remaining men.
@@niapurdue230 I feel like this man thinks based on reality on what they should do… when it comes to Circe, the rest of his decisions are questionable at best

This song annoys me from a story perspective He blames Odysseus for the loss of 6 men YOU OPENED THE BAG that killed most of the crew You also wanted to leave the remaining crew at circes turned into animals If anything Odysseus cant trust you all And that makes his decision in ThunderBringer a bit more easy to bear
i guess Eurylochus wanted peace of mind and for the issue to be water under the river, he still wanted sympathetic leadership, not someone hellbent on their own goals who lets ends justify means
From eurylochus perspective Odysseus keep on brushing Eurylochus concerns aside when his recklessness was killing members of the crew, not to mention there was a god planting seeds of doubt when it came to the bag. Like a big sentiment of the musical is Odysseus and the crew are just men who will make dumb mistakes and decisions. Also with the whole circe situation he thought his crew(it wasn't the remaining crew members it was the the group Odysseus sent to go scout the island) were as good as dead and wanted to save the remaining crew members, there was no way in knowing that Odysseus would get help from hermes which was the only way Odysseus could beat circe. There's a big difference between a goddess turning a group of the crew into pigs and wanting to leave them since you had no idea how to save them, and your captin/BIL/friend killing off six of your crew members(One of which could've been you if you didn't hand off your torch) In the end they're all just men in a tragedy, and asking decisions most people would make in there place. Like yeah you can say Odysseus had lost trust because of the abg opening so his actions are justifiable but you could easily argue that the crew had lost trust in Odysseus back in the cyclops saga when a big portion of their crew died or in the ocean saga when an even bigger portion of their crew died all because of Odysseus's recklessness. They're both in the wrong in their own ways trying to pin the blame on either one just defeats the point and takes away the humanity of these characters by overly villianizing one's actions and overly undermining the other's.

The Cow 🐄 killed me 😂
I like to imagine that the cow didn't even die since it was inmortal but was left in shock looking at them with her wound open.
Oh God are they talking about the red cows of Apollo? His precious cows he had fought many others because of them? Oh God they will anger another one 😂😂
No. At the time, Apollo was a minor god. Helios was the sun god. Later, the cows would eventually become his, but that wont happen for a while now.
@@RoshieFlower77 Apollo was never a minor god, he was always an Olympian. He just didn’t inherit the title of sun god until later.

While he did open the bag, even without opening the bag, Odysseus had already pissed off Poseidon, so those men would have likely died no matter what.
