Twitter makes me dislike the output future for humanity online, and I'm an optimist! But on a serious note, social media in general has many similar problems to Twitter, its just that Twitter is far more prevalent in peoples lives (unfortunately) and the way engagement and tweet algorithms are set up (like the 280 character limit which makes your first tweet severely simplified and bound to be an overgeneralized version of your thoughts)

In my country there's usually that one twitter girl who's a student in university that always make post in english and thought simply by using english language she's superior and "different" than other people and openly mocks other that disagrees with her opinion and thinks hating the government is cool because she stood up against "evil gubberment" . A Twitter user who uses the site as a method of talking about their favorite fandom. Some of the more common groups are the Anime Fans, Cartoon Fans and Furries. Fans are actually a pretty big group and contain many subgroups like “The Fanartist”, “The Roleplayer”, “The Casual” and “The Toxic Asshole”. Nothing is wrong with being a fan, but it would probably be best for the prior three if they instead stuck to a different social media platform and left the last one listed to stay one Twitter.
Literally me, The Fan artist and The Casual as well. 10 months of using Twitter and finally leave it this week because of toxic environment. I'm now stuck to IG only.

Twitter condensed so many negative things into one wretched experience.
1: Death of nuance because length limitation encourages glib nonsense. Straw men galore.
2: Nobody is interested in being disagreed with on twitter. They want to say controversial things and have everyone clap for them.
3: Nobody knows how to discuss things properly on Twitter. Controversial statements are met with a flood of blind agreement or incoherent screeching.
4: You used to be able to "star" tweets to find them later. Like a bookmark. This was later changed to "heart"-ing tweets, and now people try to cancel you using this bookmarking mechanism on tweets they don't agree with.
5: After Tumblr imploded, all the special Tumblr people -- you know, people most famous for harassing filmmakers who don't respect their ship -- ended up on Twitter. So now Twitter is twice as worse as it was before.

Fun fact: Twitter is such a big platform with so many people that it can't really be that people on twitter are different from the rest of society. Meaning that people on twitter are a generel representation of the people you encounter on a day to day basis. The only difference is that people on twitter share there opinion more widely and openly. So always remember when you see people on twitter with outrageous disgusting personalities and opinions that these are the people that you actuelly deal with irl and that are actually wildly spread in our society.
