The Call of Duty series holds a very nostalgic place in my heart so, even for me, it's difficult to be super critical. The older games (mw, mw2, bo, bo2, etc.) were a huge part of my childhood and even to this day I still find them super fun to play...but at this point the series is so drawn out. I really appreciate the 2019 version of Modern Warfare but man, these past few COD games have been extremely lackluster...

I used to always play COD, it was a good run experiencing it, the old classic camera was just nostalgia.
New installments were garbage tho.
I sometimes pirate Modern Warfare (the old trilogy) and Infinite Warfare (underrated story, in my opinion).
The Classic COD is better than the new ones because the new ones are like, cashgrabs

Not only that, but you have to g r i n d to get the really good weapons. And by the time you do, they've released the next one. Or, you buy their pack for their weapons for an extra $40, and then get to have actual fun in the game, until they release another next year and it's dead within the month.
Eh, that’s one thing I’ll give to MW and CW, their post launch guns system is great
if you have to grind to get the weapons you’re doing something wrong. 8 hours playtime tops and you have all of them
Idk which cod you are talking about but in the newer cods like modern warfare and cold war you could obtain most of the dlc guns in the game within a day bro

Last COD game I remember enjoying was Black Ops 2. Still go back to it to this day. You get the occasional hacker, but once you get a good game, it’s great.
Yep. BO2 was the most awesome complete package. Good campaign, good multiplayer, good zombies, runs well across all hardware

As a OG Call of Duty player, I can agree this is true.
I personally play Call of Duty mainly for the singleplayer campaign and I did enjoy Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War a lot.

I feel like that when Cod releases something good, they jump on it and replicate it, this happened slow with MW and WW2 but with the futuristic shit snd going back to the old wars, it just got worse, the most annoying thing i find is that none of the modern games have connected with each other in terms of continuing the story, no, the link with Warzone doesn’t count, Warzone is Cod’s BR it’s gonna be staying for 4 years until they replace it and forget it, i just want them to go back to making Game 1 and Game 2 and make a series for the franchise, and i know the campaigns and continuation of the story wouldn’t help the gameplay much, but a good story is a step forward, after that they could work on the multiplayer and the “Extra mode” as i’ll call it, being good, with all this quarantine shit I’m surprised they didn’t take the communities advice and wait a year, hell, i think the only good thing from cod now is MW3 remastered because i’d rather see my favorite Campaign remastered than a generic shooter game based on the past wars.
Tbh the only upcoming COD I've been excited for in a couple years is the 2022 version of mw2, MW definitely slapped but I think it's a good rule of thumb to wait a month or two before buying (cod's pre- order content has always been a bit lackluster anyway)

@@apexhunter935 Very, VERY, wrong opinion, Zombies is at worst Infinity wards mostly bad attempts at recreating Treyarch’s gem of a gamemode, and at best BO1 and 2, for me and basically most people, the Zombies are usually the best part of the game when everything is either mediocre or bad, except maybe Cold war since i liked the Multiplayer more than Zombies.

Personally, I believe that Activision should release a new COD every two years. The reason I support this idea is because it would let people save an additional 60 dollars a year and it would give the developers more time to release and produce the game.

@@mattai075 yea, it's basically just a Battlefield game being a Battlefield game, with some "Historical Inaccuracies" that I think makes it pretty unique, if only they turn it to an Alternate DieselPunk WW2 instead, then I'll guess no one would be mad about the "Inaccuracies"
And then there's BF Portal, which is them admitting they don't know a thing about WW2, I like it when they do it, kinda feels like they're actually apologizing, and that is also exactly why I think today's Battlefield is gonna be good

@DocPool buy their unfinished games yearly, and hyped to get bragging rights with disposable weapon skins that won't matter until next year. This goes to both Activision marketing and influencers that focus on microtransaction openings/collections.

Sounds like it'd be easy to work on Call of Duty games, I mean all you gotta do is press CTRL C and CTRL V and the game's done
The reason call of duty warzone is so large isnt because it has lots of content its actually because its running off a engine not designed for open world causing loading issues so instead of fixing the loading problems they just copy and paste the same asset over and over again though the entire game rather than poitng to the same model and reusing it so they literally have hundreds of copies of the exact same oil drum model or what ever they want just repeated over and over again in your hardrive. Your comment might have been a joke but its actually what the developers do.
