@@UnrelatedAntonym while that's an interesting theory, I doubt that G-Man is a grub. He has very different powers to what the Advisors have been shown to display.
one thing i think is actually really interesting about this video is that the interlopers all seem to give disjointed answers, walking to yes very clearly but then backing out and walking to no, making it unclear if they are actually interacting with the map or if its just input from another demo on a different map/game, and the movements and inputs mean nothing, or if its all random. You also have to question if even if they weren't just random could the interlopers even understand the text on the wall? if they're AI they may not recognize it as text just more terrain, and if they're something more supernatural we don't know how they actually interact with the game worlds. But I think we do actually get a definitive answer on whether or not the interlopers can atleast understand the questions, cause after being asked, "Are you trapped?" the type 5 demo generated shows a ragdoll squirming in place, its limbs restrained as it desperately attempts to move, but the camera also leaves the bounds of the map and goes somewhere else entirely. Both of these are actually 2 different answers to the question "Are you trapped?" since one shows a ragdoll very clearly trapped in place, and the other shows the camera being able to freely move and fly away from its bounds and break all restrictions on itself showing that whatever is controlling the camera very clearly is not trapped. I should also point out the ragdoll stuck in place seems to be trying to move towards "yes" while the camera flies through "no". There are atleast 2 entities here, if not more, and one of them is more powerful and free than the other.
You sure it wasn't random? If it has random wasd inputs at the time, then why not space? My theory is, the types are recordings of versions of an ai messing around, while this guy, old 2000s guy, was recording, the ai slowly began to grow more mindful, maybe the types of the recordings are the ai becoming smarter? Possibly those iterations of AI which became so smart became the interlopers while those that were close, type 5s being super able to move around were attempted to be disposed for one reason or another Tl;dr, my personal theory and I think those 2 jumps were accidental, sorry for the bummer.
In my theory, each type is how smart an ai is, and each recording is a unique one. Continuing this theory, the AIs which start becoming too smart, type 5's who (possibly) gain sentience, are stopped by interlopers. Interlopers don't have anything concrete in my theory, they might be 4th dimensional watchers that stop ai from becoming too smart for all I know, or a backup the source engine made to prevent end-of-the-world smart ai's. I think that each type is a AI either growing smarter or being at a certain level. Each time they do go through a stage, they sometimes may develop into a stage 2 by some rare chance, and so on till stage 5, might explain why so few of stage 5's exist. Dunno tho, just a theory!
If the ai tried dragging the camera to hazflick I wonder if there are interloper elements present in the hl2 beta and how far back the command has been embedded in the source engine. It would be crazy if that incredibly out of place clock in d1_terminal had some correlation to the Interlope command being on a time clock but thats just my schiz theory mind going...
Exactly I am positive that the map that the thing flew to at the end is an early 2001 version of d1_terminal because it uses the sky_C17_01 skybox found in that map, there is definitely some beta correlation, especially since in the earliest possible know concept in the beta, (pre-1999 pre pitch) had Gordon, or the character be a drone or agent for the gman, so this could be one of his employers going through different universes to find new recruits and possible keep order inside them, hell Gman might actually have a secret empire that spans past what the combine could even conceive, stretching across every universe, every possible universe, and every single independent coordinate in each of those parallel universes. Ok wow that was a lot.
The map in the distance is more than likely hazflick from the hl2 beta, from what I can tell everything lines up, same ambience same layout and all the textures are the same, both skybox and level.
The Dynamic NPC in the last one where the camera goes out of the map, It appears that it is trying its hardest to say "YES", but something is blocking it.
Am i the only one who thinks the map at the end of the 2 hour long demo is the same map used in the fsky ad? That would make much more sense than it being a random hl2 beta map to me. This was uploaded 3 years before Eida found out about fsky. Maybe the ouija board technique let him find it in 2014? Or, since he's using an unknown hammer entity. Maybe he found out about fsky back when he originally uploaded this video and paid for fsky's server hosting services so he can generate demos for his question maps? Im worried we'll never see episode 1 or 2, or even 4 of these old videos. Interloper means something interfering with something else, so that most likely means fsky's server hosting and plugins were somehow so advanced that it became sentient and managed to hack valve which is how the interloper command exists in this universe. And why the numbers at the end of the command seem like part of a server ip. The new dm editor is likely just a feature of fsky. Still wonder how it works, if it literally sucks you into the game that would be creepy but silly. Wonder what dm is supposed to mean, direct motion? Maybe dm means something with game devs and tech savvy people, maybe dm means something in other engines. We should try grabbing all the weird numbers found in the map files and try finding out what the fsky url is, maybe its a binary code or puzzle.
I looked at the unkown entity and it is a logic_case entity. It allows you to have inputs and outputs, so you can input value 1, and it will activate what is in output 1. It also has a random feature, with two types, one being completely random and the other being a shuffle. Shuffle is random too but it will not repeat values.
No I'm positive that it is D1_terminal_01 or an early version of C17 from 2001 because it uses the sky_c17_01 skybox used heavily during early 2002 or late 2001
