Good job on the video, lots of useful information. I was hoping to see a specialized tool that would make the brake cable easier to remove than using a pair of pilers. If one's out there, please post a link to it. Thanks.
Overall this is a solid video, however I absolutely do not recommend pinching off the break hose as it can damage the break hose internals. Just let the fluid drip in a drip pan and just refill the DOT 3 in the reservoir.
Great video and here is a neat trick. Use a pole/board/pipe etc that's long enough to go from the brake pedal to the drivers seat front. Set it up to depress the brake pedal just to the point resistance starts and leave it. The normal amount of fluid comes out initially loosing the line at the caliper, but then it stops. This procedure prevents brake fluid from emptying the reservoir and you don't risk damaging the line by crimping it. Neat trick.
Thank you! I have a 2015, but you showed me the things I needed to know!

Great video. Was able to replace the caliper without issue. The torque specs is exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Just wondering at 6.13 the brake line appears to be directed up?
Excellent presentation! This is what I was looking for on my 06 Buick lacrosse, not exactly the same caliper but close enough, well done 👍
How to remove the emergency cable on a 2012 Chevy impala ltz rear caliber?
Do I do it the same way as show in this video?
Thanks for the video, boss. This was extremely easy to do after watching.

Didn't know if you had this🙂
bro crimp off that brake hose or put a valve stem in there so brake fluid isn't pouring out of the hose.
