    Hopefully I can just get back there with a swivel head and get to that nut without taking everything else off. Will find out in a few days.
    Good video though! All the other ones are the rear knuckle. Nothing on this.

    I only removed the wire and the 2 bolts that hold the control arm. Put a box end Wrench on the bolt side then you can go under the car, reach between the muffler and subframe and then over it. Use a deep well socket , 5 or 6” extension and crank the nut off. So easy it took longer to watch this video.

    hi and great video....ty. at 3:50 you used your air ratchet to take out that large bolt, and the other, to loosen the subframe i guess its called. I cant fully remove that bolt you did first. I think to my dismay that the weldnut thats hidden inside that frame rail gave way. Bolt wont come out but did loosen. UGH. any ideas?

    • @AnythingAuto
      @AnythingAuto  3 роки тому

      After watching the video again I didnt mean to remove any if them. The 2nd bolt never came out for me. Dropping it that inch or two gives you enough room without removing the k frame completely. Now if you mean they don't come out st all im not sure. Im not sure if you can even see the top of it to see if the base is spinning.

    Besides the upper and lower control arm, and the shock and spring, is there any other suspension part you could replace? Such as sway bar link?

    • @AnythingAuto
      @AnythingAuto  2 роки тому +1

      All cars have different suspension but simpler cars you do have sway bar links, sway bar bushings.

    Great video. Question. I know that I need to replace my rear control arms on my 09 G6 sedan. Would that also cause my rear wheels to lean inward?

    How can I tell if I actually need to replace any of this? I have bad inner tire wear trying to figure out why. Had an alignment done on the rear but apparently a bolt was stripped. I have the upper control arm off. But I’m trying to find out the official cause or what to actually check to have it replaced and then realign it once again.

    • @AnythingAuto

      Best thing to do is check the rubber bushings. If it's torn or dry rotted that's a good sign. i hope this video helps. feel free to like and subscribe for more & if you can, please help the channel out by giving a super thanks. Got back underneath. My bushings are indeed shot on the control arm on both sides. Not the upper but the one to the left of the upper if on driver side. To the right if on passenger side. Those bolts will not come out for anything.
