Excellent video. I really like how you use your boat to sightsee while traveling to campsites. I have the Excursion 5 with 55lb Minkota motor and a 80ah battery. It works great but I actually use a wooden floor. It's more difficult to set up and breakdown and the floor can be a pain to transport but it's SOOO much more stable on the water. Have you thought about adding the floor? Either way, great vids man. The little lady and puppies are all adorable.🤙

That battery is on sale currently at $799 too! I went with the 50Ah for now and installed a volt meter with switch to monitor the battery charge. Works really well and that light weight is priceless!
Hey bro, just searched on Amazon for the Coleman Rechargeable pump but they only have the 4D batteries model or the 12v vehicle model. Some reviewers say it only has one adapter (large) and no pin adapter for the floor, Is that right? Thank you.
I'm not sure about the last question but keep looking for rechargeable one. I have the 4D Battery version too and it's not as good.

Haha- I do get sunburned! We have a Bimini but but rarely put it on, mainly because she doesn't want shade. Thank you!

110ah is perfect + 40lb thrust minn kota trolling motor lasts 8 hrs and if you want more hrs get 2 batteries or solar panel + put a floor in which is so easy and brings the standard of the boat which is what it will be after the mods... I'm from the Midlands in England and still have loads of fun on this mf,,, boats cheap enough to replace too
Totally understand the cost logic of the new battery and also the love of the excursuon 5 (which I also have and modified) but I would still begrudge spending that amount of money on a battery and not perhaps on an upgraded boat?
Hello Nathan… then you have registration costs on the boat and trailer, storage and maintenance. $900 doesn’t go far on boats…
Question do you use your battery box for your new battery? Also would a 50ah battery be ok for going out for 3-4 hours at a time? I’m new to all this and trying to figure it out I appreciate your videos they are great!!!
Yes- I put the lithium battery on the plastic box for protection. You should be fine with a 50 am/hr if you’re not running the motor the entire time…

Hi Barrie, the Battle Born battery is a 100 amp/hour lithium battery. Likely, there are European companies offering the same product but I don’t know of any. If it’s hard to find you could use a lead acid battery- they are just heavier with less power output…

Hi Karen… we have small carabiners to hook it to the tote. That stroller caddy is so handy!

I just got a seahawk 4 , comparable size to yours and a minn kota 30lbs with a 100ah agm deep cycle marine battery. and I got zero experience. at what wind speeds would you rather stay home? Is 11 mph too much wind for the setup? I live in finland and we have massive lakes out here and I don't wanna worry about if the wind is too strong to reach the shore again.
also, could you make a video on how to enter a soft inflatable boat without a hard floor correctly? I don't wanna step in and fall on my ass while the boat runs away to the middle of the lake. thanks!
Hello! Take a look at our “big waves” vid. Going the other direction would have been impossible… and that’s with a 40-lb thrust. On that, I would recommend getting a 40-lb thrust for a 4-person raft. I’ve had 4 people in my Excursion with a 30-lb thrust motor and it wouldn’t move when heading into a slight breeze. As far as getting in… in shallow water just sit at the back of the raft, spin halfway around then, with your feet in the raft just slide into the seat!
