This keertana in nATa rAgam is the first of the five pancaratna keertana-s given by tyAgarAja swAmi. This is the only pancaratna keertana composed in samskrtam (rest four are in Telugu). This was beautifully sung as always by Balu garu. In original, there are few other charaNam-s, please check if interested. If you learn the beautiful language of samskrtam, and understand the meaning, the keertana gets much more beautiful in your heart, because I quote "sangItam api sAhityam sarasvatyA sthana dvayam. EkamApAta madhuram anyadAlOcanAmrtam". Just for example, I'll explain anupallavi and one of my favorite caraNam-s: gaganAdhipa (Sun) satkula (dynasty) ja (born in) rAjarAjEshwara (king of all king lords) suguNAkara (embodiment of good virtues) surasEvya (the One served by dEvata-s) bhavyadAyaka (giver of greatness/great things) sadA (always) sakala jagadAnanda kAraka (the giver of happiness to all world) jaya jAnaki prANanAyaka (victory to the Lord of Mother jAnaki). My another most favorite phrase is: OmkAra panjara kIra pura hara (the One who is manifested within praNava; like a parrot in a cage called OmkAra; the slayer of pura, ie. shiva) sarOja bhava (caturmukha brahma) kEshavAdi rUpa (viShNu and others) O rAma, you are the form of shiva, brahma and viShNu.. and so on! 🎶🙏
